Freeway park......home to sum, hang out to others. The park goes through phases. Sometimes the place is where you would take your grandparents on a Sunday afternoon walk. But if you hit it on the downside. Its a fast paced walk all the while hoping the random bums dont try and ask for money.

Free park. Its very nice park. Thats Nestled smack dab in the middle of the city. Not much of a grassy area but big enough to get a foot ball game going or let the kids run around and burn some energy. The city has plans to remodel of the whole park in the near future. A place were a person could easily lean back agenst a tree and take a nape.

Beautiful park with a good amount of space to explore/walk through. ESPECIALLY worth a trip in the evening times during the winter. The way they hang lights from EVERY tree in the park coupled with the break-taking colors they choose makes it quite a magical experience just slowly strolling through with a good friend or two.

Loved this place! The architecture is so cool, reminds me a bit of the Keller fountain in Portland, but without the water. What a great idea to slap a park on top of a freeway! Only in the northwest would they come up with something like this. Chances are pretty good that youll encounter some homeless but I mean its a major city, whaddayagonnado.

One of my very most favorite parks in the city! It covers the i-5 lid, as well as part of the roof of the convention center! Its a big concrete maze of trails coming out at many different spots around three edges of the park stretching from 9th and Pike, first Hill, two Union square and many more! Lots of steps to climb too! Such a beautiful park.. it also has a window looking into the freeway tunnel so you can see the traffic speeding past you!

Its a really cool space m. Kinda remindsnmemof Escher and/or the scene at the end of Labyrinth where David Bowie is walking around the floating bits of the destroyed castle. I do wish some of the tweakers would make more of an effort to make it a an area where everyone felt comfortable. I think a lot of squares dont even have a chance to notice the coolness of the architecture because theyre so focused on *head down* getting the hell through the place as quickly as possible and a lot of the time I dont blame them. Theres maybe a larger conversation to be had around that that Im not sure fits well here in Google reviews. But who knows, maybe it could? Maybe it has to. I dont exactly hear that conversation taking place anywhere else...

I love Freeway Park. When Im downtown and need a break or to eat my lunch I will walk over to the freeway park and hangout. Its a lovely and surprisingly quiet little nook right in the heart of the city. Its nice to just unwind and breathe for a minute and Freeway Park is definitely the place to do it if you cant get out of downtown. There are a couple of different sections to go to as well with chairs and tables to sit at.

I LOVE Freeway Park! I would come here often to hangout with friends, walk around the neighborhood, or take photos, and Ive seen so many cool things happening here. Theres been people shooting a music video, someone proposing, huge tours of vans-full of people, and prom group photos being taken. Its truly an awesome place to come for tourists and locals.Parking around here can be a little difficult because it is located in a residential area, so the crowded tiny roads can be hard to navigate through. Its never been too much of an issue, because the Queen Anne neighborhood is great for strolling around. The houses in the area are beautiful. Freeway Park is the spot that photos are taken for postcards, so you know the view is going to be outstanding. With the space needle in the back and city in the background, its a cool place to come to see all of the city of Seattle.

So its a park in Seattle. If youre from Seattle you probably know what Im talking about. This one has some interesting concrete structures. It is a very beautiful Park. However concrete artwork tends to provide a lot of privacy for people who spend a lot of time in the park. Consequently you wont get through the park without seeing at least 20 or 30 needles. But hey if you stay away from the needles you can still enjoy the scenery and the exercise Hep free.

The park was good and lots of concrete areas and some grassy areas watch out for people smoking near bridges with marijuana reefer. The park doesnt really have any restrooms that I can tell so you may want to visit the restroom before you entered the park unless you want to break the law and defecate the ground. all in all you get a nice breeze from the interstate and probably some manufactured are circulating pumps in the tunnels underneath the park. watch out there are stairs and different levels and ramps everywhere in the park.

Interesting little park! Pretty small and very different from what you’d normally think of parks but it’s a cool and unique little area between all the buildings in Seattle. Beautiful park that winds around under the freeway in the middle of downtown Seattle. Theres even a waterfall canyon thats pretty and refreshing. In addition, if youre so inclined, you can see the cars going through the freeway tunnel behind one of the waterfalls in the canyon. A must-see. The stairs and ramps that lead out of the park are lined with water and water features as it winds down the hill from the hospital area above and east of the park.

The park meant to defeat a barrier became a barrier itself, how ironic. When the weather is nice, sketchy people absent, and refuse gone, the nooks and crannies can actually seem inviting as designed to be small recluses from city life, especially the stairs down the tall waterfall.Definitely a parkour landmark. Avoid at dark. Generally stay in well traveled sections.

When are they going to do something about the transients using drugs and going to the bathroom here? This wasnt much of a problem when we first moved here and now there are tents out there! Sheesh, I understand people are down on their luck sometimes, but these dont seem to be the kind of people who are just going through a hard time. These are the kinds of people who choose to live this way because they love drugs too much, and they harass people as theyre just trying to walk through the park! I dont feel comfortable even walking through there alone in the daytime anymore! Ive had people follow me, and I certainly cant feel any sympathy for people looking for that kind of trouble! They need to be driven out ASAP!

One star off each for; homeless people everywhere, needles, human feces, and hordes of rats.On a side note, why does a person going for a walk get kicked out of the parks at night while the homeless don’t? It is nice to have greenery in the city especially since it is right above the highway making the noise less so. Freeway park isnt really the best place for kids to play in but not a bad place to step outside when you are cramped in the convention center building and want to stretch your arms.HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS: There is an elevator inside the convention center, just know that some of the roads, particularly on the Boren/Pike side is steep or have stairs. When it does snow and ice over, the park doesnt get a lot of attention and ice buildup will be on the paths.
