Great fun but its not worth the high cost frankly. Even on slow days, theres a lengthy wait between races, which may be due to inefficient operating practices. The staff start and stop races quite frequently, and are not accommodating to small groups of customers.

Theres a reason you sign a waiver. A bit of whip lash for me and a crazy bruise for my husband because I may have accidently t-boned him. The race itself was great, the food was alright certainly not worth the money spent. the pizza was given to us half baked, had to send it back to be recooked. And lastly, I had no issues with anyone else- except the one staff lady who rudely made a comment about how I, ordered so much food. We ordered 2 hot dogs, and some nachos for my husband and I while we waited for the rest of our party. And a full pepperoni pizza to share and I ordered everyones beverages. A grand total of six. Only reason I heard about it was because she made the comment infront of other patrons- one of which was my younger sister who had just arrived.Spent a grand total of about $110.-2 memberships and 1 race each (60$)-all the food and beverages (50$)As much fun as the racing was its not very likely well return on the sole reason of, I hate that staff worker.

Track is much to small. Anything more than 7/8 cars and the race will be interrupted constantly due to spin outs in tight corners; of which there are quite a few. Races also were interrupted quite a bit due to kart malfunctions. Hard to get clean laps in and enjoy a good 3 to 4 minute race.Has potential if they merge the tracks. Otherwise seek alternatives.

I came here with my family and had a great time! The staff was friendly and the track managers ran the races very well. If you prove that you can handle a car (its not bumper cars), and beat certain lap times, they raise the speed at which youre allowed to drive.I raced in 3 different cars, and some were definitely in better condition than others. My final car had almost no brakes, for example. Its not a cheap way to spend your time compared to a movie or restaurant, but its definitely memorable. We all har adrenaline in our systems when we left!

I went to K1 this Weekend. They DO NOT clean the helmets in between users, but we didn’t realize until after they were on as we saw others put them back and new people taking them without being washed in between. They DO NOT wipe the cars off in between racers and the workers let some racers do what they want.We were put into a race with 4 men that wreaked havoc on the course. Their cars were at the max level and they continuously smashed into myself and my date. I woke up this morning with pretty bad neck pain. I understand bumping Is going to happen, but to let them hit people at the speeds they were going continuously? Shame on them. I’d never go back here.

They charge you $5 per person to sign up for races on top of the actual cost of the race which was a bit weird, however the expierence after that was a blast! Good experience, they have 2 tracks but 1 is for junior drivers so technically they have 1 track for grown ups. They do have membership fee of 7dollars/year which is mandatory if you want to race. There starting package is 39.99 for 2 race and you pay less as you buy 5, 8 or 10 race package which is a good deal as they all include membership fee in it.They do control the speed if you are a 1st timer and you need to tell the staff not to control it after that or else you wont enjoy it at all.I understand for 1st race the speed control but other go karting do give you trial laps just to get familiar with the track which is the only drawback.Overall good experience would recommend it.

This place is an amazing example of inefficiency. There is no communication whatsoever about when you will be able to drive. We were there for close to 4 hours in order to drive 2 races. During that time, there was no communication about when we were scheduled to run - the only option was to wait for an announcement. No assigned time, no text messages, no display board, nothing. There were extended periods where there were no karts at all on the track. At other times, there were no-shows leaving races to run with only a few cars because, apparently, the scheduling system is very rigid and cannot bump people up if there is open space in a race. At one point, people sat for over a half an hour strapped into the karts going nowhere in the loading lane. On top of that, toward the end of the afternoon, karts started breaking down. K1 gets the second star for giving one of us a re-race due to a dead kart, but we had to wait a half an hour more to slot that single into another race. One member of our group was an engineer, and she was openly frustrated about the lack of communication and efficiency in the design of the queuing. Shes confident they could move twice as many people through with a lot greater satisfaction if they put some thought into it. The karts were okay, the prices were typical, but the overall experience was lacking. Weve been other karting places that seem to have themselves more organized.

I used to really enjoy these. However the last two times I was there kids were allowed to aggressively ram people. My wife sprained her knee and may have ligament damage from the impact. I told the people at the counter about the incident and they thanked me for bringing it to their attention. I asked why i needed to bring it to their attention and not the employee watching it happen. Lots of fun, but not worth knee injuries. Especially when the culture at present is letting 10 year olds fly around at 40mph and play bumpercars.

This go kart track was the most disappointing place I could have taken my son for his birthday. The staff was lost. They didnt give him his free ride because his birthday was tomorrow, even after explaining to the manager I was in the military and had duty tomorrow. They didnt even give a military discount as advertised. Each race averaged 1 cart breaking and stopped the racers. This caused the races to be all messed up and didnt even allow for the full laps. It took 5 hours to race 2 races. Additionally the place was a mess and the bathrooms were disgusting...ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT corporate better fix this place.

If you have helmet, bring it because the rentals stinks. They also have this scoring system that is kinda nice. Ive been trying to go to the drifting day but never got lucky. I think the business structure needs to be evaluated. You can’t walk in and pay for a race at a later time, because they don’t “take reservations”. A reservation by definition DOESNT BRING IN REVENUE, unlike a prepaid race. Also, you can’t book a party same day for an open party slot, also doesn’t sound like a great business decision.

At 5:30 we completed our first lap. Now were waiting for our 2nd lap. (Its 6:30 BTW) They need a faster pit crew. The guys working the track are like snails. Moseying around like I have more time to sit around this place waiting. Unfortunately, they are understaffed and the staff they do have is undertrained. Its absurd and we will never return. Was fun a fun place, but I was definitely disappointed. I got a discount through work, so decided to try with a couple friends. We were so excited to check it out, it looked awesome online. Well was a little misleading. First, its a lot smaller than it seems, I mean much smaller. They have 2 tracks, they really should just have one. The whole track is just tight turns, no chance to really pick up some speed and race. They cram a lot of riders on the little track too so there were a lot of bumping or having to slow down because they are moving too slow.*THIS IS THE WORST PART, SO YOURE WARNED.The staff control your speed by remote control? So annoying!!! You start off very slow, then after 4-5 laps pick up speed. Then maybe for just 1 laps they dont restrict the speed. What a waste, people pay a lot of money to enjoy their experience and they dont let you have as much fun as you could. On out 2 race the employee kept switching every other lap randomly from slow to fast, it made 2 of us actually nauseous. We were done with that place after that, I paid for 3 races and left after 2. I paid at a discount, I couldnt imagine paying their full prices, I feel bad that people have had to pay that. $22 for 1 race around a tiny track, where they slow you down constantly. Im looking forward to try to find somewhere else that will be bigger. Save you money people unless youre taking kids then it might be good.

This place has the potential to be a lot of fun but I left feeling cheated. You pay good money to race and have fun and they intentionally limit the fun. And it was actually a lot of fun until our race operator remotely limited my car speed. He gave me a warning sign to make sure I didnt use the brake and gas at the same time to prevent a spin out and I was appreciative of the advice. However, the very next lap he used his remote control to limit my speed. I did not spin out at all in the race. There was no reason for him to ruin my experience. Many people learn by doing and adjusting. If you like to learn by pushing the limits to see where the edge is, then this is not the place for you. If you like to learn like a preschooler, then you might have fun here. X1 was 100 times better in this regard.

I went here on December 20th with a group of friends to do two races and found myself disappointed at how much power the staff here have in enforcing safety.Onboarding was ok; simple rules review on a plastic card and was straight forward, but might not be enough for the average Joe.Our first run was great and for the most part, was great with flag-use and spacing people out to ensure enough space was given for qualifying runs.Second run was terrible. A person had joined us and did not only disrespect the blue flag rules, but also crashed into people at almost every corner on purpose. It is not only unfair in regard to being unable to set lap times, but also unsafe and negligent as it increased the likelihood of someone getting injured! Even with all of the protections, any contact has a chance for karts to go on top of each other. My friend and I immediately pulled to the side to talk to staff, but they informed us they cannot throw someone out of the race without the manager witnessing it, but did their best in terms of trying to space him away from others and gave him a warning for his behavior. I understand why they would need a manager to see that, but at the same time, it increases the likelihood for this kind of risky behavior and I think that the staff should be trusted to make good judgement calls for this kind of environment.I was hoping cases like the most viewed YouTube result for this place, K1 Speed Wilmington - Idiot Driver (Language), was an isolated incident, but it seems that the staff here cannot keep this behavior away from this place years later and their no GoPro policy might reinforce the fact they dont want more videos like this (though I can see them citing driver safety for this as well).Shame that I had to buy an annual membership for this place as I do not foresee myself going here again, but I hope this feedback can help this location improve going forward.

I wish I could say I had a great experience but I didnt and I am very disappointed with the lack of customer service today. I booked a 10th birthday party for 3pm for my son a few weeks ago and also paid a non refundable deposit . I arrived there at about 2:35 with a cake and balloons to set up the party room. I was at the front counter for about 15 mins before any one even acknowledged my presence. One employee finally noticed me and said he would be able to help me in a minute. Another 10 minutes or so went by and several other customers came in and were assisted at the counter. Thats when I finally spoke up and asked the woman at the register if anyone was goin to help me. She told me that I booked the party room for 4pm and we wouldnt be able to go in there until that time. I asked her where to put the cake in the meantime and she didnt have an answer for me. Another employee overheard me talking so he went to check on the party room to see if it was available. It was and finally I was able to set up the room. After my whole party we played in the arcade until it was time to race and the card reader on the token machine was broken and there was no ATM in the bulding. Also the arcade isnt included in the party package and you have to pay out of pocket for the games. So we were waiting almost an hour before our race was supposed to start. My sister went to speak to an employee about the excessive wait time. The cashier then told us that waiver froms needed to be filled out but when we first arrived all they said was for us to fill out waiver forms on the computer which we all did. After the race the Manager came over to talk to me about the food package. When I booked the party online I was told that the food comes from a local pizza shop and I added fries on with the pizza which was inaccurate. He told me that they make the pizza in the building and they dont serve french fries there so I was really disappointed because I know the kids love fries. There was no host for the party room and we had to do everything ourselves. For the amount of money they charge for the birthday parties there should be way more customer service involved. Im highly disappointed and just expected more for this party. What I do know going forward is that we will not be returning to this establishment.

We watched other groups, presumably regulars, who clearly didnt have the same restrictions. Our finals” was 16 laps going around never having a reason to let off the accelerator. No need for any real driving. A very expensive way to get the same experience as any other $5 gokart ride. I was really expecting a better driving experience involving some skill or finesse. Pay attention to all the other reviews with similar complaints and try somewhere else.

I love Karting, its always been a great time with friends or family. The Electric Karts are AWESOME! Torque in them are way more responsive than gas powered and they move pretty quick...but on that note of being quick, why did a group of 3 guys karts go faster than ANYONE elses on the track right after the first lap, and the rest of us 6-7 got our karts finally boosted to full speed on lap 8 of 10 (I still have emails of average lap times and the same 3 people blew everyone else out of the water)? They were the least safe out of any of the other drivers, using everyone else as bumper karts and spinning them out trying to slam you out of the way on a corner, never once getting flagged for it and not once waiting for a Pass-Flag. Not to mention the place was ran by kids between the age of 17-21, there were no safety introductions, right after you sign the waiver its alright, have fun with no direction what so ever, even after explaining its my first time there. Become more organized, fair and truthful or else this place will continue to crawl with 12 year olds destroying your equipment.

I love this place, the cars and the concept.I’m a ‘regular’ in the sense that I’ve been to this K1 location several times, among others from San Diego to Orlando, so I want to try to set the record straight about the reviews with complaints of speed throttling. Those folks are partially accurate.First, yes, K1 can control your pinned speed, and it’s a smart safety precaution. People on the track can range from Mario Andretti to Driving Miss Daisy so everyone needs to be safe. I’ve seen a careless driver hit another car so hard that their wheel contacted the other driver’s body. Carelessness will immediately get a driver throttled down, black flagged, or somebody injured. And yes reviewers, if you ram walls, bump other cars, spin out or fail to pull over for more experienced drivers you too will be throttled down. That said - these cars can go very very fast, and I think the staff has an important job of ensuring participant safety.Lastly, from my experience I look for lap time and not position. I think that’s where the complainers misunderstand the concept. If there’s a car going slow in front of you, don’t be an idiot by cutting them off or bumping and you simply won’t be throttled down. Finally, I will throw out a recommendation to leave the tweens (12-and-under) and the skittish family members on the sidelines. Driving ability is important, even for carts, and if someone is uncomfortable with it, please don’t convince them to race. I’ve seen scary accidents happen from inexperience and nervousness, which isn’t fun for anyone. All and all, it’s a guilty pleasure for teens and up, and it’s worth a visit to get the rush of the race.

Once our names were called, there were way too many karts on such a small track and nothing was done about other drivers acting like it was bumper carts. There were very few laps where employees didnt remotely stop the carts, and race was not the full number of laps for most of us because the person who came in first had passed the majority of racers at least twice. We ended up leaving after first race even though we had payed for 2.

This means at at our friends birthday party, we can’t even race today. The service attitude was also extremely rude and bad. We were complete ignored when asking question, and was people working there just went on helping other people. I get that they are busy, but we should still get our questions answered. There was also a lot of people st the place today, and only 2 counters were opened, making the process extremely slow. Because the requirement is that there have to be 8 people per race, and our group is separated, now we can’t even race because there aren’t even enough people in a group. This place is really trash. For k1 the track is a little slow but still ton of fun. These are electric karts so the drive feel is a little different than the gas monkeys but again still ton of fun.

Electric karting at its best. Cars are fast, well maintained, and the tracks are fun for beginners and advanced racers alike. My daughter loves it too, but gets frustrated because its hard for her to pass if the other drivers dont over the flag signals from the operators, ie. A few people dont follow the rules of a whats just a fun time, and they think they are racing for F1 champagne. I love that you dont wreak of any foul smells after racing, too, the beauty of electric karts

Tons of fun, small tight track, the carts do about 45mph

Just an ok experience for the price! Besides the friendly women at front desk register, the staff appeared unwelcoming and unfriendly. They also reduced the speed of the electric go carts during the race. Nice concept, but will not go here again!!

Wanted to give 0. They control your speed. Whats the point of racing then? Dont waste your time. Check some other karting place.

The staff is good at their jobs, and the racing is pretty fun. If youre looking for something very competitive though, the line painted on the track shows everyone the fastest line to take, so it makes passing very hard.

Two tracks, smaller and bigger e-karts, nice interiors and design. Been here for kids 11th birthday party.

Very fun but pretty expensive. Its also not a traditional race. They only go for your fastest lap time. So you can compete directly for the lead.

These electric karts are fast! Tons of torque to give you that grip out of the corners. Im really impressed with the handling of the karts. Great sensation of speed for a fraction of the cost of comparable gas karts. The mgr, Mick, is a great dude! Ill be back many more times.

Overall a fun experience, staff are very nice, but they set too much speed limit so these karts are REALLY slow.
