Amazing, friendly and funny staff which made it an awesome experience for everyone including adults. Never a dull moment aboard the pirate ship. Also, all groups are socially distanced so you feel safe being on the boat. Highly recommended!

We took our grandchildren and great grandchildren today.It was the most amazing time. The crew included all the kids in every aspect of the cruise..Everyone was so pleasant and helpful!!!! Even the grownups were impressed. We will hjghly recommend this wonderful experience to everyone!!!

This is the best experience anyone with children could have. The crew is so in tuned with children and how they react and wish to join an adventure. The clues for the Scavenger Hunt are more than exciting for the children!! They want to engage and want to participate in the mystery of where the treasure may be!!! canons./But best of all is the finding and water battle with the bad pirate!!! I can not tell you enough how much fun this is for the children, And how my dear grandson laughed until he cryed with so much fun and laughter as the pirate plunged cockeyed into the water from being destroyed by water Canons. This is the best cruise and best experience for children and families I have experienced in all my 65+ years!!! I not only recommend this wonderful tine, but will say that the experience on the cruise will last a lifetime of memories to come!!!Please dont miss it! It is amazing!

We took our 4 and 5 year old grandchildren on the Pirate Adventure Cruise. When I signed up for the cruise I didnt realize it was an actual scavenger hunt. It was perfect! Our grand kids, especially the 5 year old LOVED it! They are still talking about finding all the clues, defeating Pirate Pete with the water canyons ... Pirate Pete yelling to them Ill get you next time pirate crew, and the excitement of finding the treasure at the end. The kids cant wait to come back to go on another Pirate Adventure

This is a hidden jewel in Annapolis. My son has a diagnosis of Autism and they made him feel so special on our journey. We went for mothers day when they had an incredible deal: all moms were free. We took a boat ride, shot water cannons at bad pirates trying to steal our loot, and then we drank grog (root beer). The children each received a bag of loot to take home. A fun time for all!

We went just a few days ago, I’m so glad I found this treasure. My 3 kids had an awesome experience! Crew was very entertaining, helpful and made all the kids feel special. Staff made it sure all the kids had their chance to participate in their activities. Most of all, staff provided a very safe environment suitable in this time of pandemic. Loved how each family had their own safety zones and ship was disinfected after every trip. Goodie bags even included hand sanitizer. Definitely worth it!

Fantastic time. The entire Sea Gypsy crew did a great job. They keep the kids engaged and are sensitive to each childs needs. A great time for all!

This is not merely a Pirate-themed boat ride. This is a fully-immersive, well-timed and choreographed, professional experience. The staff is very well trained and eager to engage with the children. The captain even plays music during key moments in an emotionally-relevant manner, which makes the experience seem epic. My daughter enjoyed the attention that the staff gave her, the many exciting action sequences, and the treasure box. We as parents loved seeing our daughter having a great time as we toured the Annapolis harbor area on a pirate ship on such a beautiful day. Highly recommended, and worth every penny.

Great for kids. The staff is in character and that makes the experience even better. The adventure is on the water, so some kids may be put off by the rocking ship. They have great interactive adventure with water cannons and costumes. Parents can be involved too for the smaller kids. Recommend! Better for kids under 10.

My husband and I brought our four year old son on this adventure. It was truly a wonderful experience. The smiles never left our faces and our son keeps asking to go back since the moment we left. They made it a fun, interactive ride and were amazing with the kids. Id give more stars if i could.

These pirates know how to do it right. They found the perfect balance of how to keep children and parents happy and engaged. The storyline was super fun. We brought our 2yr and 6 year old and it was perfect for both of them. I highly recommend this adventure!!

Great place and location for a sea-faring kiddy pirate adventure. The children dressed-up (there!) as pirates, learned pirate lingo, and traversed the bay on the pirate ship. The staff is awesome. 5 stars on a nice day. 4 stars for a cold, wet, rainy day.

Amazing time! Kids loved it. They were entertained the entire time and parents could just sit back and relax We plan to do it again soon.Get there early so the kids can dress up and get their faces painted. Also, you will get a good parking spot.

The crew kept our kids engaged every minute of the tour. The excursion started 30 minutes before the actual ship ride with face painting and costume selection. The kids were safely and stealthily boarded. While on the ship our kids found a map which lead to a sunken treasure, a message in a bottle, and shot water cannons at a pirate located in a small boat on the water. Our 8, 10 and 12 year old enjoyed the pirate adventure. I highly recommend it.

Its pretty decent. Naturally geared toward kids. They do offer birthday party packages. The building itself is large. The boat docks on the other side of the parking lot so its a short walk. Parking is very very limited (down side) There is shaded areas on the boat which is great. Every part of the boat is fenced / shielded off for kids protection. I would personally like the music to be a tad louder, I think that would have kept them more engaged. The two man crew on ship did a good job trying to keep the kids entertained.

I work as part of a summer camp and this is, by far, my favorite field trip that we do in the summer! Ive been at least 5 times.The staff is always friendly and patient with my kids. They really do a great job taking you an adventure and the kids always have a great time!!

Must go! Awesome experience for kids and adults. Treasure hunting, fighting pirates, interactive, and fun for kids. Adults get a great show perform by your own kids and a great cruise around the Bay Area. Admission includes costumes for kids, face painting and tattoos for all. Not to mention you get to bring some treasures home for keepsakes.

As a local, we have yet to tire of the fun that Pirate Adventures creates every summer! Our little ones have a wonderful experience every time we visit this business. Well worth the price of admission! We go at least three times a season. Have yet to have anything but a blast!

We had as 5th birthday party and chartered the boat. The crew and the adventure was fantastic. Absolutely recommend this company, it exceeded all expectations.

Pirates! What little kid doesnt love a good pirate adventure? Filled with opportunities to water cannon a scurvy pirate, find hidden treasures, and drink some grog, it would be difficult for any kid to not enjoy the experience. The staff is exceptionally friendly and is great at involving every kid in the experience while inserting enough over-their-head jokes to keep the adults entertained. A harbor tour of Annapolis is a pleasant bonus.

This staff is amazing! They did such a good job keeping the kids entertained and engaged. They also have great safety protocols. The staff are clearly very dedicated to their jobs and stay in character! (The person who plays pirate Pete on the boat the kids get to shoot water cannons at actually fall overboard into the water when defeated) the kids had such a good time finding messages in bottles and treasure! Will defiantly be going back. Can’t say enough good things.

The kids wanted me to write this review and say it’s really good for little kids and they had a lot of fun! From the parent perspective, the staff did a wonderful job of making it fun for the kids and had a lot of energy. My girls are 6 and 9 and I was worried the 9-year-old wouldn’t be into it, but she was engaged the entire time and wanted to do it again. I’m thinking we’ll come back another time and bring the cousins!

I just had my 4yr olds Birthday Party here and it was the best. The staff was really amazing, be ready for everyone you invited to come . The boat ride and activities on the boat the kids loved, the Captain was so on point he remembered all of the kids names.

We hesitated to shell out the money for this adventure, but our kids totally loved it. As adults, we were highly impressed with the creativity of the adventure, and First Mate Smee was truly impressive. Finding the treasure out on the Bay, attacking Pirate Pete, and multiple other elements made it fun-filled and truly memorable.

What a wonderful experience for kids AND the adults who bring them!The fun starts immediately upon arrival, when kids receive a nametag with their pirate name (example: Notorious Nicole, Jump Ship Jacob). From there, they are welcomed into an area where they can select a costume (mermaid tail, tutu, pirates vest, etc) and have their face or hand painted.Just before heading off on the adventure, a crew member states the rules (in a very fun way) and teaches the pirates-in-training essential pirate lingo.The trip itself is so filled with exploring, movement, and excitement that its impossible for anyone--participant or observer--to NOT have a good time.All of that would be enough but what makes this experience even more fantastic is that every single person involved in making the fun happen actually seems HAPPY to be there. Children and adults alike are treated like they matter...and thats a great feeling! You aarrr in for a treat (I just couldnt resist)!

This was such a pleasure. I wouldnt take a kid younger than 4, because theres a lot of action and activity, but my 5yo was in hog heaven. The college kids who run the place are great with children, really funny, really talented, just awesome hosts. I dont wanna give away the surprises of the trip, but its absolutely worth the trip.

Yesterday I took my granddaughters out for their first trip and they had a blast, 100% fun the 6yr old said. A ton of fun for the kids and I cant help but laugh at the antics of the crew. Kids get to wear paste clothing while aboard the ship and get to choose their pirate themed tattoo that washes off. Weve done it twice and there were other kids there the last time that had done it 6 times before. If we vacation in the area again, well surely be doing this again!

Very kid friendly with an adult twist. All crew members were polite and had lots of fun activities for the kids to do, I wont spoil much but the cannons were definitely used. Definitely worth it.

This was a great adventure story, even for adults. We enjoyed and fell into the story telling. We laughed without cease. Don’t miss the restaurant “boatyard” after pirates sailing. It would be fantastic course!

I was so impressed by this operation. Weve been on kids pirate ship rides in two other cities, and Pirate Adventures of the Chesapeake (out of Eastport) is far and away the best for pre-school and elementary school aged kids! The staff is very organized, professional and engaging. The the entire script is the perfect tone for young kids. I had my 3.5 year old son and my 5 year old nephew with me. They both LOVED it and were engaged the entire time. It wasnt scary, and there was no heckling. (When we compare this trip to the pirate ship ride out of Ocean City, Maryland, there is just no comparison. The OC ride was too scary and the staff was too aggressive for our group of pre-schoolers. The kids were in tears by the end of the trip. However, that is a totally different company--no affiliation to this company.) We cant say enough good things about Pirate Adventures on the Chesapeake in Eastport, Annapolis! 5 stars!

If I could give 100 stars I would! My 9 year old Son Liam who is high functioning autistic (the crew was not told this) has wanted to do a Pirate Adventure since he was 5 but we were afraid of a melt down or outbursts while out on the water ruining the experience for others. Liam has been doing so well this year that we decided to give it a try today and it was AMAZING! We live in Middletown, Delaware but chose Pirate Adventures because it was a third of the price of other pirate experiences located in Wilmington, Lewes and Ocean City, MD.I was not disappointed and we had no issues. EVERYTHING was perfect from the minute we arrived this crew dressed in full pirate attire warmly welcomed us and never broke character! We had the pleasure of sailing with Ruby & I believe Rusty? and Meck? who could not have been more entertaining, engaging and hilarious! This crew put so much time, patience, passion, personality and energy into their performance that even the adults had a blast! There is sooo much prep that goes into this adventure and you can tell this crew loves kids and people and enjoy being pirates!Liam was the oldest on the ship today and I feared that maybe he would be too old to enjoy it but everyone on this crew did a great job including him and making sure EVERY kid had fun. I plan on going back in the future with my grandson who will be 3 soon. I would say 4-8 years old is the best age range for this adventure but honestly my husband and myself enjoyed it as much as the kids, I even got teary eyed watching Liam shoot the water cannons because it was sooo great to see him smiling, laughing and participating (these are rare for him).I cannot say enough about this experience! I did read some reviews from two years ago that shocked me because I can tell you our crew, our experience and the price could not be beat! Thank you Ruby and crew for making a childs dream come true and giving a tired ASD Mom lots of reasons to smile and have hope! Keep doing it just like today ️️

Best birthday party experience. We booked it for our 7 year olds party and everyone had a blast including the adults! The crew was super friendly, they greeted us in the parking lot and took everything from my car and set up. The kids were thoroughly entertained the entire time and the crew remained in character. Totally worth it, my church just booked them also, so well be back. Recommended for kids ages 5 to 10.

I had my sons 3rd birthday there and the staff was amazing. His birthday was in April so we had a bit of bad weather. We ended up having to move his party to the following weekend, they were really polite and accommodating. We had over 30 people on the boat and the experience was amazing. I still has kids who were at the party coming up to me saying how much fun they had. Doesnt matter the age everyone will enjoy.

This was the best experience for our family. Our children ranged from ages 4 to 8 (4 kids), and the adults had just as much fun as they did. Captain Rusty, Spike, and the rest of the crew were amazing and entertaining. This is a must do if your in Annapolis if you have children ages 3 and above. Hunt for treasure, battle pirates, and talk and look like a pirate. Cant say enough about out adventure!!!

Took my grandson and his siblings on the Adventure for his 8th birthday. A grand time was had by all! Captn Rusty and Red were wonderful with all of the kids as they hunted for Pirate Pete and treasure. And it was great watching the show, seeing how much the kids enjoyed all the antics.

As the father of a 6 year old, I have probably been to pretty much every type of birthday party one could imagine and I have to say that this was one of the more fun and engaging that I have seen. Probably 5 times more fun than I thought it would be. About a dozen kids had a great time and we all were given a nice ride around Annapolis Spa creek. The 2-man crew on our tour did an outstanding job. They were fully engaged, genuinely funny, and provided great entertainment. I dont know how much our host paid, but the posted prices were $22 for adults and $12 for children. Seemed like a bargain to me.
