This is an awesome preserve with full of greenery. The park offers a network of trails for walking or hiking around deep wooded areas and wetlands.Beautiful views, of waterways, and wild birds. The trails are well maintained and easy to follow. A peaceful place to appreciate natureGreat for picnic, hiking, biking and jogging. The garden here is beautiful with common flowers. It’s one of the best hot weather hikes in Delaware. This is a peaceful and less disturbed forest area, 933 acre preserve with trails all around. The hidden pond trail is great with lots of greenery’s, it’s a trail with shade and nice river with clean and fresh water but, just beware of spiders and mosquitoes.*Covid 19: they follow a wear mask on trails policy, but lots of people don’t but it’s spacious enough that you can avoid close contact.* Fee: $4 for in state registered vehicles and $8 for others. The parking is a bit limited. We had a great weekend coming here!!

Great place to hike around! Good for kids and dogs. I do suggest some solid supportive shoes as parts of the trails are covered in large rocks, easy way to sprain an ankle if your not careful. The river was pretty, water was super clear.

Large Park and well maintained. Too bad they keep extending the period of time you have to PAY$ entrance fees! What gives with that? Used to be memorial day to labor day. Now it is November!!! Not right at all. If you are Delaware resident it should be no charge in my opinion.

I really enjoyed the park. I started out near the Park Office and took the trail over to Thompsons Bridge. Form there I went down the Brandywine Trail to the Rockland Parking Lot Area. From there, I got on the Cross Country Course and got back to the office. There were alot of interesting trees and boulders along the way. The views of the Brandywine were also nice. The numerous stone walls along the way were also interesting.

We stopped briefly at Brandywine Creek state park. There is plenty of parking by the lot at Hawk Watch. Nice walking trails. Flushing toilets and porta potties available. We saw lots of families picnicking.

Great park to visit, plenty of parking. One thing that is unfortunate is that littering had gone up in the last two years. The park family oriented and creek fun for tubing which you see a lot of. A Lot of flooding lately with the weather changing. Almost didnt make it there last week because there was so much flooding along the roads to get there. Landenburg roads were closed off to the park, so ended up at Brandywine.

Great place for hiking and also mountain biking. Very well maintained. Parking space is also very impressive. They have a parking fee. For residents of Delaware it’s just $4 and for outsiders $8If you like to enjoy some romantic time with your partner or a family outing, this is a great choice. We visited it during Memorial Day weekend. Awesome park! But it’s picnic tables were a bit dirty and had insects on them. This State park has a lot of greenery and is good for hiking, biking and walking or jogging. It has many open fields and it is quite a wide spread area with less people. The trails are missing markings hence you would get lost and move in circles; google map helps you get to parking bay!!Parking fees have started, $4 for state registered vehicle and $8 for out of state vehicles. There are multiple parking bays around the park.Overall, we had a great time in the park as it was less crowded and loads of greenery.Park is open for trails from sunrise to sunset.

Beautiful and well kept state park! Its actually a part of the First State National Historical Park in the NPS system. Their visitor center has the national park passport stamps, just ask the employee, they keep the stamps behind the counter. Lots of wide open land to hike around in and they even have a very well cut and maintained disc golf course! Didnt get a chance to play disc golf here but it looks like an excellent course to play on with the slight changes in terrain. Also very close to Winterthur.

My family and I really enjoy this park. The Hidden Pond Trail is especially pleasant, with many scenery changes and various focal points of interest along the paths. We do however hate the excessively large and poorly places rocks, stones, and bricks (yes, even red household bricks) that line the path.It is very difficult to hike the main trail down to the creek, unless you take another route, like the Hidden Pond Trail.I dont ride mountain bikes, but its possible that this large main trail may favor them over just daily walks and hike. And, I have only been here twice. I will update my review as needed, after future visits.

Some trails arent clearly marked, and the map that you see on the park website actually has more trails marked on it than the map you get at the office.Wonderful park regardless. Out of state parking was $8, you have to get an envelope and pull the receipt off and stick it in your window. Trails were mildly busy for a warm spring day. We and our dogs loved it.

Used All Trails to find the 5 mile Brandywine Creek Trail. It looped us along the creek so we enjoyed it on the way there and the way back. Toward the beginning of the trail, we were on the side of a road with no sidewalk, just a worn down, eroding path that was pretty dangerous. Other than that 1/4 mile stretch, it was a nice trail.

Great park not to far from my home. I cant wait to get out there more and shred the mountain bike trails. There are quite a few. And let me stress one more thing. Buy the DE state park sticker for your car. Its worth it. Dont be a scum bag and do everything you can to not buy one. Like parking in the street and walking into the park. That money goes into maintaining the parks. There I said my piece. Now go have some state park fun you kooks!
