Great little park displaying carnivorous plant and bog type of nature.
Fun litle park to get away from the city for a little bit
Calling all plant nerds...this place is AMAZING! The Stanley Rehder Carnivorous Plant Garden at Piney Ridge Nature Preserve. Its tucked behind a school, youd never know its there. From a distance it doesnt look like much, but once youre down on the trail, youre surrounded by carnivorous plants, many native to North Carolina. Its free and there is a flat walkway and overlook, so its accessible to all. Kids and dogs are best kept on the wooden overlooks.
Very green little park! Its tucked away right where you wouldnt expect it to be. It has permeable concrete trails as well as dirt trails, and a little wooden jut-out with seats. Paved stone trails cut through the plant life so you can get up very close to look at the carnivorous little buggers. Its so cool! Its a little swampy oasis in the city.
Beautiful little garden with very unique little plants
A treasure. Love the carnivorous plants pathway and educational placards. Took my 8 and 14 year old children and they loved it.
Educational and beautiful. Its a pleasantly peaceful place
What a great trail. I definitely plan on coming back.
You have to look really close, but well worth the stop.
Beautiful park and an easy walk. The carnivorous plant reserve is really neat.
Interesting plants.
Very lovely
