The kids enjoyed playing here. Plenty of shade on a hot day. Im disabled and use a walker and was easily able to get into the park. There was some garbage from some food bank food but thats not the parks fault. Me and Park neighbor cleaned it up. The park is obviously taken care of tho.
I will always have fond memories of this park for we bought our first home in the area. It has changed some but for the better our grandsons had a blast on the playground equipment and some of the trees are big enough now to play a good game of hid and seek. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the garbage in play area. There are fast food restaurants close by and as we had done a couple of times, go pickup lunch and take it to the park only we put our garbage in the garbage cans that are provided. The neighborhood looks like it is being refurbished after years of neglect hopefully the residents will do a little park policing and keep this park a great place for families.
It was clean. I didnt see trash scattered and the homes were well I eat around the park. Small but nice.
Fun place to take the kids. 1 basketball hoop. Few play structures. Restrooms are closed due to COVID-19
Great place for a day with family and friends! Go enjoy the surrounding z! Your family & friends will thank you for the opportunity to live, laugh and love the environment...BRING ON A LARGER THAN LIFE
Some play equipment is just ran down and even dangerous. Im going to contact the citys park and rec department and let them know about the danger.
This is one of the parks I grew up in and has been a favorite place to relax and have lunch or meet friends. The old-growth trees offer glimpses of what the forest consisted of pre-development.
Its a hidden gem off the Division (Hwy 2) corridor. A great place to take a kid friendly break. Its near a McDonald, Burger King, several Asian restaurants, and KFC. If you want a picnic there is no need to prep. {Snicker}
This is a Park you will want to adventure and play at everyday for the summer and springs to come! A nice hidden landscape off of HighWay 2 secluded only to the people who still do not know about this Gem. A Big Thank You to the dedicated Spokane County Parks and Rec and the Landscape team that keeps up on the cleanliness, toys and water splash pads and maintenance upon our parks just like this one!!
Nice park well kept
Great] place, swings and picnic benches
Had my niece party there. Has an overhang but have to grab it before everyone else though
Really like this place
Good to get back to a normal time
Quite clean park
Nice little park!
This is a great park with 2 playgrounds for the kids. The city needs to work on getting the park more secure at night (motion activated ultra-bright LED lights after 10:30pm). A nice addition would be a small splash pad on the west end of the park.
Love going there with my Grandson. Had fun
Its a good park for the most part it could use more swings for the kids...
Amazing park.
Plenty of room to run and play, close to home, and they have restrooms!
Great park
Really great for young kids under 10
Felt. Very. Safe and even able to hook up our. Music that day for our picnic .
Nice place to spend time with kids and play volleyball.
This is a great little neighborhood park. I drive by frequently on my way to and from work. Saturday my best friend and I had some time to kill so we decided to sit at the park and watch kids play. There is a lot of shade to sit on a sunny day. The pavillion was nice with a few tables and a bbq. Lots of grass for running around. I pften see dogs being walked and people just chilling. Thank you for keeping it up. We need places like these.
Great park with a splash pad and a covered patio to barbecue under.

Historic park and site of Spokanes first official gang. Lilac City Posses (LCP) old stomping ground. From 1989 to 1995 was most dangerous neighborhood in Spokane untill Friends dispersed. Members Jerry, Bob (Bubba), Joe, Jenny, Todd, Tim, Jason, JoJo, Chrissy, Sean, Paul, Mike, Nick, Byron, Gabe, Rosylin, Donnie, Jimbo, Scottie, Joe, Crazy Sean, Richard, Janette, Tony, Rob, Greg(peeto), Tony, Marci, Chad, Amy and others. Many years later around 2000/01 local residents had a take back the park event. So far its been successful and the park is very safe and nice. Byrnes Park and sister Clark Park of Spokane are truly cherished by all local residents and tourists. Windstorm 2015 made thier mark, trees fell, and the damage is being repaired.
