Always a great place to visit. The trails are beautiful and well maintained. Very important, this park has real flushing bathrooms that are OPEN! If you have hikers that demand real facilities or young kids this is a big deal!! We always enjoy the beautiful herb gardens and ponds as well. Definitely a beautiful park.

If youre going to come here, I recommend coming late to really see what they have to offer! The night hikes are great, and the hundreds of tree frogs are mesmerizing! Theres a lot of great studying, reading, drawing, or whatever kind of hobby you like areas! I love coming here to draw. The baby bunnies and deer are so cute, and its a good place to teach kids that nature doesnt have to be scary! I havent personally been in the nature center, but it seems cool! Theres so called chickadee feeding, but I havent done it. Overall, a great place.

This one of Akron and Summit Countys greatest hidden gems. If you ever drive in or around the city, you would probably have no idea something like this exists here. The Nature Realm is just an absolutely beautiful place. You can immerse yourself in nature while getting plenty of exercise. Or you could even sit down and read and just listen to the serene sounds of the wildlife, or even have a picnic in the designated areas. When the visitors center is open, there are plenty of educational exhibits to view. Its a great educational experience for children as well. But all in all, its just a fantastic place to unwind. And its free to boot!

Amazing park!Large. Wonderful break from the hustle and bustle of modernity. I went earlier in the day and the coolness was still in the valley. Did not pay adequate attention to the direction of travel and it was exciting to feel lost in an area I grew up in!Loved it!!

I wouldve liked it more if COVID didnt shut down the visitors center or if the heat and lack of rain didnt lead to a massive algae bloom but, the trails are well kept and clean and there were scenic areas overlooking the sickly green algae pond and a nice herb garden too.Not out this way much but would like to take the kids here sometime

The Seiberling Nature Realm is the very best park destination in Akron! Convenient, beautiful and very safe! Please dont miss this flawless gem. Trails are clearly marked. Follow the Cherry Trail down to a hidden suspension bridge tucked away in a magnificent section of Akrons most stunning landscape! Breathtaking ️This is why I love Akron!!

A great place for hiking or looking at flowers/herbs. Beautiful landscaping in the gardens, as well. The trails are easy to follow and are marked with their difficulty. The hiking trails are long and really give you a work out, if you take the harder ones. Following the downloadable map off the website it easy, too.

Such a beautiful place to be any time of year, but its definitely better when everything is bloomed. The wildlife is amazing, and the gardens are even better. I also found the greenhouse made of plastic bottles such a great way to grow things with use of garbage that would take way too long to disintegrate in a landfill. Just be careful if its a hot day and bring plenty of water for the trails, because you can easily get dehydrated with the amount of sun exposure the area gets.

The Nature Realm is a nice place for some casual short walks. It also connects into sand run for a longer hike which I did not know until this last time going. Its very beautiful. Unfortunately you cannot bring dogs which is a downer if you wanna walk your pup but can be great for those who dont wanna worry about animals coming up to them to sniff. The chipmunks and squirrels are pretty bold and wont run away even being 2 feet away. Most trails are stroller/wheelchair friendly. There are also several gravel trails which mark the more lengthy hikes. If you are interested, there is also plenty of pokestops and gyms throughout the park. Its a pretty common place in the area to go for community days.

THIS is the place for your moment of Zen. This park (founded in 1964) is just outside and much older than the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I would encourage to visit their website for childrens related activities. For me, the park offers a relaxing among within the trees and shrubs on -- for the most part -- paved walkways. Many of the trees and plants are labeled with shiny metal tags. So, you dont have to ask, Wonder what that is?While there are plenty of benches to rest your backside upon along the pathways, you can see a lot in the building as well. My favorite is a lounge that looks to the outside looking over a bunch of bird-feeders. On a cold, windy, or rainy day, this is a fine place to relax to watch the local birds as well as those passing through. There are some other learning exhibits in addition to a small gift shop. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about all that you might see.So, bad or beautiful weather, this place offers refuge from our crazy man-made world. If you cant relax and enjoy nature here ... you probably need to seek professional help!!! (but try going here first!)

This place has a free mini museum featuring local history and creatures. Theres a cute nature gift store. They also have workshops, displays and viewing areas for artists, photographers, birdwatchers, etc. The volunteers who do the hiking shield attachment programs are great. We love the gardens nearby with the plants all labeled for easy identification. We even listened to a live concert in the park, which was pleasant.

Come feed the Chickadees!! Bring black oil sunflower seeds, walk on the beginning part of the trail, youll hear the Chickadees in the shrubs and trees. Put seeds in your hand, hold out your hand and stand very still. The Chickadees fly onto your hand and take the seeds. Sometimes a Tufted Titmouse will come and one time a male cardinal actually landed on my hand! Its one of the most amazing things to me. Then we explored the Medicinal, Kitchen and Art & Craft garden. I saw flowers Ive never seen before. We hiked the paths and had such a wonderful couple of hours. Inside theres more, much more! Bring your family and spend the afternoon, you wont regret it.

One of my favorite summit metro parks. The park itself is small but that makes it perfect for younger children or people who arent able to get around easily. There is a beautiful suspended bridge that Ive been going to since I was a kid. There is an outdoor deck off the back of the visitor center that looks out over a pond. There are several trails that are only a mile or less. The visitor center is really nice and they even have a little gift shop with nature themed gifts. Not the best park for running (too small) but for walking or just taking in nature I highly recommend.

I have all good things to say about this place. Its really good for families, especially with young children because the visitor center has some hands-on play opportunities and learning experiences. And the indoor section holds my favorite part - a place to sit and bird watch where you will see all kinds of birds and small rodents (maybe even a raccoon, cat, or deer!). The trails have varying levels of accessibility. There is about a half mile long trail that is paved and very easy as well as dirt trails that take you to various ponds and a suspension bridge.
