Where the neighbors go for walks. Modest water/mountain views. Lots of dogs running around. The trail in between upper and lower park can be sketchy due to campers. Restrooms closed in the winter.

Really beautiful park to walk through, a nice wooded path, with a few grassy open areas and beautiful views at the top. Benches for a picknick. The open grassy areas tend to usually be pretty quiet and relaxing. The dog park at the bottom of the path is also great!! Its usually been very slow, with not many to no dogs, if your pup isnt the most comfortable around others. Only thing I would dock it on is there are tons of homeless tents and people living in the park area in the wooded, pretty much right off the walking path..... But in their defense most of the set up camps are unbelievably well kept and free of overflowing garbage. I used to volunteer to clean abandoned homeless camps 6 years ago and man if they were all like the ones I saw today, It would have been great.

Just your basic Seattle park inhabited by some of the citys most experienced homeless. Most picturesque views are obstructed by trees or apartment buildings. 95% of the time the restrooms are locked! This is not a park for children unless youre punishing them or plan to pawn/trade them with one of the residents.

This park has great potential!Fairly large public space / park.Several lookout spots with benches and a few picnic tables.Full sized tennis court and a small off leash dog area. Some spots inside this park are very well maintained.Others are neglected. On my last visit I noticed a few areas with lots of trash / clothing items / rubbish within close proximity to the few homeless tents that look to have been set up for quite some time now.The dog park can get quite muddy in the rainy months. No restrooms and only street parking at the top entrance with very limited parking at the bottom entrance.

Not maintained. Homeless people are camping here. Hypodermic needles, one loaded with an unknown substance, were lying on the tennis court. Tennis court has a few markings for pickleball, which is what we came to play, but they are inaccurate or incomplete, so they are mostly useless. What awful neglect of a hilltop park with partial views of Elliott Bay.

The park is lovely and clean but to get to the dog park you have to pass dozens of homeless tents, looks like they have taken over the park. I really didnt feel comfortable and dont plan on going back.

An expansive park with a tennis court and off-leash dog park in Lower Queen Anne, a woodsy trail with switchbacks that will bring you up to Olympic Ave on Queen Anne hill, and plenty of grassy space, paths favored for walking dogs, a drinking fountain, and public restrooms in the upper portion.Kinnear Park is probably one of the best places to have a quiet picnic in the shade of a tree while overlooking Puget Sound, though Kerry Park (fewer trees, less space, more people) is more conducive to photo opportunities.

Good place to walk your dog. Nice views. Has a bathroom, bubbler, lots of benches, a swing, a tennis court and an off leash dog area. Yes there are a lot of homeless tents down near the dog area, but complaining about that seems pretty selfish. Im pretty sure they dont want to be living in a tent any more than you want encampments in the park.

This park is fantastic for kids. There were so many options, if we lived locally we could come here many times before we could try everything out. On our visit, we spent time on the various playgrounds that are designated for certain age ranges with age appropriate equipment. There is a huge area with a giant bridge and multiple slides my nephews (and every other child I saw) seemed to truly enjoy. Plenty of walking paths and you can event rent equipment such as scooters, child size and up, to jet around on. The park also offers great views of the city.

Beautiful escape from the bustle of City life, easily accessed by the #1 bus. Lots of activities for young and old, yet secluded enough that you can sit on a bench and not be bothered. Tons of amazing views of Puget Sound. Public restrooms. And tons of dogs playing, second only to the murders of ravens that appear around dinner time.

Quietest park that close to downtown. Execellent water views from the top of the park. Only park that I ever seen with 24 hour restrooms. Creepy park style restrooms though. Many people say this area has a creepy feel to it. I do not agree. Many posts are claiming dozens of tents are in the park and complaining of homeless people. I can say as a homeless resident there are not even 10 total tents in the entire park. Help the homeless people out and into housing and then you wont see any homeless people.

Review for the off leash dog park. It’s small and relatively clean inside the park fence. The issue is unfortunately lots of homeless camping and while I was there a fight broke out between two of the camp residents. This is in no way a nimby comment but I would not recommend going there if you would feel uncomfortable in this situation or without the confidence to handle yourself should something go sideways. The parking directions can be confusing. The lot adjacent to the upholstery shop is NOT the lot for this park. The business left a note on my car and was super nice about it but my guess is this happens to them often.

If youre looking for a park that is 1. Still in downtown but 2. Quiet and with a great view, this is the place. Located in the queen Anne area of Seattle, Kinnear Park is smaller than regular parks, but is great for taking a walk, relaxing and enjoying the view of the water.

Review №44

If youre looking for the dog park prepare to walk by and through 10 to 15 homeless tents. And then once youre in the dog park, which is very small by the way, be prepared to have homeless tents overlooking the dog park so that you and your dog can be watched by a countless homeless people. All of this despite the fact that there is signage in the park talking about how camping there is illegal. So why doesnt the city of Seattle do something about it?

Ry

Kinnear dog park would be a great little park however the steward has been non-existent for over an year and only did any maintenance work on it in Dec 2015. 1 time preforming maintenance in the parks 4 year history. The mulch (yeah, not wood chips) has deteriorated to compost and the park is a mud pit. However, the mud isnt the only adversity to the park, since there isnt any wood chips, theyre is broken glass littering the entire park.

Nice park but lots of people like to treat it like their personal dog park. Despite city laws against it, many allow their dogs to go off leash in the upper areas. You can get a nicer view and fewer dogs at any of the other Queen Anne parks.

Kinnear Park is very peaceful and serene. Once youre in the middle of it, it doesnt even feel like youre in the city! Theres also a hidden tennis court in the middle that Ive never seen anybody use. Ive never seen any homeless people in the park (Ive been maybe half a dozen times), but given how many hang out around the neighborhood (particularly around the bottom of the park), it wouldnt surprise me to run into a few. Every time I find myself in the park by myself, I question whether its a good idea.

This place has it all. A view, a gazebo, lots of trees. Parking is good. The only reason I took off a star is this park has an unusually high population of surly homeless vagrants. One threatened me with a knife for urinating on his backpack. The upper portion of the park is generally reserved for those of higher functioning lifestyles and is therefore more advised as a destination.
