This small park is dog friendly (leashed) and offers great sunset views, a few picnic tables, a nice grassy area as well as sand for beach chairs or blankets. During the warmer months you are able to rent kayaks and launch from the beach as well.Parking is very limited particularly on weekends, as people like to picnic and/ or just enjoy the view of the scenic Severn River. Additionally, a large number of people go fishing at this particular area which contributes to the limited parking. But if you can get there at the right time it really is a convenient and fantastic little park!

Super beautiful park that has a path to the old bridge (the leftovers from before the Naval Academy Bridge). The park has a beautiful view of the Severn River between the Navel Academy Bridge and up until the Route 50 bridge. Many people come here to fish and kayak. You can also fish off the portion of the old bridge that they left there. There are public restrooms and a baller wood carved statue of a heron.

A favorite place to start a walk over the Naval Academy bridge and back. Spectacular views of the Academy, Annapolis and the Severn River.

A small park open dawn til dusk with a 24 hour fishing pier and a small visitors center open every day (with exceptions). It is a small park, so if it is really nice outside dont be surprised if the parking lot is full (although there is overflow parking at the WWII Memorial just up the hill).The visitors center is also one of the offices and the headquarters for Anne Arundel County Trails, and the Trails Rangers stop in throughout the day to check up on the place and enforce the rules.The park is typically open for fishing and general recreation. You can picnic pretty much anywhere, but grilling is only allowed near the beach. Open campfires are never allowed. The beach can also be used for car-top boat launch (canoes, kayaks, paddle boards) but trailers are not allowed in the park.Public restrooms are typically open whenever the visitors center is, but if theyre closed there are porta-pots in the parking lot.Swimming is NOT allowed because the Severn River gets very deep and can have a very strong current, and there are no lifeguards. However, wading in up to your knees is typically left alone.Overall a great place for a picnic, fishing, some photos, launching a kayak, or to see a good view of the sunset over the Naval Academy.

What can I tell you about Jonas and Anne Green Park? Great place for anybody who loves being outside. There are benches for those who want to relax and watch the afternoon sunsets over the Severn. There is a small beach area to enjoy feeling the sand at your feet. There is a fishing pier to cast a line or two. For runners (or cyclists) like myself it is great starting point for your challenging weekly runs (rides) over the Naval Academy bridge and into downtown Annapolis. There is a small kayak rental booth though Ive not checked it out YET! The park is managed by MD Park Service Resources and there is a manned facility during normal business hours as well as clean restrooms.

If you havent so far, you need to come here. It is beautiful and Unique. And the best part: There are great fishing spots here. So if you are into fishing try you luck here. Maybe a strong bite will make your day.

The view of Annapolis and Severn River is so very nice. For a small park, it has a lot to offer. But the parking is limited. There are a few picnic tables and there are shade trees. If you can get a parking spot, its worth your time.

Great for 24 hr fishing but a ton of trash everywhere. Me and my family were looking for 24hr fishing location and came across this location. At night you really never knew it was there but when the sun came up there was trash all over the fishing pier. There were no trash cans in sight. Just a complete mess. I would love to come back but not in those conditions.

Small park with a little beach area for fishing and kayak soft launch. Or canoe, rowboat. Lots of parking. Has restrooms in a building in the park. and spot a pot by beach.

Place is filthy. Trash everywhere. People go there just dont care. They would step over plastic bottle the bend over and pick it up and dispose of properly.

At 730a on a Sunday the parking lot is littered with garbage. Grassy areas are trampled into mud. Get there before 8 or you will have a hard time finding parking. This place looked pretty great from pics but in reality its a gross, overrun nightmare.

Usually very crowded. had no idea why. fishing is not good, we went middle August, caught some small spot, none of them was keeper. some people took whatever they caught, really small fish. Please, put them back for next year!

Very beautiful place to take in the sights of Annapolis. Have a picnic with a loved one and stay for the sunset. Downside sometimes is that there are kids unattended playing on rocks, etc.

Small park just outside Annapolis on the Severn River.Im primarily interested in this park for bird watching and photography, but its got good facilities for fishing and picnicking as well.

Its a pretty good place to visit for fishing actually.

Pretty cool viewing on both sides of the bridge from here. Plenty of crabbing and fishing, although I wouldnt consider it a prime location if thats all youre interested in doing.

Citizens of Annapolis Maryland love Jonas green Park because it is a great place for recreation small though but enough that everyone has space. And its a great place to just get mental thought quiet

Really chill spot. Mini beach, and a few nice fishing spots. A really awesome place to bring the entire family, for a cookout and some fishing, or just a nice solo adventure. Great spot to get some really amazing sunrise and/or sunset photos!

Lovely little park with sand or rock edged water. Fisherman love the pier. Its got sunny and shaded spaces with randomly placed picnic tables. Looks like there are kayaks for rent occasionally although Ive never seen it open. To the south is USNA and to the north is the Rt 50 bridge. Theres a nice little area to walk in the sand, or on the other side, fish from the rocks. Its open dawn to dusk. Definitely a great green space for public enjoyment.

Nice quiet park, it is small and somewhat littered but the bridge and overlooks are pretty.

This is a quaint little beach and fishing area right under the Rt.450 Bridge in Annapolis. Weve been coming here for years! its nice to just sit and look at the water, dip your feet, cook out if you like, watch the ducks come right up to you and of course fish. Its one of the only free parks that is on the water.

Free alternative to Sandy Point. Its a small beach and there is sticks and stuff in the sand. But its quiet and rugged.

Wonderful spot to watch the sunset! If you come near the official sunset time, you might be able to catch Retreat being played at the U.S. Naval Academy across the river. (Port-a-potties are available, FYI.)

Not much parking, get there before 10am and you should be okay. Portable Toilets available.

The Jonas Green Park is a nice little get-away spot in the busyness and noise of the surrounding cities. Plenty of benches to sit, great views of the river and Annapolis, and a beach with access to the river. Especially great in the evenings when its less crowded. Although the nearby bridge and cars are a bit annoying, altogether its a good park.

Nice park for a short walk with views of the naval academy and the Severn River. Some people go fishing off the old bridge or from the rocks on the shoreline. No swimming here, but you can bring your canoes or kayaks to launch from this site!Free parking/entrance!Right next door to a waterfront restaurant in case you want to go for a short walk after your fancy dinner.There are some educational signs about history and nature around the park. The Welcome center is now owned by AA County and has pamphlets on recreational activities and parks for children and adults.

Small, local, state park under the bridge with fishing, a place to swim ( sort of), or launch a kayak for the afternoon. No fees, but limited parking, so you may have to wait for others to leave if you arrive in a busy weekend. Great little place to get away for an afternoon across the water from Annapolis.

Nice shady spots....good catch. Bathrooms were locked porta pottys were available.

The only good thing about this place is some of the views. The water is pretty nasty and can have a bad smell.
