Downtown Akron’s temporary tourist attraction is right in front of Lock 3 park (hence the name Lock Next), featuring its own “Lock Next Monster” of sorts which is made out of scraps of tires in reference to the city’s history with the rubber tire industry. It’s a place to hang out, enjoy a snack and take a break in the heart of Main Street (the sidewalks and roadway of which is beginning a massive face lift process of its own).
