We had a wonderful experience sitting outside at left foot Charlie enjoying flights and a charcuterie board. The food and beverages were outstanding.I would like to give a shout out to the staff here. We sort of got forgotten after we sat down. Once the staff figured out that they forgot us, they were honest and apologized and treated us wonderfully. This made a lot of difference as they could have left us in a bad mood but they corrected the issue.I would highly recommend this place for the friendly staff and amazing food and drink.

Beautiful atmosphere with outdoor seating located near the old insane asylum. View of the barrels of wine. Waiter was knowledgeable and incredibly nice; our group of four was enjoying ourselves so much we didnt realize the place had closed and not once did he tell us. The flights we chose were clearly labeled and delicious.

We spent a few days travelling through the wineries in Traverse City. Left Foot Charley was our last spot. It’s cool because it’s more central. It’s near a bakery, restaurant and coffee shop. We wanted to do a tasting of their rose and cider. My absolute fave was the Cinnamon Girl cider. I think it’s the best I’ve ever had. Such a genius idea to have cinnamon with an apple cider. I regret not buying more for my trip home.Check it out!!

Honestly I wish I could give a positive review about my experience at this little winery. We arrived early for dinner reservations so we figured we would stop here. We ordered our first flight of ciders no problem. After that our server Max P server 6099 said he would not serve another drink for 10 minutes. We patiently waited and when he came back he said he didn’t want to serve us anymore after only having the first drinks of the night. We were not loud, not rowdy, and had our masks. Disappointed they accused us of being intoxicated when we only had one. Very poor customer service. Losing out on business during a pandemic. Yikes.

I recent was visiting this place my last review will tell you all that happened. I am currently writing this review because I was hoping to talk to their manager because to this day I am still upset over my past experience there. They told me to email her and I have yet to hear back from her since August 11th. You would think a company would take certain situations more seriously to provide that better customer experience. I would recommend any other winery based off of the customer experience or lack of by the management team.

Award winning wines and ciders, made from ingredients as locally-sourced as possible — now you know you can’t go wrong with that! Try the late harvest Riesling, or if you want something bubblier, go for the Cinnamon Girl hard cider... so delicious!

My husband and I and our two friends stopped in before our reservation at a local restaurant to do some wine tasting before dinner. My friend and I both had one glass and my husband and his buddy had one flight of cider. We had taken our time through the first round, quietly conversing, etc. When my husband was ready for a second glass our server Max and other wait staff refused to serve us any more due to the assessment that we were “inebriated”. I assure you these were our first drinks of the night and weren’t any louder than any other table in the establishment. When we questioned them as to why they didn’t have an answer but said they wouldn’t be serving us anything further. Unfortunately the wine was very good, however the wait staff made us feel so uncomfortable and made a scene refusing to serve us. We would never return to this establishment. If they feel people are drunk after a small flight of cider, they should consider changing their menu. If your looking for Traverse City wine tasting, I would suggest looking else where.

I feel like Traverse City as a whole has fallen to a sub par level of performance. Came here three years ago and it was amazing, 2020 not so much. We ordered a charcuterie plate and a wine sampler, recieved 2 types of cheese and salami in a take out container. Sorry, but if you care more about people wearing masks and less about service, you will fail as a company. I wouldnt recommend Downtown Traverse City as a vacation destination until people wise up and realize this mask propaganda is hurting business!

We didnt have very high expectations for this place, thinking that all cider is super sweet, but the stuff they have here is completely different (and way more tasty!!).We sat at the bar where Mary helped us for a few hours, trying a bunch of different ciders, as well as wines. We were also very surprised by the quality of the wines. We plan to order the shippable ciders online (and wine!) to hold us over until our next trip to Traverse City/Left Foot Charley next fall or spring. There are a quite a few small batch ciders that you cant be shipped.

Have been here many times, and the quality of the product is always high, the servers are always pleasant, and the ambience, especially on the patio, has always been lovely. I really enjoyed the ciders and the Perry this week. Cant remember the names, but they used a wide variety of local apples & pears that produced tasty products, and of course they had my all time fav, Cinnamon Girl. I will continue to recommend LFC to visitors and locals.

We love the hard cider and wine selections here. We visit each year, our last visit it was a little busy so the staff wasn’t the most friendly or attentive. I appreciate the great customer service I received from her so will definitely be back again next year!

We stopped here first on a week-long trip to the TC area and we really enjoyed it! So much, in fact, that I joined the wine club, despite it being the FIRST stop in a very long wine trail. I wish I could recall the mans name who helped us...he was friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. He did not push the club either--we asked about it. Since we were there just a month after the last shipment, he boxed the selections up for us to take, and ran outside after us when he forgot to give us our welcome letter. We were here with family that included 7 children combined, and the staff (I only saw two actually) were relaxed about it. There are some toys outside for kids and some chairs if you want to carry out a glass and enjoy a view of the old hospital. There is also a coffee shop (Higher Grounds) right next door. We went back on our last day in TC for another tasting and they let my sister use one of my free tastings while my husband I shared one. We both bought more wines, and Cinnamon Girl cider is a new favorite.

If youre looking for a nice place to hang out and kill some time in a leisurely fashion, youll likely be successful here. The ambience is pleasing with tasteful decoration and music, along with great lighting from the large window front. The staff is also very knowledgeable and welcoming. However, if youre here for a pleasurable wine tasting experience, thats where the stars drop for me. The wine selection is quite limited, especially if youre into reds, which leaves you with all but one choice. Im sorry, but not one of the wines I sampled were worth the trip. They were largely lacking in body and flavor, smacking your tongue with carbonation before rapidly fleeing without leaving behind much to desire. Take my words here with a grain of salt I guess - it is a matter of taste after all.If youre up for the drive, head over to Pond Hill Farms in Harbor Springs to see what Michigan grapes are capable of.

I give them 5 stars for having a dog friendly patio and for having amazing hard ciders (specifically the cinnamon girl and the beekeeper). Loved this place and their Riesling however this year this waitress would only serve water to a family member accusing him/us of being intoxicated even though we weren’t and we weren’t even driving. I will definitely be telling anyone and everyone I know to never go to this winery when wine tasting in traverse city. Excellent little winery. The cinnamon cider was great, not what I was expecting. Several great Rieslings available. My recent experience at Left Foot Charley was disappointing given the Google reviews that I had seen prior to going. The staff was not particularly friendly (two people working, hardly anyone in there, and they were consumed with their own private conversation and making sure all the dishes were clean.) After we were finally greeted, the server seemed annoyed that we wanted to do the sample tasting (resulting in him having to come back and refill our glasses.) He never smiled, and made us feel like were a burden since we each did our own sampler (he asked if we wanted to share, to which we answered no.) The portion of the munchies was also disappointing for the price. Overall, the wine was OKAY but as for the experience, we were very disappointed with the friendliness and overall acknowledgement of the staff.
