The Maryland World War 2 Memorial is a great place to walk to remember those that sacrificed fortune, future, and family to stop oppression in the Atlantic and Pacific theater. It helps me remember some of the great industry and medical juggernauts found in this state. Would like more places for quiet refection.

A nice-looking Memorial overlooking the water that recognizes a lot of the contributions that Maryland made to World War II - Including the names of the residents that died in the prosecution of this war. It also gives very interesting background information on the other tangible contributions made by the state and its residents.

Amazing memorial. Such a humbling experience to visit. My husband took me here as a date. I learned so much and gain a new level of respect for my country. When my children get older I plan on taking them. The views are breathtaking as you can see the United States Naval Academy Dome from the memorial.

A beautiful, educational memorial that houses an amphitheater within the center, surrounded by the names of all those lost in WWII both in combat and in ancillary service to include men and women. It carries the same atmosphere as the Vietnam Wall and other War Memorials. It overlooks the Severn River at the bridge leading into USNA and Downtown Annapolis. Flags are flown overhead surrounded by trees and sidewalks that circle to an upper designated parking area. Definitely worth your respect and visit.

The memorial is located at an excellent location , its not more than an hour detour if youre to or from the bay bridge . For one its wonderfully designed , the names on the walls, national and state flag over a tribute to all the pillars of US security and the wonderful Annapolis overlook makes it even more sweet. Its open always and very close to US50 .

I visited the memorial early in the morning. A circular memorial honoring Maryland Veterans. A great surprise for me to see such a great place. Im an amateur artist and was able to have the morning sketching the memorial. I will visit another time. A morning just isnt enough to set and visit. Everyone, at least every Maryland native should visit here. Im a Virginian.

Beautiful location on the north-eastern bank of the Severn River across from Annapolis. Spectacular view of the Naval Academy, Annapolis and beyond. Well designed and crafted memorial to those who served in World War II. Definitely stop when you have a few minutes driving down MD Route 2 across US 50 onto Route 450 into Annapolis, or when leaving Annapolis on MD Route 450 across the Severn River up towards US 50.
