Best kept secret. Clean, Sandy, and grassy beach with wide drop off for smaller kids to enjoy with parents and older kids can swim and play with lifeguard chairs set about 25ft apart. Big grassy area to lay down, dry off, picnic or just enjoy the beautiful, friendly wildlife. Plus, clean and accessible showers and restrooms. Also lots of benches n tables passed the playground with bbq grills.

Nice beach! First time experience here was for the Polar Bear Plunge. I would love to visit here for the summer for sure! They have showers and lockers available inside the restrooms. Parking is ample but can get right for events like the plunge. I noticed people just parked all along the street, right squeeze tho since narrow roads. Overall such a beautiful park and beach. The play area has a variety for kids to enjoy.

My favorite beach in Seattle! Nestled upon the shores of fresh-water Lake Washington, this beautiful Park offers Splendid unrestricted panoramic vistas of both the lake and the Cascade mountain range. What a beautiful spot to enjoy our beautiful Northwest sunrises!!

Loved visiting this beach park. Parking spots are fairly limited but you can park on the street a little further away and walk to this park if the designated parking spots get filled up. This park has atleast 1-2 miles of walking trails with lush greenery all around the walking trails. Kids have a play area ik one corner of the park.

It really is really beautiful here! BUT...they closed the parking lots like AFTER the pandemic passed. They also locked the bathrooms...not uncommon...BUT...it makes no sense whatsoever that they replaced them with a couple of porter potties. Dont bother going in them. Theyre both full, havent been replaced in at least two months and can be smelt from like a mile away. Good job, Seattle City Government.

Im lucky to have this gem of a park in my neighborhood. Its quite quiet and peaceful if you visit during the colder months. Crowded in the summer since families tend to come here to swim. I love the view here. It has a good amount of parking spaces too.

An excellent beach park thats great for families. One side of the park has a lot of duck poop, as mentioned in other reviews but the other side is cleaner.Theres the usual play area for kids, basketball, small trails, restrooms, picnic spots. The highlight is the small beach with great views. I would recommend on a summer evening to jump into the water! We found parking very easily on the 4th of July in the evening but I think it may get crowded.

This is a classic neighborhood park growing up in N Seattle. Seemed so much bigger as a kid. Good sized neighborhood park, and beach front to enter Lake Washington. Bathrooms are closed since Covid so there are portable toilets only. I stil use this park as a good stopping point on the Burke Gilman.

A reborn post-apocalyptic scene with tall, unkepted grass, weeds strewn about. Small gatherings of people on blankets enjoying the watery scene as Canadian Geese woddle about. A refreshing change of pace on the once overly busy park where it was hard to sometimes find a place to sit. A good place to pit stop off of the bike trail or even drive to for a little RnR.

Lovely park, great place to bike, play or walk a dog. The beach is pretty, with a great view over the lake, the playground is excellent, with lots of play equipment for older kids and younger kids alike. There are swings, slides, a merry-go-round, a zip-line, and more. The trails are beautiful as well.

The park is well maintained, nice and quite. Besides of the kids’ playground, there’s also a basketball hoop stand, grass field, barbecue area, bike trail and a beach for swimming and boating as well. The restroom is close by the beach. Great for everyone! The only thing I dislike is bird poop everywhere.

Im biased. Grew up swimming here. But they have kept it up and expanded it beautifully... although theres not much sand width to the beach area and I miss the trees that once lined and shaded close to the beach. Nice play area for kids. Bathroom left open all winter!! (Someone has some brains.) Lots of space/grass to play and wooded trails to walk.

This place was covered in so much geese poop that you literally couldnt find a spot to walk/sit on that was clear. The parking was fine when we went but I could tell that on a busy summer day it would be extremely limited. Also there wasnt any sandy beach area really. If there was less poop I would have rated it higher but I had to follow my son so closely to make sure he wasnt picking it up, crawling on it, trying to eat it, etc.

Went with my friends-- a little offshore there is a platform with diving boards on it. Theres a lot of kelp in the water but it is like 7 feet down so you wont get tangled in it unless you want to. The beach is gravelly and there is a shower station not far from the beach. There is also a playground nearby, with swings, slides, and monkey bars. Is accessible by foot, bike, or car. Many paved trails nearby, with many blackberries in the summer. 5/5 would totally recommend to others! Great place for a picnic.

A nice beach on Lake Washington with a bath house and great playground. There is a raft for diving, with lifeguards present for safety. The parking is limited and is definitely a problem when its nice outside. There is also a large amount of goose poop in the grassy areas which limits the picnic space. The bath house is not well maintained and is often quite often a mess. In spite of the few downsides, its a great place for a family outing. The water is usually warm enough to swim, there is plenty of area to throw down a blanket where the geese havent been, and kids of all ages can find an activity that interests them.
