It is beautiful! A fabulous place to take photos! The only reason it didnt get 5 stars is you have to step over large barricades to get down to the river.
Had amazing time with my man I love you josh
You better lock your car and be there only for the scenery and not to MEET a FRIEND
Peoples Park Parking Lot is a great jump off point to all kinds of trails, both along the Spokane River, and Latah Creek. When Im downtown and need a quick adventure with my puppy dog between appointments or errands, this is one of the top choices. We can go for a 20 minute romp or two hour exploration, and anything in between. There is usually plenty of parking (except maybe on hot summer weekends) and its out in the open and less secluded then other choices from a security standpoint. Theres a long stretch of paved pathway from the foot of the pedestrian bridge on the south bank, acrossed the river and winding up to the top of the hill on the north bank. This pathway also connects up with the paved pathways of the Kendall Yard development and Summit Blvd. Because of the switchbacks that hillside is relatively easy going exercise. Besides the paved there are plenty of dirt trails to choose from in all directions. Most of them are on the level and require pretty moderate physical exertion.
Nice park. Lots of people!! Nice hiking area.
Fun place to go swimming!
The Spokane river is always an adventure! The trails are wonderful... The sound of the river is very peaceful.. make sure to bring something soft to sit on!!! I always forget and rocks hurt the bones when you forget the time lol...
If youre looking for a place to go for a good walk and you want some be by the river a little time and nature its a great place to go and walk. Its a relaxing place to me.
I don’t know why so many people associate the homeless with a scary place. I come here alone with my dogs and am always just fine. Even the so called “vagrants” will wave and give you directions if you need it. Don’t listen to the judgemental posts, it’s a beautiful place for adults and kids
Beautiful views. Able to get close to the river. Nice trails
Lots of creepy older dudes in cars at night time...and they drive between 3 parking lots which makes it creepy to enjoy a nice night hike...on top of that there is a abundance of homeless people and crack heads everywhere.
Beautiful Park however there is a stigma about the homeless that stay around that area though
This area has lots of paths to walk and the river is always beautiful. However, there ia a history of homeless camps and it is not a place to walk by yourself, even with a dog.
A good place to launch your tubes. Just cross the bridge and there is a nice beach.
There is parking and the adjoining park is worth a look very nice views of the Spokane river there is lots of litter and quite a bit of the homeless but the trails are easy and the river is easily accessible with lots of little hidey holes so you can sit with a date or your kids in a semi private area
Enjoyed walking across walking bridge with my daughter. Put a lock with names and date on fence crossing the river. Easy access .
Had so much fun exploring with the kids!
Great fish
Its nice to have such a big parking area. A nice spot to relax and enjoy being close to the water.
Love this place its worth pulling over and walking over the bridge, the raging water is magnificent, true masterpiece views around every curve of the river!!!! Breathtaking ten stars
While there is a scenic view of the river and a bridge, the crowd here is a collective of degenerate, multi-culturalists. Safe passage is likely for the average hipster, or disc-golf enthisiast. Though truth be told, this is NOT THE PLACE TO GO if you KEEP YOUR JEANS HIGH and TIGHT.
Lovely view
Usually pretty packed
Interesting place to meet interesting people
I am able to enjoy self love in my truck and not get bothered
Beautiful area
Super pretty
Great river spot
Real fun and dont cost a dime get a little exercise in and see the sites
Yea you can park cars here its legit but crackheads love to sleep here in stolen Honda civics just a heads up
When not under construction and half paved/half dirt there are frequently vagrants smoking/drinking out of their vehicles here.
Did u know theres asecret nude beach
This areas so sketchy lol. Dont go here.
Big lots of trails but not much of anything anywhere
Fun place to start floating.
Its a half gravel half asphalt space. No marked spots. Basically a dirt lot.
.Fun times exploring amongst the trails
Its near home near nature
Cool place to chill out to walk
Great views
Nice place to go walking
Not a good place for your kids or children. Lots of scary weirdos!
