Beautiful park! The playground was nice and clean, my daughter loved the sand area. She got to see a bald eagle for the first time ️. Beautiful place to visit with beautiful trails and lots of space to run around. You can breathe natural fresh air here. Such a great place for a a quiet peaceful walk and time with family. We had a great time.
This is our favorite playground park, last year we even had our kids birthday party here. You can rent the pavilion and get a permit to have a funhouse/ bounce house. Like that the restrooms and near by always open and clean. The playground is the best has plenty of updated children’s play equipment and a big sand play area. This park also offers a big field area for sports and walk/ bike trail. We absolutely could spend a 1-2 hrs when we are here.
Great for walking, cycling, summer activity. Playground for soccer (reservation required). Party huts (reservation required)
Great park! A lot to do. Mostly friendly people
Maps dropped me off nowhere. I couldnt find it!
Great place kids love it.. lots to do and very clean
Lovely playground. Clean and safe. Its best feature is the sand pit with kid escavators.
Great big playground with a huge sandbox , plenty for toddlers and older kids to do. Has picnic benchs and really nice air conditioning bathrooms. You can also grill here , does cost $4 to get in but well worth it !
This state park and my daughter has a great time every time we go!
Still not open for the children to play
Great place to let the kids run around and have fun.
Great playground for both toddlers and big kids. Nice picnic area, clean bathrooms and trail for bike riding. Only downfall is you need to pay for parking. $4 DE residents and $8 out of state.
My almost 3 year old has a blast here. Sand, playground, and learning boards. Just need to rake the sand more to remove twigs.
Me and my boyfriend had a blast bringing our daughter, who is a couple months shy of 2 years old, here. My daughter loved it too! So much to look at and do. They have something for all the sensory systems , touch, hearing...AND, as a pale redhead, I LOVE the shading they made above the playground equipment!!! What a good idea for the summer and it even kept us dry during a passing rain storm. We will be going back again and again Im sure.
Perfect for my kids. Clean, safe, and entertaining!
It’s a huge kids’ park in a state park. There are a couple large play structures with cool features like musical instruments, telescopes, agility courses, etc. There are sand digger toys, which are always a hit. They also have the coolest swings I’ve seen—sort of a tandem swing with the baby seat in front, connected to the adult swing...so both parent and baby can enjoy a ride. There’s a big parking lot (with fees) and nice, clean bathrooms.
Loved it. Except you have to pay a small fee to use the park, but other than that, nice park. Clean and well kept.
Good place to walk
This is hands-down my favorite Park in the area, and there are a lots of parks in the area. Its big clean always has people around lots of shade from the trees and umbrellas that they have put up over the playground themselves as well. The walkways on the playground up and down are very wide so theres very little concern for kids running into each other and its easy for adults to follow along with them on both the younger kids section and the older kids section. The sand area is great with little diggers to play with and the brand new padded Tree / log area is super fun to watch kids play on From the Bench while you have lunch under the shade of a tree. Go and enjoy this park as often as you can its wonderful
Great place for children to play and explore.
Great play area for all ages and abilites
Any child would love this place.. Even adults love it. Whoever thought of it, thank you
One of the best playgrounds in new castle county. So many activities for all ages and abilities. Huge sand box area, lots of swings, climbing walls; amazing learning areas focusing on sight, sound and touch.
The playground is a good place for kids, and the land around it with great walking trails, soccer fields, and more, is great for outdoor exercise, and for trainers like me, a perfect spot to take our clients.
Place is amazing, super clean, excellent upkeep...great place
This playground/ state park is amazing! The friends of Wilmington state park/ Wilmington state parks/ alapocas state park have done wonders with this place My daughter loves this place and talks about it in her sleep! The crowd is always friendly and a great environment for the kids. The playground is A.D.A accessible and is always clean and tidy! Plus they have the nocest bathrooms i have seen in a while! Also the have changing stations in all bathrooms (bonus points!!) I highly recommend this park to anyone interested or visiting our lovely little state!
We love Can-do! My kiddos love the playground and I love the easily accessible family bathrooms with changing tables.
My kids love this playground! If you are driving in and dont have a park pass you do have to pay to enter. I have 3 boys ages 8, 4, and 3. They all love it. The ppl are always pleasant. There are fields to play in. My boys like playing soccer if the field isnt in use. There is a walking/jogging/biking trail my guys love riding their bikes and scooter. Weve seen a lot of different birds and animals while here particularly in the mornings. There are also bathrooms here that are always clean when Ive used them. The playground its self is alot of fun and has all the things kids wanna play on, including a sand area!
This is a fantastic park for children with different abilities. What a great park feature.
Great playground for a variety of ages! Theres a pavilion with picnic tables, restrooms, a sand pit and toddler and baby swings that the parent can sit and swing in while facing their child and they both enjoy watching the other.
Another winner in my book. My kids and I love the playground. Its shaded and has a lot of new playground equipment for them to play on. The bathrooms are close the play area and they r very clean. The athletic fields provide a great opportunity to really stretches ur legs and decompress.
Wonderful semi contained playground with tables in shade.
The playground is wonderful for kids. Lots of interactive equipment to play with. Beautifully landscaped and enjoyable for parents as well as children. The only drawback is that there is an 8 dollar parking fee most of the year. Be prepared to bring cash unless you visit in the off season.
I just wish the soda machine worked lol
We had a great time here.
Great place for kids of all ages. Plenty of activities and space. Could make it a wonderful picnic day as well. We always have a great time
Huge playground surrounded by verdant natural woods and paved walking paths. Convenient bathrooms; one is gender-neutral. Plenty of shaded areas to play in on hot summer days. Several picnic tables too.
Great playground when you’re visiting Brandywine area and Wilmington. There’s something for each age group. Lots of places for parents to sit and rest.
Needs a few more trees for shade
Wow, really great place for kids.
Great place to bike.
The best playground in Northern Delaware. The play area is mostly padded and or paved. There is a large sand area that my kids adore. Lots of different play things and swings of various kinds. There are a few picnic tables and a lot of benches spread through the area. AND there are full bathrooms. Just be aware that because its a state parkx you either pay per visit or you need to get a yearly state park pass which I highly recommend.
Riding bikes I was watching 2 rabbits in the grass feeding suddenly a large red tail hawk swooped down and attacked one of the rabbits and feed on it.amazing wild life right before my eyes.
An awesome place to have an interactive time with things to do for kids up to 12 y/o
Its clean and has many different features (playground, trails, etc) for all ages.
My kids and I love this playground and how accessible it is for all kids. I really like the new additions, too.
This is an amazing park for all children, even those in wheelchairs! Thanks to NCC and Rotary for original work and new improvements
Great place for the kids
Amazing playground!
My son had a field trip today here and he had so much fun
Such a fantastic playground. Kids never want to leave.
Awsome play area. Can handle a lot of kids
Great playground my son loves it
Fun and clean
Where is it Im still trying to find it
Great place for kids to run around.
Great playground, perfect swings, big sand pit.
My child is only 17 months, but she seemed to do well during a couple activities. I will likely be a frequent visitor, especially in a month or two when my child has a little more coordination.
Quite possibly the best playground in NCC. Huge sand box, climbing, tons of fun, bathrooms and water fountains right next to it.
Great playground for kids of all abilities. Nicely contained.
Is a nice place to spend with your kids
This is an excellent playground to take the kids to for a couple of hours of fun. Bring bikes and ride around before or after your visit. Connected to the Greenway Trail system, it can be accessed from Brandywine, Belmont, or Alapocas.
Fabulous playground inclusive of kids of all ability levels!
Fun for kids all ages
Very nice play area for kids. Parking for out of state plates is a little pricy.
Only gets 4 stars because its not a free park and theres a 2 minute walk from the parking lot
Looks beautifully set for its location.
Great playground for the kids.
Cool playground
Kids loved it
Great place
But why though
Nice shady little park.
