Great park. Lots of wide open space, many different trails, beautiful wildlife and very clean. Great for walking, biking, running and just spending time with friends outdoors. Play equipment is currently blocked off due to covid but still lots of room for little one to run, play and explore. Mask are currently required and social distancing is encouraged.
Very nice park with walking, bike and horse trails. There is also a decent disc golf course. A great place to go and exercise and/or relax.
Renovations to the disc golf course in the last few years features a vastly improved back 9. A nice mixture of park and slightly wooded holes to engage the accomplished disc golfer and challenge the novice. The caretakers seem to take pride in maintaining the course.
We were traveling for work in Philadelphia and Delaware was close by. Its one of the few states I hadnt been to so we decided to check it off the list. They charge an $8 fee to get in for non-residents which felt pretty steep to me. Most state parks dont charge. The park itself is nice, but didnt really feel like a state park to me. It was more at the level of a county park. Theres a nice pond to walk around and some horse back riding I believe, but overall it doesnt really offer as much as other state parks. It would be a good place to hang out, but I probably wouldnt because of the entrance fee.
This was our second time there. It was a most enjoyable time. Direction were clear getting to particular locations and parking was plentiful. There were plenty of areas to enjoy the open spaces in peace and quiet. I recommend that if youre in the area stop in to enjoy the fresh air and open spaces.Mt. Man
Went for a bonfire and wagon event. Friendly and helpful staff. A wonderful time!
Bellevue is a delightful state park. I live in Massachusetts, but visit family in north Wilmington several times a year, and often get up to Bellevue when I do. It has a great nine furlong track that is excellent for exercise. We always walk, but some run and a few bike. The track also has specialized exercise equipment at intervals. Theres also a good Frisby golf course, picnic tables, swings, etc. There is a stables (the DuPont family who donated the estate trained race horses) and there are riding lessons given, although I dont know any details on that. The old mansion is available as a venue for special events.
First time for me my wife and Oliver our pooch! Had a very nice experience.
The hayride is an incredible way to share some quality time together with friends.
Great place to exercise, relax, and be in nature. I would prefer that people follow the rule of having a mask on if coming in close proximity to someone not in their own party.
I love walking and running the trails. Very clean and spacious
It was good and decent. Came here on a Saturday. It was sunny enjoyed the weather and bbq grill. People were following social distancing. They had a grill around each table/bench. They also have a reserved place if you want to book by calling them. Not sure if they charge extra. But they have entry ticket to the park.
One if the best parks in nj/pa/de area
Such a beautiful park. The park is big and offers a lot of different activities. Be prepared to walk if you are going to the pavilions
Beautiful park but disc golf course was not well marked for the front nine holes.
Beautiful open space lots to see great place to exercise in have fun
This park is open and my friends and I went on their very wide walking path where we could maintain a nice 6 feet between us all. A good day out. Nice large park with plenty of trails, fauna and foliage to admire.
Excellent place to chill, take a nice walk around the track and through the walk paths.
A beautiful place with tons to offer including live music and horses.
Beautiful park to throw some frisbee golf or just relax.
Beautiful park with a lot to do. Catch and release pond, an exercise/bike track with fitness stations, picnic tables, volley ball nets, tennis courts, an amphitheatre, and trails. My doggie likes to watch the horses.
Great place for a childs birthday party.
Delaware has some really neat parks and this is one of them. A huge 1 mile track you can ride, run or walk on. The track also has fitness stations located along it. A large pond that you can fish in. A stable and nice nature trails. Plus there is a public restroom that is maintained and clean. If you are bored on a nice day, you need to visit this park and get back to nature.
Beautiful, scenic and tranquil. Bike paths are well marked, there are catch and release ponds, dog friendly, volleyball nets, tennis courts, picnic grills and tables amongst other amenities.
Huge park with playgrounds, walking and bike trails either paved or off road. Huge pond for fishing. Horse stables, tennis courts, hayride, summer concerts and more. Several geocaches. Beautiful place.
Fresh air, wildlife, and scenic views of the pond and bridge.
Very pretty state park and a awesome disc golf course
I love delawre parks they are a great value. This is a beautiful park here nice for kids.I think it is old horse farm not sure.
Beautiful piece of preservation in the middle of urban development. A step back in time
This lovely state park has a lot to offer. Rather than just lovely paths in the woods (which it does have), there are several bonus activity areas that offer much to families or groups of friends. They have horseback riding, a running track, a frisbee golf course, and what appears to be a public garden space. The day I went, the park was hosting a cute little flea market. You can also buy sustainably harvested firewood which helps fund the park.
Great ace for family, friends, and activities.
Lovely park! There is a fitness trail that Is a little over a mile and has exercise equipment/instructions along the way. The pond is beautiful.
Nice place to walk. You can fish, frisbee gulf, or walk/run/bike the track.
Great disk golf course. Lots of trees
Nice paths for walking or bike riding.
Nice place wonderful park. Should always be free for public
Great place with a fishing lake, horse farm, amphitheater, and tons of paths.
Peaceful place to fish and have family time
Its an absolutely well-scaped and scenic park. Bellevue has been a favorite place for decades
A beautiful park. I havent walked around much, but the areas I have are very peaceful. A great way to spend some time during the day to get outside.
Nice shades paths and trails, pond, and always nice to see the horses.
Excellent, varied playgrounds, including ersatz boulder and a train element (near the band shell). Beautiful scenery. Always love the free (with park admission) concerts. Horses to see.
I run the gravel oval track 3-4 times per week. It’s always well kept and is perfect for running since sidewalks give me shin pain. The park staff I’ve interacted with are very nice. The cross country track is hard to follow (got lost like four times) but the paths are always pleasant even if I make a wrong turn. Some smaller hills make the trails moderately challenging. Easier running on the oval track. The pond is a great place to relax after a run. I always feel a sense of peace staring out at the water.
Great place specially for kids.
Sweet little park with fishing ponds, paved and unpaved trails (through woods as well as open fields), disc golf course, lots of benches and picnic areas, a few pavilions, and wildlife including deer. Theres a 1-1/8 mile track in the center that has a fitness stations along the way. There are volleyball courts and playground equipment, and the trails are used by equestrians, walkers, joggers, and bicyclists alike. (Some are restricted for their use, so its not the free-for-all I may have made that sound like!). Truly, theres something for everyone in this peaceful gem of a park.
I love the free summer concerts! The playground and sandbox are great. And there is usually a quiet place to meditate. Also a nice even track for jogging, as well as hiking paths.
Great park for walking, jogging, frisbee golf, scenery. Beautiful Park!
The best little park. The track is awesome for jogging biking or just a stroll. Many other trails and plenty of facilities.
A beautiful park
There is a fee to enter this park between March and November. Its $4 in state and $8 out of state. Its mainly a 1 mile track around a pond with many other side trails that are mostly paved. There are tons of pavilions and picnic tables as well as 4 playgrounds. Only 1 of the playgrounds looks kept up but there are many swings at the other ones. This park is good for large mouth bass fishing, biking, walking, frisbee golf and picnics.
Decent size, good walking, or dog park, scenic. But you do have to cross a busy road way to experience the whole park
Best park around!
Large but beautiful grounds
A very nice state park. Pretty big considering it is in northern Delaware. Lots of historic sites. The southern part has a great view of the Delaware river. The northern part has something for everyone. Lots of hiking. If you like horses, there are plenty to see. I came for the 16 geocaches in the park. We found them all. We also came in December thru February since the entrance fee was not in place.
Friendly horses, nice jogging/waking track, free fall & winter...just a bit flat & barren for my liking
Did the snow moon night hike . with wife and daughter. Alot fun was cloudy but towards end was clearing enough to see some dark patches and the pink glow was nice
I enjoy walking the oval
Great Wilmington park for family and fun.
Nice park to fish, trails, disc golf and kids love the playgrounds here. Nice well maintained park
We love coming here for the free (included with park admission) summer concerts on Weds and Sun evenings during the warm months. The pond is great for fishing and the main trail/track is perfect for a walk, jog, or bike ride. One of the many state parks we visit with our annual pass!
Nice wooded trails with horse stables! Road full of pot holes
Local to me, great for a walk, for kids, bbq, picnic. They have fishing including bass but its over fished so they are skittish and size is lacking. But if you want a place to take young kids and pretty guarantee they will catch something there are plenty of pan fish who will bite almost anything. Over all a nice place to get out and get some fresh air.
Beautiful park.
Love to visit here. saw a buck and some does today, pet some horses. And took a nice walk with family.
We were here to see a concert, what a fantastic setting to see a band. They were easy to hear, they had food trucks and even a beer stand where the profits from the beer help fund further events at the park. I would highly recommend making it to any future events.
This place has a small entrance fee. It has great scenary. You can have a small wedding or party here. As well as take great pictures.
Great Park, always love it.
Very nice place
Huge, open, varied, great paths, close to nature.
For a quiet stroll, a picnic, a scenic park to enjoy with your family and friends.
Beautiful outdoor destination. Wide even walking path with exercise stations. Great for walking, jogging, or riding bikes without feeling crowded. Three cute playgrounds my kids enjoy. Catch and release fishing.
Easy access, beautiful park, plenty of parking and wildlife
Beautiful grounds, horses, greenery, everything just amazing!
Always a great time. Great for humans and dogs
Another in a long list of great state parks. this ones got an incredibly fun disc golf course and a lake that freezes over for skating. walkers get a huge cinder track and theres even horses for the equine set.
I took my grandson Fishing for the first time. We had a blast meeting new people and seeing turtles! We didnt catch any fish but witnessed people who did.We will definitely be back!
Bellevue is a beautiful park. At night you can see the lightening bugs light up the trees. They have horse stables where you can see the horses. We hope to come during the day to walk around.
Its my first time to been there.Nice environment to hang out with family. My son was playing all the time and my daughter loved the swing. She was almost 3hours on the swing and saying wanna go again.Lots of different types of playing area for kids.I wish i had the fishing license,i could fishing in the pond.Clean restrooms are another plus point.Love the place....Next time will go with more preparation..........Thanks Management....
Cara at wellspring farm gave our girl scouts a wonderful, informational and fun packed morning learning about horses and horseback riding!!!
Wonderful park. Very fun/funky disc golf course!
