This is such a great ride! The theming is amazing; dark rooms with chandeliers, cobwebs everywhere, and it has that haunting feeling with the occasional ghost displaying on the wall. The pre-show for the ride is very entertaining, the elevator is so cool! During the ride, they have an amazing use of the peppers ghost effect, and it looks amazing! Highly recommend!

Hands down my favorite ride in the park. It is never a bad time. From the workers to the theme to the ghosts, it all works so well together. It’s been updated when needed but it still has that touch of creepy that makes it fun. It’s a ride that almost anyone of any age can enjoy.

This has been my favorite ride since I was little. The passion put into this ride makes it even better along with the amazing soundtrack and visuals. I especially love the use of the peppers ghost effect. It was used in the 1800s and it’s really cool! Even though it breaks down every time it’s actually really cool since you can look at all the awesome details the imagineers have put into this ride! ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

Pretty bummed it was closed in February due to some remodeling, but they’ll have it open again soon. Been on the normal ride and the Christmas overlay and I have to say it might be the best classic ride at Disney. The creativity and design that went into this ride is great, basically the opposite of what you see today just trying to get thrills.

I absolutely love the haunted mansion! It’s a dark ride that takes you through the story of an ax murdering widow. I like the elevator at the beginning of the ride. The affect is much more authentic than in Disney World where it’s done just to copy the original Haunted Mansion. This haunted mansion is shorter than the one at Disney World. Some of the areas are walk through instead of buggy ride. But the main portions of the ride are primarily the same between the two parks.

One of Disney’s classic rides. It’s a must experience. The wait outside can be brutal in the heat, they have added some shade umbrellas and that helps a ton. Normal wait times are around 40-1hr. Get a fast pass if you can and enjoy one of the last classics in Disneyland. If you are going around Halloween they change the ride to nightmare before Christmas and they do a real good job of it.

One of my favourite rides in Disneyland! It begins with the elevator that appears to stretch longer as you go down... Im actually not entirely sure its actually an elevator... it might be that the roof is getting higher! Once you enter the mansion, the experience begins and isnt over until you exit the house. The ride is slow but youre spending your time taking it all in! Really a fantastic ride! Shows the Imagineers incredible attention to detail too.

The new theme looks amazing and does so much for the ride. This ride is a classic for me. I have spent many years riding the Haunted Mansion at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World. In November 2019 I visited Disneyland for the first time. Seeing these changes struck a nerve with me at first but I have to admit that it looks amazing. I don’t know if the ride will go back to it’s old look and I honestly don’t care. I think at some point the rides need to be upgraded. I know in Florida the ride had low wait times before the changes were made. You look at the Disney Experience app and you will see that there’s a 75 minute wait for this ride. Maybe upgrading these rides is something Disney needs to consider doing to more of.

The new ghost animatronic is amazing! They do well at getting the line moving on this ride so even on busy days you usually don’t need a fastpass. Doesn’t hurt to snag one though- the wait is all in direct sunlight. I definitely prefer this over the one at World, it’s just more detailed and the stretching room is an actual elevator! Legend has it if you look closely during the end of the dance hall scene, you can still see a damaged piece of glass where someone brought a gun into the park when it first opened and decided to make his mark on the ride.

The Haunted Mansion is my favorite ride in Disney. The Holiday theme however is not as good as its original self. It is very colorful which is a plus but not very haunted. Its whimsical not spooky. Nightmare before Christmas themed. Seeing dinamight in my cart instead of a ghost was just stupid. Not creepy or cool. Disney leave it the original way. Its better that way.

Ive loved the Haunted Mansion since my first trip to Disneyland over 30 years ago. Now, it gives me the feeling of nostalgia more than any other ride. Every second, from the spooky stretching elevator ride to Little Leota asking you to Hurry back! as you exit, is perfection. The attention to detail is insane, and no matter how many times Ive ridden, there is always something new to discover.Im a huge fan of Nightmare Before Christmas, so I was heaven when I finally got to ride Jack Skellingtons takeover of my beloved Mansion. I would never replace the original, but getting to experience two of my favorite things together was truly magical and really did make me feel like a kid again.

So much detail is put into this ride, its more than worth checking out! This is basically the ultimate Halloween Haunted House for families. If the line is long, pay attention to all of the surroundings because there is SO much to see before getting inside the mansion, let alone before the ride even begins! The headstones in the courtyard outside have clever puns on them and tombstones bear the names of the Imagineers who created this attraction. The iconic elevator ride has many pictures that stretch and the hallway after that have many unforgettable pictures that change into a grisly/darker version. (Theres much more, of course.) This ride is worth going on multiple times because there is so much detail, you can easily find something new every time! Plus, if youre a fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas movie, the Haunted Mansion gets a makeover to fit that theme during the Halloween and Christmas seasons every year.

For those of you that want a scary experience, why are you even at the park? This is a true Disney classic that will be fun for the whole family. This is a cannot miss. I have had the ride break down on me before, but it was AWESOME. I got to really pick out the details of what was happening around me. The quality of this ride is amazing when you consider how old it is. You may not want to take very little kids in that spook easily, but this is not meant to be a scary ride. It is more of a funny ride if anything. It has to true Disney Spirit about it.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Best theme park attraction in the world! Mind-blowing special effects + illusions! Top-notch theming! Jaw dropping scope & scale! Amazing narration & music too! Many artistic & cool character designs. Highly “re-rideable”! Lots of hidden references & “Easter Eggs” to look out for!Very mild 1960’s (slow-moving) Dark Ride designed by Marc Davis, Yale Gracey, Rolly Crump, & Claude Coats. While “haunted” is in its name, it keeps everything at a very kid-friendly PG level. Nearly all of the haunts are very welcoming & friendly. There are a couple things to take note of though:A) The ride is very, very dark inside (you are briefly in total darkness at one point).B) The vehicles do move sideways & backwards.C) There are a FEW very, very mild pop-up ghosts (jump-scares) towards the end of the ride in the Graveyard scene...D) The narration, while brilliantly voiced by the great Paul Frees, can be kinda creepy & somewhat disturbing to some...To sum it up, this must-do classic is really no worse (no scarier) than a classic 1970’s or 1980’s episode of “Scooby-Doo!”.
