The hotel was clean. Josh at the front desk was so nice and informative. The view was beautiful. Due to COVID-19, no one was allowed in the hotel without a mask unless in your own room. This made me feel safe especially since I had my children with me. I would return.

Ok, I have mixed feelings about it, the resort has stunning views if you get lake view room. Rooms are nice since the resort is relatively new (they are adding another wing). Beds are comfy. There is a private beach in front of the resort with complimentary chairs. Dining options are limited within walking distance. There is Mexican restaurant (Red Mesa Grill) across the street with really good food and cocktails (Brazilian steak is strongly recommended )Cons, biggest one is the balcony. They are dek like constructed thus whatever neighbours above you spill or drop (sand for example) is coming down on you. See photos. It is a pain in the butt if you are enjoying wine and sunset. Take my advise and choose top floor.Number two is cleanliness, considering it is newer resort I would not expect mold of any type on the caulking in the shower (see photos). Bleach and brush would solve this problem if applied on regular basis. Both things are small but do matter considering price tag.All in all The Baywatch Resort is a place to consider while searching for a place to stay while planning vacation in Traverse City.

Very happy with our two night. We had a first floor, walk-out king room with a whirlpool tub, which was spotlessly clean. We loved being able to walk out the sliding door and see the lake or walk the few steps down to the beach. We sat on the patio in the chairs for hours just relaxing. I wish I knew the name of the young woman who worked there. We were on the way to go down on the beach when she walked by and my husband asked her if there were any restaurants on Old Mission peninsula. She said no, there were only wineries and houses. About 20 minutes later she came and found us on the beach and apologized for giving us incorrect information. She then gave us a print out of all the restaurants on the peninsula with a map where she had the circled for us. Great customer service! Its important to note that the beach is TINY. It is definitely a lay in a lounge chair kind of beach, not a run and play kind of beach. There were in the process of building a second building attached the original one. The beach in front of that area is even smaller. When that is finished and opened, I think there is a chance there wont be enough room on the beach. Take a look at it on google maps (satellite) to see what Im talking about. Fine for adults to lounge on, but not really room for kids.

The hotel was beautiful and new. The balcony was awesome. Unfortunately the water is high so the beach is pretty small, although they had a lot of chairs out there. The biggest downside is how easily you can hear your neighbors, both on your floor and above it. There were a lot of running noises coming from upstairs. The cleaning crew was great but their music was easily heard when my daughter was trying to nap. If youre a light sleeper, I recommend a sound machine. Otherwise it was a pleasant place to stay.

My wife and I came here for a quick getaway trip. The good is the place is all new, apparently. It is all crisp and clean. The employees are bright, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located, has a small beach, and our rooms overlooked the water. The cons are the rooms are TINY and the balcony is TINY. No real amenities I could see. We went down to the beach for a few secs but there is little to no room there either. Its a place to stay.

Best hotel I have ever been to! We had a walk out to the beach king size bed room and it was spectacular. Super clean and updated. We had a jacuzzi tub by our bed and a beautiful view of the lake. Lots of towels and a coffee machine in the room. No room service due to COVID but if we needed new sheets or towels of coffee pods they accommodated us! Josh at the front desk was AMAZING. Had a good stay here! The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. You can tell its a new resort. I really enjoyed the large tub. The location on the water is nice but there isnt much of a beach between the resort and the water. The sound proofing is not good. Our neighbors above us kept us up until 130 in the morning. Had a terrific stay at Baywatch Resort on the first night to reopen from Covid-19 quarantine. The staff did a terrific job making guests fell welcome and comfortable in this new era of masks and social distancing. You absolutely need to upgrade to a balcony room if available. Seeing the sunset over the Mission Peninsula at night and listening to the waves lap up on the shore was super romantic and relaxing. This is especially true after returning from an Old Mission winery with a new bottle to open and chill out on the deck chairs. The room itself had a new bed that was supportive and comfy. Big shower, tv and refrigerator all were nice along with in room coffee. No ice or continental breakfast was available during this new post-covid environment, so plan accordingly. But overall great property in a terrific location with an on-point staff, highly recommend! May 23, 2020

Overall, the hotel was fine. We arrived Wednesday, and I can say with certainty that the gym was never cleaned. They were out of sanitizer wipes by Friday morning, trash never emptied, etc. Normally, I wouldnt even care, but in these times with Covid, it made me wonder what else they were ignoring. Based on this alone, we would not stay there again. But, if we were not in the middle of a pandemic, Id likely have no complaints.

Location a+. Room was in great shape, appeared to be newly renovated. View from bayside balcony was killer. Our biggest qualm was the lack of service attributed to the China virus. It was our responsibility to bring our garbage to the front desk, come down to the front desk for towels/soap/new sheets etc, and when we requested the new items as listed above it was almost like pulling teeth to get them. We also had to buy a broom and cleaning supplies to keep our room in order during our trip. Aside from that, it was a pleasant stay

Great view and clean resort! We stayed for three nights, four days in a first floor room with an in-unit hot tub. This is the first resort weve stayed at since COVID-19 and Social Distancing has taken effect, and they take great measures to make sure everything is sanitized. Rating 4 stars because while I can understand that there is no longer Continental Breakfast due to COVID-19 restrictions, it would be nice if they had some individually wrapped bagels or pastries or boxed cereal behind the counter that you could request, like the keurig cups (good coffee). The resort is located on a busy road that is down to one lane due to some sort of construction (we didnt see any while we were there during the week) so its kind of difficult to get up and go find breakfast. Staff was rather friendly and will quickly replace towels if you call the front desk (cleaning staff cant come into your room to clean until after you check out).

First of all here is the definition of a resort: A resort is a self contained commercial establishment that tries to provide most of a vacationers wants, such as food, drink, lodging, sports, entertainment, and shopping, on the premises, what little amenities they offered on there site when we booked, were told they were unavailable at check in, although the room was nice and the staff kind and courteous, this is definitely not a resort, its just a over price hotel at best

Clean and crisp. A new hotel with vinyl flooring throughout and the most comfortable mattresses. I never realized how much cleaner a hotel seems when it doesnt have carpet. Walk-in showers are narrow, but nice - they do have a bowed glass door to provide a bit of extra elbow room. Champagne-bubble spa tubs in all of the king courtside and lower level rooms. The king upper rooms facing the bay have sofabeds and private balconies, but no spa tub. No pool at this hotel, but you can swim in the bay and enjoy the beach. Breakfast options arent as great at this hotel as some of the others I have stayed at in TC - I wish they wouldve had one of those Belgian waffle makers that many of the other local hotels have. Overall I was very impressed with the beautiful, clean rooms, loved the mattress, and the service from the staff was very professional and accommodating.

It is not typical of me to write a review, but my stay here today compelled me to write a review.Positives: nice place aesthetically, comfortable bedsNegatives: Just a lot of weird things add up to an uncomfortable stay. The young lady at the front desk took the liberty to run my bill on the wrong card, inundated me with rules (some normal, some abnormal) at the front desk, and talked about the customers who didnt follow the rules. Honestly, it just gave a real unprofessional and childish vibe. I thought it was weird. As I walked to the elevator there were two laminated notices about how your child should act in the halls. Also, weirdly I ran out of hot water when filling my jacuzzi tub.Anyhow, this place just feels condescending and odd and makes me wish I would have spent my money elsewhere. It make me feel like Im staying at my judgemental Christian cousins house. :( Im a Christian...but you know what I mean...

Fresh, Clean & Great ViewsNew enough to be fresh, but open long enough to work out any issues. Great option if you value a bay view - just be sure to book the right room. Location is a short drive into town, but not very walkable.Feels like a solid, mid-range, independent hotel. Good quality beds, linens, towels, but nothing fancy. Only onsite good is in the vending machines. Breakfast is palatable but disappointing - no fresh fruit (just syrupy fruit cocktail), no oatmeal, eggs were reheated frozen disks. It will get you going, but not as good as other similar hotels nearby like Sugar Beach.Staff is friendly and courteous. One morning we didnt head out until 10am and housekeeping never refreshed our room. Front desk said it was an oversight, apologized and sent up fresh towels, etc.Floors fake wood - a good thing. Great view of the beach and the bed and tub were nice. The only issue I had was the noise. My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Baywatch to celebrate our one year. We were very disappointed in the hotel. I never write negative reviews but I feel this is necessary. The room was OK, but definitely not worth the going rate of $290 a night and $330 price tag after taxes and fees. The room has a jetted tub which was nice, and a decent shower. The bed was alright, except for the rock hard pillows that you would not expect to find in a cheap hotel, let alone a $300 a night hotel. We could hear the people walking around above us pretty loudly. The floors were covered in sand from the previous guests. We did have a first floor room that walked out onto the beach, but the sandy floors were just careless. The cleaning staff woke us up both mornings we were there because they were so loud out in the halls. The complementary breakfast was probably the worst part of our stay. They have a small room up front with a couple tables and a counter with a box of bagels, some English muffins, some donut holes, a container of hard boiled eggs, and the best part.... Microwaved sausage patties and microwaved premade egg patties in crock pots. At least they had a juice machine with orange and apple juice.

Absolutely beautiful property. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We have traveled to many different areas and this is one of our top 3 hotels for sure! Clean, fresh, and modern. My only complaint would be the noise when people walk down the halls/floors above you. Maybe a stuffed comfy (instead of the metal table sets) chair in the King Tub Suites would help with the acustics?
