This is one of Spokanes best kept secrets. If youre not from Browns Addition, then you probably dont know about it, but for a medium-small park its got a really nice atmosphere and its a good neighborhood even though its basically downtown. You cant miss Elkfest though. Its the highlight of the year. Tons of great well crafted objects, clothing and one of a kind items. Its worth checking out.

Coeur dAlene Park in Spokane brownes addition is one of my favorite places to visit. What were the years I have seen the neighborhood change for good and for bad but overall the local residents are willing to stand up take control of their community and willing to make it a better place, including the park and all the others around. Around Coeur dAlene Park is a wonderful place to walk the neighborhood and view the old style houses and neighborhood from the past, that help Spokane and community to be this great place that we live in. All United makes one stronger. You are only as strong as your next-door neighbor. So go out in your neighborhood andget to know your neighbors, make some good connections and build a stronger community through the networking of connections you provide yourself with.

I love this beautiful park for many reasons. Its a piece if nature nestled right in with a historic neighborhood rich with character. Many of the Old homes of Spokanes wealthy founders look just as they did 100 years ago, as if frozen in a time untouched by technology and the fast paced chaos that consumes the quiet. Original cobblestone can even be seen on the surrounding streets. I love this park for an unconventional reason, as well, however. It gives those in our community who lack a permanent home a place to be. To have a place to just exist without being told you dont belong here, whether spoken or implied, is a human necessity. I know many see the homeless population as a nuisance or a problem to eradicate, so they treat them as such. Of course they act rude back then. Try not to act as if you own the park and stop treating people like they are litter; something unsightly to toss out. Im in that park everyday and I consciously make an effort to smile and greet anyone who comes across my path and I have met wonderful survivors of the human condition that make the park their place of sanctuary. They just happen to be homeless. They even watch out for me now when I walk my dog at night. Yes, theres always a few bad apples but thats true for any group of people. Bottom line is, just enjoy this park and embrace the colorfulness of the characters who make up our community down here in Browns Addition. Walk down the parks paths without judgment and just simply BE. Lifes colorful. Appreciate the diversity of the art that is us.

Couer dAlene Park is just another of Spokanes charming parks that anchor a surrounding historic neighborhood. It creates the heart of Brownes Addition and features a large and decorative gazebo in the center., not to mention: a playground, swings, a tennis court, bathroom facilities, picnic tables and benches, and a large splash pad for the kids (seasonal).

Beautiful and great park. Lots of areas to picnic and play basketball with a friend; there is a small water park, playground equipment, bathrooms, lots of beautiful pine trees and shade, grass well maintained, free summer concerts, activities during the summer for the kids put on by local agencies for free, a grocery store and laundry nearby along with restaurants and pubs, gas stations, and churches; this park is surrounded by gorgeous old homes, mansions, and plenty of apartments; this park is family and dog friendly ... a good place to spend the day, take a walk, stroll with a dog, and meet up with old friends to shoot the breeze.

I tried taking our family to this park, again, the other day, just to leave after 20 minutes. The people that are constantly there are enough to make your skin crawl, and I am NOT speaking of the homeless! These are the other parents. The toys arent worth it. There is a splash pad and rest rooms. There is a gazebo. But its just not a park we feel safe at.

If you like the smell of heroin being smoked and homeless surrounding you this is the place for you other than that i gave a 3 star because it does have bbq pits around the place and an excellent play area for kids and if your like me and watch your kids like a hawk the homeless dont mess with you the keep to them selves. So all in all it can be a good time.

The park was wonderful. Both spacious and clean, the park features a very nice water area where kids can have fun for hours. Three different play sets. (Swings, a big kid set that was capable of supporting me and my two kids [Im not light], and a tiny tots area.)A concert or wedding type gazebo and bbq pits and tables. Lastly basketball court off behind the parks main features. The bathroom area was actually very clean and the tree coverage made the park feel cooler then anywhere else.My two complaints:1) The water that sprayed was so cold it was a little extreme. Not sure if they can even help that. Just go when its hot if you wanna use the water for sure.2) The sensory for the water got a bit annoying. When the kids played it would randomly shut off certain spots and the kids would just sit and try to get them on again.

I come here if I have time to kill innSpoksne. Its a nice park in historical Browns Addition. It has a nice play area for the kids big park for gatheribgs, and even a unique Gazebo for shelter. I enjoyed my time at this park paying under a tree on a sunny day reading a book. I could hear kids laughing, adults playing Frisbee, and squrills roaming around. It was like a scene out of a book or movie. Infact each time Ive come to this park its very much like a pleasant scene from a story.
