Annapolis City Dock is situated next to the U.S. Naval Academy and offers a variety of Restaurants, Bars, Shopping, Bay Cruises and plenty of places just to sit, stroll or taken in the views of the Harbor and Ego Alley. The area is not only a favorite for tourist but is also frequented by locals.Parking is metered at the harbor and somewhat limited during peak season. There are multiple locations that offer garage parking that are within walking distance to the harbor.

EVERY time we go to Annapolis we enjoy LOVE visiting the Annapolis City Dock !!! YES!!! Tons of parking near the dock or on the streets. Normally you have to meter pay to park but this time parking was free !!!YES!!! Just wow! It is so lively here. The view is breathtaking with hundreds of sailboats. There are lots of restaurants, shops and cafes. We had so much fun exploring this place and near by area. Parking is easily accessible, it’s $1.50 for 30 minutes.

Annapolis city dock is such a special place to visit! Along with being right next door to the United States Naval Academy, and its history! And, all of the history of the area being a world harbor! The waterfront is so inviting to simply people watch and watch ships and sailboats come and go! My day at the city docks included walking up the very historic cobblestone street of Main Street and getting a lobster roll from Masons Famous Lobster Rolls and eating it on a lovely bench right next to the water! It was so perfect! And, Masons Lobster Rolls is not to be missed!!

A great place to spend the afternoon! Plenty of choices for dining and drinks, and some intriguing shops, all with a view of the sailboats and yachts on the Chesapeake Bay. You can hop on a tour boat for a trip around the bay, and they even offer haunted Annapolis tours! A very festive atmosphere pervades the area, which is kid and dog friendly.

A great place to visit on a nice day. Strolling around the waterfront, window shopping and stopping into one of the many pubs or restaurants, its easy to make a full day of it. Theres always something interesting to see or do. On a clear day, you can see the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in the distance.

Social distancing and masks are required, but everyone enjoyed a beautiful day in Annapolis, MD. Very pleasant atmosphere and the shops and streets were not crowded on our weekday visit. Outdoor dining under canopy- covered seating was popular and 50% seating capacity was available indoors. We only had to wait ten minutes for a table.

How is the MD Governor issuing executive orders about the scores of rules around Covid-19, but down the street at the Annapolis City Dock it is complete lawlessness. Virtually no masks, crowds everywhere. No executive Orders being followed. Looks likes one set of rules for downtown Annapolis and draconian lock downs everywhere else.

My first time going to the Annapolis City Dock. I really enjoyed looking at all the sail boats and yachts. I never took the time before to visit. Saturday and Sunday morning i recommend. There are places to sit and people walk their dogs. Public restrooms. Restaurants by the water. Plus places to shop. Check out their website for more information. There is a Alex Haley statue. There is a place on the dock where you can have a boat ride.

I liked the dock, it smells but only where the stores are. The dock is not to long, that you feel that you havent done or got to see enough. There are enough restaurants for bar hopping(young adults) with great food, or ice cream parlors for kids and boat tours. For, Older people just sitting in the sun soaking up the scenery with good food also.

Despite the COVID-19 fracas and limited business opening, the City Dock was beautiful and the weather perfect for walking around. Great area for relaxing, pictures, watching the boats, having a meal, or shopping. We came here to sightsee and have a date night. We went to one of the restaurants and then walked to the docks and on Main Street to checkout some stores. There are several local restaurants nearby since you are in historic downtown Annapolis. Several shopping as well nearby. The dock itself has benches to sit on. There are newspaper machines too. Cobblestone walkway creates part of the historic feel but beware you can trip easily since it is not flat/even and some of them are coming up. There are bathrooms and showers for boaters. They have parking but it can be a bit tight – some of it is free while others are metered. It is very beautiful at the docks. We did not partake in getting the famous ice cream nearby (Storm Brothers) since we were still full from dinner but it is a popular place. We hung out a while just looking at the water. Great area for people watching if you are into that. The Naval Academy is nearby as well if you want to visit that but check the times. I would definitely recommend going to the city dock. It is great if you are by yourself, with friends or family, or a date night.
