This is just one of the most amazing things to see in WA! I love bringing guests here and it never disappoints. The old tunnels from the fort are fun and Hawk Hill is just beautiful. It is amazing to realize you are above GG Bridge - and on certain foggy days, you are above the fog and can see the tips of the bridge.

Lovely lake spot for swimming or bringing a paddle board. Picnic tables in the shade too. Everyone was masked up and giving each other space. Parking below is limited and only street residential parking is left. Decent hill on the walk down and back, its pretty much what everyone did. Pack light (;

Seward Park is hands down the nicest Park in Seattle, and there are many to choose from. Feeling blessed to live here and be able to use it. Unfortunately the Parks Dept and the City/ SDOT have continuous, neverending large scale utility projects and block access to the park and the bathroom for a seemingly neverending amount of time. Contractors park their big trucks there and use it as a holding area I suppose. Also, the new Torii gate is an architectural calamity, luckily by poor design itll rot out by itself, surely faster than complaining to the City folks about it.

Such a beautiful park with great views and calm surroundings. If you dont want a crowded place and actually want to relax, take a walk, read a book or just spend time with your loved one, this is the right place for you. Theres good view of mt. Rainier, but you have to be lucky to see the mountain from anywhere. Loved the place, will definitely come back. Huge parking lots are right outside the park.

Vast,nifty and pleasant park with many different areas and a rich history. This place is huge. A few sources peg the dimensions at 3mi from Stanyan to the ocean and 1/2 mi wide,which gives us about 1.5 square miles. At 625 acres to a square mile,that would be 937.5 acres... Other sources list GG park at 1017 acres,maybe they include the panhandle in their measurements. Who knows? Lets just agree on big park.

Considering COVID-19 is keeping things at a minimum however, my family and I were able to find a spot close to the water and far enough away from other groups of people. They city blocked off the parks parking lot to probably cut down on congestion and traffic issues. Mask mandates didnt prevent people from enjoying themselves even while wearing them.

Seward Park is a municipal park which covers 300 acres (120 ha; 0.47 sq mi). It is located in southeast Seattle, Washington, U.S.A in the neighborhood of the same name. The park occupies all of Bailey Peninsula, a forested peninsula that juts into Lake Washington. It contains one of the last surviving tracts of old-growth forest within the city of Seattle. The park is named for U.S. Secretary of State William Seward.

Atmosphere was awesome! Great Walk around took approximately 2 hrs. too explore. Plus it extended another 1hr. going to Lake Manoor. Stopped there and turned around due to closure of Park & Recs rules. Closed til 8:00pm! Have to obey the rules given or they will completely shut the park down. Long walk to the parked vehicles, only allowed disability personnel to have privilege to park. Regular civilians have to park on the streets due to Covid-19. The pandemic is real, there are many signs saying keep moving forward. We could walk, seen people with skateboard, bicycles, tricycle, roller blading around the whole park. Around the whole park approx. 2 hrs. Around the house toward Lake Manoor another hour or so. Very pleasant, beautiful and much much cooler than North Seattle Green Lake. Closer to many fishermen around the pier. Wild Geese, Wild Rabbits, seen birds, an owl and many other tiny creatures roaming around the park. Very Beautiful. Also at the end there are restrooms around the park. Only one open is at the main entrance with nice playground park for the children. There a beach, but off limits til, this pandemic gets resolve. Over all, nice place for casual walks, walk with Family, with pets as long as they have a leash, definte plus, running and/ or jogging. Absolute Beautiful!

The park is good and spacious, well maintained, full of kids and joggers on a sunny day, but our car was broken in the parking. This park has extensive parking around the drivable loop in the peninsula area. We parked in a parking along with more than 10 other cars at 2:00pm ish. Went for a jog, came back around 3:15pm to find the passenger window shattered, glove box open, storage boxes open. Clearly the culprit was looking for cards/IDs/phones. My shades were intact in box, but the glove box holding it, was open and the shades case exposed. When we were cleaning up the shattered glasses, there a car passing by every 10sec literally, still how can such a theft happen in broad daylight, is puzzling me.

Review №55

The 2.8 mile walking/bike trail around the peninsula in the park is the best spot for clocking in those 10,000 steps. The pathway is just steps from Lake Washington, shaded by towering trees. In certain seasons, eagles are perched on the trees at the northern point of the park, and in summer you can watch the rowing teams from the nearby Mt Baker Rowing Center working out. Parking can get tight on weekends and nice summer days, but there are good restrooms and some nice picnic areas too.

Great Park for walking and beautiful Scenery. My low rating was due to the detail work that some thugs in the neighborhood did to my windshield trying to steal something out of my car! They also busted out the windshields of several other cars close by! This is my first time dealing with shenanigans of this nature in the area.The good news is that the Police did leave a card on my windshield and a case# as a reference. So within a ~60-90 minute time frame they where called and in the area.

There are interior trails through an old growth forest, as well as a trail around the exterior of the forest that follows the water. All are lovely and maintained well.
