Built some rock buddies at the creek... Very clean at both entrance and exit, the water feels great on your hot feet right now, plenty of space for pedestrians and cyclists alike!

Love her always clean. Great Trails makes you feel like youre away from the city being pretty close in and the neighborhoods really nice that it sits back in so all around a great times we had. Just a heads up for people going theres a big toy in the neighborhood for kids, community garden, some sitting areas I dont think theres anywhere to grill or anything though and theres a creek at the bottom of the trails. Also it has a nice little Loop thats out in the open so not back in the woods area if you just want to go in a circle around trees but not in the trees and it is paved.

Warning: Friday Nov. 20, 2020 my dog and I were attacked by 4 loose dogs, with only one Pitbull biting both of us. We were near the bike trail-head on E 56th St. They ran directly at us from the direction of a Yellow house, at the address 5617 E. Swan Creek Dr., at the corner of 57th St.

Easy trail with some stairs and switchbacks for elevation changes. Not at all crowded. Trail has eroded to only a few inches wide in a couple of places.

Great urban park, heavy tree cover and narrow canyon, you almost forget you are in Tacoma... Almost... Then you see a bit of graffiti. Overall a great refuge from the city and one can feel safe enough.

No cars on the roads! Sometimes service members are there with vehicles but they drive slowly and are aware of little riders. Pristine kept trails and its a beautiful place to take your family and not worry about cars.

Really cool park with long, winding trails that follow the creek. Theres a section with plenty of paved trails for those who arent into the occasional mud, and a community garden with folks working on their crops whenever the weather is nice. Im always amazed that there arent more people on this trail.

My favorite quick hiking spot. Its close to town but feels like youre away from it all. A single dirt trail takes you next to the creek. Its got some decent small hills. It can get a little muddy, but the beauty makes up for it. It can feel a little crowded on some days if you like solitude.

Love the creek. Not a begginer hike to the creek. It is a challenge. And when you get down to the creek, their are alot of climbing over stuff and getting your feet wet. The zig zag down, does take a toll on the body, if not use to that kind of trail. But so worth the experince.

Many things to do. Mountain bike park with miles of trails for all skill levels. A 2.3 mile hike through the canyon with a seasonal stream. Half of it goes dry in the summer. Paved old roads that are fun for casual bike riding and stroller pushing. And a dog park coming in about 2 years.

Easily accessible in south Tacoma. Great mix of flowy XC and a few freeride trails mixed in. Ground Control & Major Tom are the longer freeeride trails. There are a few other shorter ones on the southern edge of clearing. Also there is a pump track and some drops you can practice on. Fun place but if you’re looking for a long ride, may have to look elsewhere.

Awesome mountain biking park. Great black diamond trails with some decent 3, 4, 6 and 8 foot gap jumps. Has a beginner training area, and lots of of space for newbies and advanced riders. The green trails are windy and lengthy enough to make it feel like you are truly doing cross country.

For the past three years, Ive run most days of the week at Swan Creek Park, which is quieter than most city parks and super close to my house. Lately the number of horribly trained off leash dogs in the park has increased significantly. Lots of run ins with pesky dogs when Im simply trying to enjoy some exercise. Six weeks ago my dogs and I were pretty brutally attacked by two large off leash dogs while in the middle of a 20 mile run. The owner could not get control of them and I ended up on the ground with one of the dogs on top of me, continuing to try to attack my dog. A friend of mine took her dog to run and an offleash dog attacked her dog in the parking lot! So beware. I would not run here without my dogs and now Im hesitant to run there with them. There are always sketch people in the parking lot by the community garden. I just pretend I dont see things on some days. People will pull up in their cars and just dump gross old junk food wrappers into the parking lot. Meanwhile, nice families with kids are working in the garden. There is a real juxtaposition here. This park is a great resource to the community and has a lot of unique features (mountain bike trails and obstacle course, five miles of running/hiking trails, a cool little creek) but people abuse the privilege and create some real safety issues to be aware of. It really is a shame to see as a member of the South Tacoma community.

30 years ago this trail was a dump. Discarded tires and refrigerators lay in the creek. Then volunteers cleaned the place up for metro parks. It was cool to have somewhat rugged trails near the city. Now, homeless are sleeping in their cars at the trailhead and leaving trash behind. Come on people.

This is my newest favorite spot in Tacoma to feel like Im out in the wild backwoods. Once you get down into the park there are great trails. There is a considerable incline decline. When you round a bend and the forest opens up below you, you are essentially in the treetops. Down by the base is Creek.

A good 5 Mile loop in the city limits. See salmon in the fall, garter snakes and an occasional stoner. Good amount of elevation gain over course in and out. Escape to quiet nature and listen to heavy equipment across the Creek about half way point from gravel pit mining. Still a good workout and some solitude here.

The coolest thing about this park is the abandoned neighborhood behind the newer Salishan development. There are paved streets, an occasional curb or foundation remnant, but the whole area has been reclaimed by the forest. Great for walking or bike riding (therere mountain bike trails in the back), never crowded, and super-cool for a visit on a foggy morning. Watch out for the GIANT anthills!

Great place for those of all ages.I definitely recommend a visit to this beautiful park. It offers plenty of trails. Theres a small creek that runs through the bottom half of the park. I really love this place. But recently theres been some shady people hanging around. Most time its so peaceful and trails & cool rocks & the creek is so clean & nice. I only hope the people leaving garbage, dog poo, etc, dont ruin it for those who enjoy this place. By making it not accessible to the public. Wonderful spot to go especially on hot days!
