Tranquility, serenity, crisp and sunny autumn day, gently murmuring creek, not-so-tiny waterfall, unassuming rose garden still sporting colorful blooms, remnants of fall foliage - in company of my beloved family and Ziggy... Whats not to love?!

This is a beautiful park during all times of the year! There is a paved path where you can walk through the whole park on both sides of the river. There are picnic tables and benches throughout the park. There are various exercise stations. There is a sit-up station and a pull up station with three different heights of pull up bars. There is also a little Zoo but they dont have very many animals. A great place to go for a walk if you live in the city!

We live to take walls at this park . there is a zoo , rose garden, trails and a river to sit and enjoy. Do not go into the water there because of the over flow and can get sick. But the birds that enjoy that water are nice to see. There really is a lot to do here. Oh and you can also go bike riding. You can spend hours here and not get board. Love it

One of my favorite parks to take my girlfriend to get away from all the craziness of the city. Plenty of trails paved and unpaved, as well as landmarks and some of the best views of the brandywine river. Almost as nice as Valley Garden.

People need to respect nature and our earth! There are plenty of trash cans around, there is absolutely no reason to throw coffee cups on the ground and in the water. The Brandywine is a beautiful park for families and to enjoy nature. Lets do a better job of keeping it clean.

The highlight of Brandywine is definitely the amount of trails and paths to choose from if youre a jogger, dog-walker, etc. Theyre not always clearly marked, but its not too difficult to find your way. The park also covers such a huge area that it doesnt feel crowded, but its also not empty. Theres a jungle gym for children as well. Overall, its a nice area to walk around on a lazy day~

Nice place to walk around and relax, take in sights, etc. I enjoy the sound of the river. Its a shame to see the amount of trash we did but thats not the parks fault. The zoo is a nice touch for the area but keep in mind its small, nothing too exciting there. The park is a nice surprise in such a built-up area. Youre just steps from center city and houses but it doesnt feel like it when youre in the park.

It is a cute though small zoo with some really adorable animals. The keepers are nice and knowledgeable. The shows are humorous and well thought out. Overall the only thing holding it back is the smaller size but they do as much as they can with what they have. If youre in the area and have $7 it is definitely worth coming for a couple of hours.

My wife and I were in town for only one night and an early morning. We decided to walk the dog in this park around 7.00 to 8.00 AM. It was a bit of a grey and chilly morning; not many people around. The park clearly has a lot of exploration potential and if we are ever back there we will explore further.

Beautiful park in the middle of the city. Great place to walk, exercise or just chill and enjoy nature. I recommend walking up and around both sides of the river. Check out the rose garden too. There are so many different colors and the smell is intoxicating. There are a few paved paths that line the river on both sides. Theyre well kept so walk, jog and bike without too much worry. I like to venture off path too. You can hike along the river banks and find some really neat semi-secluded spots with great views. I often see great blue herons and cranes on these navigable but occasionally overgrown paths. Watch out for poison ivy. There is jewel weed here too, just in case you have an unwanted encounter with poison ivy. Access to some man-made waterfalls can be found on these trails as well. If youre into urban architecture, you will find examples from modern back to colonial hidden throughout the park. Old stone walls and trails can be found if you venture a bit off trail. Try to find the old trolley tracks through the underbrush or follow the ivy covered sidewalks of the 19th century. If you hike away from the river on the Alapocas side, you will find more trails. These mostly go uphill and include the Greenway trails and paths. Ive been hiking this area for years and still havent seen it all.

This was my 1st time visiting and I must admit I was in awe of the beauty of the park and how much ground can be covered. The many different paths that I will learn in the near future made me curious to explore the park as a regular. Although theres construction going on in different areas of the park, its still a beautiful place to leisurely walk, people watch, enjoy the water and meet some furry friends along the way. I gave 4 stars because the construction caused you to walk in the street in certain parts which made it quite unsafe as the cars werent trying to slow down.

A scenic park with ample shade from the surrounding mature trees and a beautiful view of the Brandywine Creek. The vibrant cherry blossom trees are stunning in the springtime! A cute rose garden is nearby as well as views of some small waterfall type areas in the creek. Plus, there are bridges within the park that are architecturally interesting. A great park for pictures as there’s plenty of great photo opportunities! The park is also within very close walking distance to the Brandywine Zoo for a fun day trip with a picnic lunch.
