Best park in Wilmington hands down! The playground is huge and my kids love to go here. The best part is the splash pad they have there. They have a basketball court and baseball field that are both well maintained. There is a well paved path that goes around the park that is great for exercise. There is also plenty of space to have parties and gatherings at the shelter areas. Great park for the family!

Concrete walkways. Turtles and ducks seems to either gone to sleep or they no longer fit to the small pond. Nice, clean, and pleasing to eye. Wish the walk area maintained its own natural environment. It would make you hiking in the middle of town.

Just started going for jogs here, so far its been great. The outer track is measured if youre looking to track distance. It has multiple parking lots around the park, a pond with a bridge, a workout area with pullup bars, tennis courts, baseball field, waterpark, and more. The scenery definitely motivates me to come back!

My kids, husband and I love this park! There’s such a great variety of play equipment and plenty of space for everyone to run off some energy! The park is well kept, not an abundance of litter with tons of places to dispose of trash. There are bathrooms available on site, which is important for a young family! I’ve seen and used a couple of the several available picnic tables, perfect for a picnic. When we’ve had someone to watch our kids, my husband and I have also went for a walk on the great walking path through the park. We could take our kids for a stroll too, but they’re more interested in the playground!

An easy phone call to New Hanover Parks and a large picnic shelter was reserved, at a very reasonable rate! Interacted with 2 park employees, both were awesome and in good spirits despite working on the forth of July. If the C-19 hadnt impacted, we would have had the splash pad for the kids to play in...the only negative for the review, and not the countys fault.

In town transporting a pup to his foster family there in Wilmington. Decently sized. Areas for parents to sit and relax. The sandy ground makes clean up easy. Everyone does a good job of policing their pups. Very little drama, as drama at dog parks can go. Sharing pictures of the Gold Star Mothers Memorial placed in Hugh MacRae Park; A remembrance of all sons and daughters who died in combat or military conflict; Mothers give up their children, most often under age 20, to serve their country and many never come home since wars began. May we never forget these young men and women whose bravery and courage are beyond measure, badge or medal; yet we must embrace the Mothers who suffer in silence--give them a hug of comfort and peace. The ceremony presented here, reflects recognition to these local Mothers and the Honor Guard for their unwavering dedication and participation during the recent display of the traveling Vietnam War Memorial Wall at Mayfaire, Wilmington; this 24 hour open display had many volunteers from these groups and others to assist the public and our veterans during their solemn visit to the VN Wall in memory of lost relatives and friends who served this nation. We will never forget. Please help protect these monuments of history in recognizing our fallen heroes (the traveling wall is not pictured here).
