Great fishing spot... Catch release please people... Thank you
Love my towns hidden gem
Is it a beach or a lake? I do not know who would go swimming in this lake I know way too many things about it.
One of the nicest places in Wilmington. They have beaches for the swimmers. A playground for the kids, and a dock for fishing along with a nice park.
Man made beach (!) . Its actually a nice and beautiful lake. The shore made like beach. There is a park for kids With slide, swing and tunnels . You can Swim , take sun bath with family in The beach. Be aware no guard there. Enough parking. Both entry and parking is free.Place to visit during weekend and in summer with family to relax if you are near by. For tourist coming from Phoenix then yes you may enjoy lot :)
We went in early spring. It was quiet, well maintained and clean. The beach wasnt open yet, too early in the season. I did notice no trash can, not sure if this was because it was off season.
Clear water!!
Nice experience. My little girl liked the playground equipment. Its a good place for children.
I have lived here my whole life, this lake has 3 natural springs, so it is constantly being cleaned. It is as deep as 24 feet in some places, great fishing, and a place to swim
Very nice, the beach is clean , a great day into warm water. If you forgot your books, there is a basket full of books to borrow a nice play ground for kids and the life guards are attentive. There are kayaks for rent at certain hours too.
This is a well kept Beach and a great place for the family that has been around for YEARS, The only reason I hold would back is that after all this time it could use some updates, some tables and whatnot to create a more complete environment. But its a great simple place to swim with a nice park and a heartfelt dedication. My 2 year old daughter loves going here!!!
Nice and quiet lake beach with enough parking and a small play area! Pretty close to the town and facilities (gas, groceries, coffee) etc and is really clean. The beach area is very clean as well and they also have fishing area!
I didnt actually go here. I just pulled over in the parking lot to water time waiting for a friend, but it was honestly the best beach Ive ever not visited. I mean its a lake and not the ocean, so youve got to temper expectations a bit automatically, but still its really nice. There is water and sand and occasionally sea gulls and often Canadian geese. There are also really tiny waves hitting the shore. Its possible this place is really popular for the four inch tall surfing crowd. Dunno for sure.
A great place for little kids. The water is quite shallow and there are always lots of other families around to play with. The playground is also perfect for little ones. I do wish that there was a resident badge that people could present. This would help when my children are with a grandparent or other caregiver. Unless my husband or I am with them, they cant really go to the lake in the summer time.
Went in the wrong time, so couldnt stay long, though kids played in the water for a while. Will try to go sometime in a very warm weather.
I was hopping to get my kid there becouse is a playground but to enter if you are not a resident is 10$ per person. Not happy at all
I saw a dead fish
Ive been going here since the 80s its a great little beach for the family.
Great for Fishing!! Alot of fish
Quiet lunch over looking the beach. Very clean!!
Beautiful place!
Silver Lake is happy memories with family & friends
Nicer than I thought, seems like a nice place to take a dip and cool off on hot days. Wish they had concessions.
Great place to take your kids
It was nice for kids had fish dock swimming area and play ground
Its definitely nice, quite, & clean. Downside no grills, no floating devices allowed, no alcohol, no swimming in deep. This is a perfect place for the kids under like 12
Great place to relax with family.
Awesome for the little kids and especially love that the parks dedicated to Sean Collier.. thats awesome
Great peaceful place to visit especially living at Tewksbury. There is a fishing dock and a playground in a little beach as well.
Beautiful! Town dept. Takes good care!
Good when its free but $10 each person which sucks.
Its kinda sad, but definitely family friendly
Nice little town beach. Need a pass during the summer but after Labor day the gate is open.
LOVE SILVER LAKE & SILVER LAKE BEACH HAVE BEEN GOING THERE MY WHOLE LIFE
Pretty pond but you cant walk around the pond. It would be nice for a picnic.
Local, clean . . family friendly fun!
Resident only otherwise you have to pay, nice little beach also has kayak rentals, free parking. Open June through August.
Very nice beach, no life guards now so free
Still looks exactly the same as when I swam in it 55 years ago. Good memories
