This place is very interesting and it has a lot of stores around it. We walked a lot and even found a street with our last name on it. I enjoyed this place and it is a must visit if you ever go to Seattle. My wife is a shop a holic and she bought all kinds of things and I must confess so did I.

Total tourist trap, but for good reason. Pikes can get a bad reputation by locals, but the dirty secret is that locals and Seattle transplants actually enjoy Pikes just like the tourists. This is because its one of the most lively parts of Seattle with hundreds of vendors and often thousands of people walking around on the weekend. Ive been several times and I somehow always find myself wandering somewhere or seeing something new and interesting. In the summer, the market can be overwhelmingly crowded. The crowds and police are around, but make sure you keep your guard up and be aware, as there always seems to be quite a few homeless people lurking around here. One time I saw a homeless man sprint and start pounding the back window of a car with a child in his car seat. The police were standing there and hundreds of people just watching doing nothing.. text book Bystander Effect. Dont want to scare anyone but if youre visiting from out of town, you need to know Pikes isnt always the safest. You should definitely visit though because you honestly havent visited Seattle without stopping at Pikes Place.

Pike Place Market is a public market in Seattle, just a stones throw away from Starbucks. It opened on August 17, 1907, and is one of the oldest continuously operated public market.

I was pleasantly surprised by the vast options here! Even though it had a lot of hustle and bustle and amount of taken tables, I didnt feel overwhelmed. The lines for different restaurants didnt take too long, and there were still places to sit for my group of 3. It is quite loud in there, so I probably wouldnt have a first date there. But definitely a place to check out! Happy hour options in here too.

By the time we arrive the market was closed. So we parked in front of a hotel and just took a photo. The valet was nice enough to not make us move. I would love to go back to actually visit the market. My mom had seen it on TV and so I kinda fulfilled her wish to go there.

What a great open market. Lots of people selling their unique products, tons of beautiful flower bouquets for next to nothing, bakeries, Farmers Market and of course the seafood. A large shrimp cocktail package for you to go for lunch is $20 huge. Love to walk around this Market, anything and everything you would want is here. Id be here at least twice a week if I lived here.

One of the best public markets in the states!! They had a wide range of flowers, vegetables, meat and various kinds of pasta and many more. Be prepared to walk around and come in comfortable shoes!! Be an early bird for parking. It’s hard to find parking after 9am make sure to come early. Must watch the fish catch. You can try various food items around. Be patient!!

The famous public market in Seattle. A huge number of fish, vegetables, fruits, flowers, shops, everything - everything. And naturally a huge number of people. Interesting place. Especially see and, if possible, buy seafood, from fish to crabs. Well, or sit here in a restaurant and try it all. Significant place.

Like most markets, this was full of crowded people trying to get by and others who were trying to get a picture of this sign. Maybe it’s because I’m not from here but it was basically a seafood market but it’s definitely a tourist trap. Supposedly a must see but I’m sure many markets look like this just without the sign
