Great playground with splash park and even a lake beach. My son loved this place and can’t wait to go back! The splash pad is awesome! Bathroom on site and shaded tables and benches. No real shade for playground. Great place to play.

It’s a basic park area, but the new splash park for kids is a great addition. We attempted to fish here which was a mistake as it’s way too active around in the summer. Everybody still had a great time though enjoying the view, eating and just hanging out

Gets pretty crowded on sunny days. Idk why they decided to make the splash pad out of concrete by my kids still love it

Great place to take the family with the new splash pad, playground, and beach to swim or grill on. There are picnic tables and a few charcoal grills in the immediate area. There is a bathroom there as well (not ideal for changing). The kids love being able to go between the beach, splash pad, and playground as desired (all in close proximity). They are completely worn out each time we leave and they dont get bored because there are so many things to do. Bring sunscreen, shade, and chairs if you want.

Its basically a private beach. There is a massive park for 3-8 years. Fishing allowed. In the summer, its a little piece of heaven.

For someone who lives on or near base this is a cute place to go to for military families! Especially ones with young kiddos and many lol push the baby on the swing while you can watch the other ones run around this huge park, and even tho its big you have a pretty clear sight through it all to keep track of your little ones running about. But do keep an eye on the front side of the park there is a road that cars drive threw the park on and I think its posted 5 but you know some people just in a big hurry and to be honest I didnt realize it was a road through the park at first I thought it was a paved walking path it blends in really well with only a few big rocks to separate the road from the park.

Our familiesfavorite neighborhood park.A brand new splash pad as of this summer.Restrooms and a seasonal marina that is open late spring thru summer where you can buy bait and snacks.The park can be very crowded during peak summer hours, with people leaving lots of trash including broken glass & fishhooks in swimming areas.It could be more of a gem if visitors werent so careless & disrespectful to wildlife.

Summers Cove was great! There is a huge Playground. Right next to the playgroundnis a splash park and if your feeling a swim the lake is accesible too! Nearby is the rental facility and lots of picnic locations some sheltered. Most spots if not all of them have a grill as well. Ill take lots of photos next time I go but the ones posted are really accurate. Id recommend taking your family on an 80+ degree day to enjoy the lake but atb72 degrees the water was slightly warm but got cold enough to get out and shiver after 40min.

My gut tells me to say its awful because its never packed and too many good reviews will ruin it... but in the spirit of being a kind human, I admit its the absolute best sandy beach. The bathroom is usually clean, the playground is huge and has awesome equipment, and you have to have JBLM access to get there, so theres never a crowded day. My kids love the soft sand and the shallow swimming area.

Nice park to bring young children and take a peaceful walk along the shores of American Lake, this is located in the north part of Joint Base Lewis Mcchord, access is controlled.

What a great hidden treasure. Visiting from va beach. The cove was just right! perfect blend for all ages.The Playground, little of everything, clean. The nature walks took us back to our childhoods, seeing and eating fresh blackberries. The untouched part of nature, even the creatures. The Coves rocks and waterway were perfect wish we brought chairs. I could have sat there all day. Its been a long time since Ive seen a log in the water keep children happy. I heard 3 children upon leaving the park say this has been the best day of my life. Priceless....

It has everything you need for a good time

Love this place! The park, itself, has some if the best playground equipment Ive eveer seen. My kids (2, 3 & 4 years old) have a blast, and it is well suited to children up to age 12. There is lots of space to roam and run, plus the lake is just down the hill from park. Covered tables and benches make this a great spot for a picnic, too.

Awsome splash pad clean and brand new.

My 1 year old absolutely loves this playground. Most playgrounds now have mulch but this place has rubber tiles. It makes the experience more enjoyable because my daughter can walk around better and isnt tempted to eat mulch. The 1st time we went one of the trash cans was overflowing but we came back the next day and it was emptied. The bathrooms (when theyre open) seem relatively clean. The kids and parents are always very friendly. Theres also a great view of American Lake.

I like this park best because the toys are safe , I can see the kids easily, soft material to run on, covered areas to eat, 2 play areas one with gravel and jungle gym, bathrooms, enough parking and a pokeman go stop there You can walk down to lake or go on trails as well.

This park is amazing. Great equipment with lots to do. The beach is close. Its a perfect place for a picnic.

Located on Joint Base Lewis-McChord... North Fort on American Lake. One of the best playgrounds on the installations but I wish there was more parking a Anais shaded groove of trees nearby with a few picnic tables and benches.

Only negative thing about our cookout at the park was the restrooms were locked and you had to travel down near the Bistro to use one.
