This is definitely a cute hidden oasis. We had a great time walking around the grounds. It was simple and not a whole lot going on which is what we liked about it. Especially as the leaves were starting to change.

Very nice escape during pandemic times. Paved and wooded paths, butterfly garden, not too busy. Nature center not open now, but its a plus when its open. I think there should be events to raise money for the mansion, or open it as a restaurant/ event space. Lots of potential

Beautiful park..I look forward to visiting when the house or nature center is open. It looks like it needs some ground maintenance done. Trees down and grass needs to be trimmed especially in Butterfly Garden.

It was a pretty but desolate park. We did see a deer but we were also attacked by birds while walking on the paved trail. It was cool until the birds incident. Some cool stone structures there and also looks like an old plantation house is there also. It was closed when we visited im not sure if it is abandoned or part of the park but it was cool to look at. There are some picnic tables there and many benches to enjoy the silence and nature

Great place to take a walk, relax, & to enjoy nature. Its so peaceful here. We were here on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon & barely anybody here. The mansion is beautiful, unfortunately it is not open for public. The views are spectacular! There is a nature center & butterfly garden inside. The nature center isnt open daily but you can always use the ground daily from dawn to dusk all year long. Admission is free & it is located minutes away from the Saw Mill Parkway. If you want to get away from the busy city life or if you love to enjoy nature, this place is definitely worth visiting. Its only about half an hour to 45 minutes drive from Manhattan.

Ive always liked coming to Lenore and visiting the butterfly garden, but unfortunately it looks like they are under construction and the garden is not there. Hopefully, in a couple of months they will be finished.Great for bird watching and for leisurely strolls on the paved path. If you bring your dog, please keep him on a leash.

A quiet and beautiful nature preserve 10 minutes outside the city. They have summer camps and even a preschool. Our kids counted butterflies and birds and had lots of fun.

Lovely place to enjoy nature which connects to the Old Croton Aqueduct. You will see deer, wild turkeys, and the occasional large rodent. It is unfortunate that a few bad apples ruin it for the rest of us. This is clearly a leashed dog only park. However, Ive seen people with reactive or aggressive dogs off leash here like its some kind of dog park. Ive also witnessed a loose dog chasing deer through the forest. My LEASHED dog and I have been accosted on numerous occasion by loose dogs. Seriously, this is a nature PRESERVE! Respect where you are.

Were went in the winter so the grounds were fine for a walk but some of the attractions like the butterfly garden are dormant at this time of year. Nonetheless the grounds offer a nice view of the Hudson river with the trees bare of leaves.
