Had the opportunity to hike the trails here. Completed all three loops for a total of approximately 9 miles.Overall a great trail and enjoyed it. Bring a map and GPS it on your phone if you can so you can make sure you are in the trail. Between mile marker 2 and 3, and also between 5 and 6 the trail makers are a little hard to see. Map and GPS helped. Definitely recommend if you are looking to hike for a few hours.

Quiet location - lots of crossing trails (including horse trails). Not to far from Tallahassee - offers great landscapes, different terrain and lots of trees. Small creeks run through the property. The trails are lightly traveled. Trail runs along water but offers very little in good photos near the water.

The absolute best place in the Tallahassee area to ride horses. Lots of wooded trails with hills and small water Crossings and wonderful scenery along Lake Talquin. Hiking trails are separate from the horse trails, and no bicycling or mountain bikes are allowed in the State Forest at Lake Talquin

Lovely trail just outside of Tallahassee. Not a long drive. The trail was pretty challenging because the different trails intersect quite often. A great way to spend a few hours away from the hustle of Tallahassee

Great ride as always. Love bringing the horses here. Crossed 5 creeks which is great practice for them so we back tracked so we could cross them again.

This park is actually the state Forrest land. There are lakes for swimming and boating. Good fishing here too. There are trails for walking, biking, horseback riding and for off road vehicles like 4 wheelers.

Nice trails! You can get a good little hike here, I think up to 9 miles. Pleasant views of Lake Talquin, and a couple of Camp sites too.

I hike these trails 5 or 6 times a year. Its 9 miles around all 3 trails and will give you a good workout. I wear Tick repellent clothes and sometimes there are some dead ticks on them. The trails are not maked all that well so make sure you are on the hiking trails and not the horse trails. You will know if it you miss a turn and are on the sandy horse trails. They have each mile marked so you can count down or up for your 9 mile hike. Lots of water if you do summer hikes. All most all shade and lots of up and down for elevation. Small restroom at trail head. A bench on the lake for a rest.

This place is beautiful Ive been on many trails to many parks so when me and my husband came to Tallahassee we looked for a park with cool trails we were excited to go on our hike and even invited friends too bad we werent able to enjoy our time there one trail in we werent able to do the rest we were covered in ticks!!!!! It was a tick infestation you can see them crawling all over the floor and they were getting on us there was no way we could finish this trail just to let others know its a beautiful park but these trails are covered In ticks so I guess come prepared if theres such thing to be prepared for ticks all over you. We all jogged back to our vehicles and they were still getting on us then we stripped off our clothing and shoes we didnt want to bring these ticks home to our animals or in our vehicles this was a nightmare now I know why there were shoes left at the pavilion others before us mustve just ditched their shoes before getting in their cars..... dont bring your pets to this park
