Gross! all your normie friends might say. Truth be told, I loved this place. Its unstaffed with a handful of visitors, so you may be tempted to add your contribution to the wall, fortunately the attitude really is to go for it!Everyone was super nice and chill, even saw a few fellow photographers snapping the place too!

I give the Lysol needed.... The Gum Wall loacted at 1428 Post Alley, Seattle, WA 98101 FIVE STINKY STARS. WEAR A MASK. Its quite something to see when visiting Seattle, but I got to tell you that it smells like vomit and it looks like a bunch of birds just went wild on these walls. In reality its just a bunch of people that enjoy placing their gum allllllllll over this alley. S This spot would be the #1 spot to be screaming TJ style. Chiclets! Chiclets! Chiclets! As they are sold.

This little alley on a curve right by Pikes Place Market was such a cool, and super gross find!Just happened upon it while changing levels inside Pikes Place Market, at first I saw all this cool graffiti and a coffee shop (take out only, wear a mask, Covid friendly) to the left. Then all these people scurrying to the right in this shaded alley pulled me towards them. As you get closer, there it is - thousands and thousands of pieces of chewed gum stuck on the wall! Some pulled like taffy, some making letters, all of it icky, and gross and somehow fascinating! Definitely worth checking out when in the area

Really cool iconic thing to do in Seattle. Yes its a little freaky and gross but I HAD to do it while I was in town. Really cool photo spot and its right under the market so theres a ton of things to do around it. You can access this via stairs or street ramp so anyone can get there. If you go early enough you can get photos with no one in them. Nice trendy coffee shop and pub right by it.

Free attraction to visit. Though it maybe strange that all this gum on the wall can be so popular. It is a very interesting place to visit. It can become crowded quickly. I would suggest going to Pikes Place Market and then going here next as it is easier to access from Pikes Place. Also it is a few minutes walk to the Waterfront and Seattle Aquarium.

This area is actually pretty smaller than I thought. Its a bit off-putting when youre standing next to it bc of the smell. I dont know that I loved this place, but all of that gum was simply fascinating. And it was kinda cool watching the bees trying to get at the sugar in the gum. It was worth the effort to find the wall (which is really an ally of gum - as high as people can reach with a step stool). Enjoy.

An amazing contribution to art. Some may say it is odd, or gross, but I believe the wall here makes a loud statement. If anything it should be viewed as a form of unity. People come from all over the place to see this gum wall and i saw nothing but smiles and laughter. The world needs more areas like this in it. It was a nice break away from the overbearing city feel that seattle has. There are also amazing photo opportunities here as well.

Have you been through this gum alley and stopped to see the creative artwork? Its a fascinating experience as one goes down a small narrow ancient stair, below the south end of the market. On a beautiful sunny day its filled with tourists speaking many different languages in a relatively confined alley, one hardly can miss it. The canvas stretches from brick, plaster, window sills, louvers, poor gas meter and even street signs. Its an experience as long as ones business does not front this decorated alley.

This defines Seattle today. Its a dump where people spit out their gum or whatever waste they need to dump. The city smells of urine. There is trash everywhere. This isnt a safe place to be. Its very sad to see a city that is such a miserable place. I cannot believe that people are so uncaring about the place they live.

Review №84

Honestly kind of gross now. It used to be one big wall covered with gum and now its an entire alley way covered back and forth with gum. Bugs and flies EVERYWHERE, not the greatest smell, and its kinda sketchy in general. Unless youve got a booming event in Seattle around this area where it seems like the place to be its really just a mugging hazard waiting to happen. I recommend going with a friend during the day and watch where you step.

It’s cool for teens but it’s quite disgusting. Right now, I DO NOT suggest going to Pikes Place Market of Seattle. Our car was broken into in the middle of the day with people all around. We were told it’s constantly happening & Seattle has the highest auto theft and vandalism right now.

I will reiterate, dont touch anything, lol. The ally smells nice tough, like gum.

What can I say, its an alley with gum on the walls. So much gum. Has a particular smell, too. Its free to see and you just walk by and there it is. I felt zero emotions seeing this wall, but I also feel like everyone should see it. Its like exactly what you think. Go!
