Pleasantly surprised. Park has a lot going on and plenty of room for kids to run. They have a 15min puppet show that my 2.5yr old loved. I think this place is perfect for kids between 2-4yrs old. Oakland weather is hard to beat and there are some good nearby restaurants (although most you have to drive to).

My Favorite Disneyland ParkThe park is less crowded than the Main California park. This park gives you the feeling somewhat of an old school circus or carnival. Its smaller than the main park and it really gives a quaint vibe. Make sure you go on the old street car to get a feel of the park and where everything is located and itll give your legs a chance to rest. The Tower of Terror is now Guardians of the Galaxy but, its still the same ride. Inside the Animation Academy theres the Beasts library from Beauty and the Beast; which is so animated just like the movie scene youll think youre in it! But, before you enter the library youll be directed through the Sorcerers Workshop; which all is perfectly arranged. And, if youre a rollercoaster connoisseur youre going to like the Incredicoaster. The restaurant Trattoria is all microwaved food, everything; except the salad. White Water Snacks had some decent food choices but remember the prices are high and the quality of any of the foods are mediocre. Right when you get in the park youll see a store that makes Mickey Mouse bread loafs. Check out all the photos I posted. If you travel to our California Parks in the winter months make sure you bring warm clothing because when the sun goes down youll need it.

I’d give it 5 but it is so over priced and the wait times are sooo ridiculous. And the fast pass is hit and miss. I’ll quote a fellow reviewer because she hit it on the head. As long as you keep perspective, it really can be the happiest place on Earth! The only downside is the cost. I am so sad that Disney has become exclusive and not inclusive economically speaking. The best discount that you can find is typically around $10 off. Today, the one day single park peak days ticket costs $149 for people 10 years and older!!! That is so sad for families who may need a little Disney magic, but are not well off. The food is typically priced for amusement park food but Disney has better quality. You can bring it backpacks and your own snacks of on a budget. I would also recommend purchasing the $15 max pass. It includes professional pictures for download and it really does save time and gets you in some of the bigger rides during the day. “Tara walker”.

Disney California Adventure is a fun place for all ages. I really like the new changes to Paradise Pier. Make sure to download the Disneyland app before you go so you can familiarise yourself with the layout and workout where you want to go first. The app has everything you need to know in real time. You can see where the characters are, how long the lines are on rides and where to eat. You can even see exactly where the restrooms are, which is super handy.

This was my first time here, though Ive been going to Disneyland for 25 years now. It was pretty amazing. A lot better then I expected and much bigger. When I was a kid this was a giant parking lot. This is quite a bit different then Disneyland, but in a good way. Themed with Pixar and Marvel, its a ton of fun to explore, especially if you have kids that have grown up watching both.I recommend taking a few days if you intend to spend time at both parks. The lines are really long, but the fast pass system helps. Word of advice: get there early and immediately grab a fast pass for the most popular attraction. Even doing that, you might not get in for a few hours.Take sunblock and some spending money, because the sun is hot and prices high. Otherwise its epic. Enjoy!

There’s more to do at Disneyland Park, so plan to spend your longer day there. A few rides create long lines fast, so it’s worth it to check wait times on the Disney app. We didn’t need a park hopper here because one day at each park was enough. We’ve been to Orlando many times and the park hopper was more useful there. We’ve also been to Paris Disney and found the castle and atmosphere there to be more “magical.” Prepare for the usual over-priced food and beverages and shiny trinkets that appeal to little ones but are usually just junk.

Lots of my teen and childhood has changed. Some good, but all that exciting to be honest. Lines are still as bad if not worst. Which is weird since the line corrals are half empty (Sunday). I dont like if you are in the new cars ride line and in the middle, there are no exits. I had to use the bathroom due to the wait time for the standby line continued to extended and I had to maze through people just to go. The Haunted Mansion ride also kept breaking down, 2-3 hrs. When we finally got inside, it glitched again and we had to wait. Mind you this is the first time I became a pass holder. 4 rides total between the 2 parks in one day is kind of lame. I regret getting the pass.

This was a great place to go. The rides were so fun and since it was the off season the lines were fairly short. We were able to ride everything we wanted to with lots of time to spare. We were able to take the shuttle from the hotel to the front gates so we didnt have to worry about parking. Since it was Halloween Time there was a lot of great decorations and special Halloween treats. Well worth the price and would definitely go again.

Excellent park to compliment Disneyland with amazing rides for both adults and kids. Toy Story is one of our favorite rides of all time and able to get in and ride many times in the morning with a short wait. Cars is a great ride too but wait can get long so best to fast pass where possible. Soaring is amazing and the newer guardians of the Galaxy ride is great. Plenty of other great kids rides to to explore. Eaten at Flos several times in Cars Land and has great food for breakfast and lunch/dinner. Probably good to get the park hopper as making a full day here may be more difficult with less rides than Disneyland. When the lines get long, going to Red Creek Challenge is great as a huge playground for the kids to run through(pics attached). Overall love this park.

This 72-acre park is themed after the history and culture of California, which celebrates the fun and adventure of the state through the use of various Disney, Pixar and Marvel properties. The pudding is the eating!! I mean, whats not to love about this park? Yes, the ticket prices are a little steep, but totally worth it! And yes, its always crowded, because its amazing! My advice, make a daily plan, pay for the max pass, and seriously, calm down, youre in Disneyland! We usually spend more time in this park than Disneyland because it has my daughters favorite ride, Ariels Undersea Adventure. Plus having a place like Cocina Cucamonga doesnt hurt either. I was a little disappointed this last time that Bugs Land is no more, but they still have quite a bit of stuff for the younger kiddos to do. I definitely recommend splurging for the viewing packages for any of the parades, totally worth the $$. Plus the Frozen lunch package is pretty legit. Front row seats to Frozen at the Hyperion? My daughter was mesmerized by the entire play, especially when Elsa and Anna pointed to her and smiled...worth the cost of admission right there! The Festival of Holidays is something you have to see! Amazing food, amazing decorations, amazing parades and shows!

Always fun times when we are here. Must get a fast pass for Radiator Springs as soon as you get there. They go by fast and the line for the ride is always a 60+ minute waitnor.linger on the weekend. The food in California Adventure is better than the food.at Disneyland. They also server beer and michiladas throughout the park but be prepared to pay about $10 a beer. There is always something new going on inside the park so keep an eye out.

Such a great place to visit and a can’t miss when you go to Disney. The incredible rollercoaster is always a hit. The even show is so fun to watch and ice cream carts around the park are in the perfect place. With a little different spin than Disney it’s a fun place to spend the day. The park is a little smaller so takes less time to cover and it’s the only place to visit Elsa and Anna. Lots of fun for the kids to have while they wait to meet Elsa and Anna. Mickey and Mini are always hanging around too which is fun for the littles.

Better rides than Magic Kingdom, but there arent that many rides, the lines are really, really long, and the rides break down often. Fast passes for top rides sell out around noon. Disneys new max pass forces you to spend more per day to keep up with the Jones or spend more time getting passes manually. Disney = nickel and dime factory, except more like 50s and 100s.

California Adventure is a great addition to Disneyland! I am very fond of Pixar (as are most kids now growing up on their films). The “Incredicoaster” and Cars ride are winners! (and I like the Cars movies the least!). Generally been a big fan of online crowd trackers to try to determine when the best time to go and visit California Adventure is. And talking to most of the Disney cast, the park is going to be pretty busy at all times now as more and more people start to use the online tracker stuff. My best advice is to just try to fit it into your schedule but we have noticed that anytime in the summer for folks that live outside of California is almost a complete waste of time, as far as wait lines go. February and March tend to be the best months to visit as far as crowds going our opinion

My first trip to Disneys California Adventures, and it was terrible Incredible! Going early made sure there was time to go on all of my favorite rides multiple times. My top two favorite were the Incredicoaster and the Radiator Springs rides. Using the single rider for the Incredicoaster allowed for me to go 5 times in one day.Grizzly river run was also fun, but it wasnt a warm day. However because of the weather we were able to board the ride quickly multiple times. The free locker use definitely was life saver. My favorite of all parts of the park though was Pixar Pier. It was great to see all of the characters that I grew up with. This was a visit worth the 33 year wait.

Dear security management. What an atrocious experience we had as we were riding our bikes on the public sidewalk taking photos of the environment, this man standing there facing the main road told us to keep moving telling us that there was no reason why we should stop there on a public sidewalk. Completely disappointed with his behavior giving us a threatening tone telling us that we were on private property when we were clearly on a public path. This was intimidation for no apparent reason. This goes directly to security management. Please train your employees to do their job and not intimidate bystanders trying to enjoy their day especially during this stressful time in the pandemic. Have more compassion towards the public especially when you have no business speaking to anyone this way.

Its definitely a place you need to arrive early. Even with the fast pass feature, youll want to plan ahead as some rides run out quickly of passes. Weekends are always busy, so expect to only ride the kids rides or one popular coaster. Shows are on all day, so theres always something see or do. I recommend using the Disney app, as it will help you plan your day and let you know if its too late for an attraction. You can also order your food in advance so you dont have to make line. A fun 1/2 to 3/4 day here. There are fewer rides and far less shade than in its sister park across the way; but still a fun time if you want a break from the crowd crush of Disney proper. The new Incredicoaster is a fun time, but the real star is the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride! The music and randomized drop patterns make for a scream worthy time; we road it 4 times in a row amd never had the same experience twice! The Cars themed area was noticably more crowded, given its popularity with toddlers and elementary aged kids this wasnt a huge surprise. The Cars ride tickets are a limited number per day and get snatched up in under an hour of the park opening, so act fast if you want a chance to ride.We also paid for the Disney photo-pass for both parks; an excellent investment to be sure you get some quality pics without having to haul a camera or constantly bring out the selfie cam.
