My favorite theater and it is right down the street from my apartment! I eagerly anticipate whenever they are able to reopen - right before the pandemic, my best friend and I had started catching movies regularly on their $7 ticket Tuesdays.

This theater is great! They typically offer 3 of the most popular current movies, so the selection is limited, but its usually the movies you wanted to see anyways. The interior is three floors with three separate movies. The entry level theater is the largest and usually playing the most popular movie, with the two upper theaters being much smaller and intimate. The concessions are small, but what youd expect - popcorn, candy, soda. Pro tip, visit the theater on Tuesday for $6 tickets! Make sure you arrive 15-20 minutes early if you dont purchase ahead of time because its assigned seats and they usually fill up.

Majestic Bay Theatres is a Ballard and Seattle institution. This place has charm for miles. Just look at that iconic marquee. Plus they have other fun touches like real curtains over the screens that come up before the movie starts. Anyway, theyre keeping up and they have comfy seats and great deals all day on Tuesdays and for matinees every day. Plus the staff is friendly

Best theater in Seattle! (Unless you can afford Cinerama) Great screens (audio and visual) and locally owned by a family in Ballard that employs local high school students. Netflix is great, but support the local cinema if you can. Pro tip: Enjoy a Five Guys burger and beer at Seattle Beer Co. if you have time.

I love the Majestic Bay. The large theatre at ground level is beautiful and has comfortable seats. The two smaller theatres upstairs are perfectly fine, and the seats are positioned so that you never have someone directly in front of you. Not sure if this is true in the downstairs since the seats are on an incline, and so it is not much of an issue. Popcorn and other consessions are good. The only tiny negative is that they do have coffee, but there is no problem in bringing in coffee from the coffee shop a couple storefronts away. The Majestic is always my theatre first choice!

Last Monday, I was gratified and blessed that I came to visit this place. The service, screen, seats, foods, and staff were quite impressive and satisfying. Overall, I greatly loved this particular movie house, for they provide a remarkbale day to spend time when bringing friends, family, and workmates. On my part, I truly treasure every single day that I was with your place. I will surely come back, for this movie house was truly entertaining.

How can you not love this theater? It’s adorable, first. Second, it has a wonderful atmosphere. This theater is located in a great area to get dinner before or after your movie or to grab a drink which makes it easy to make a night of your trip to the theater. You should plan on arriving early because you’ll have to find parking in Ballard and the theater fills up quickly if the movie is quite popular.

Love this theater in the heart of Ballard. No ads before the movies, just a few trailers of whats coming. And the popcorn and butter are the real deal. No faux butter here. Good sound, comfortable seats. A win all around. Thanks to the Alhadeff family for making this happen. No theater parking, just nearby lots and street parking.

We absolutely love this movie theatre! In fact it is always our first choice unless there is a movie that just isnt playing there - which doesnt happen often. Nowhere else can you find a theatre with a curtain! This stylish way to start previews and then again for the main feature is classy and a throw-back to the old movie theatre presentations. The sound system, the high-back seats, no advertisements!! - everything is first rate. My only quibble - the popcorn is way too salty (at least when we went to Mary Poppins Returns). I would suggest that people can add salt if they wish but dont over-salt the whole batch. Popcorn over-salting aside, this is a first-rate movie theatre experience. Thank you!

Great little cinema in the heart of old Ballard. Multiple theaters of different sizes. Friendly cheerful staff, good selection of snacks, comfortable seats and a good sound system. They put on first run films , and the location is handy to lots of watering holes and eateries. Parking can certainly a challenge, but its close to several bus lines.

Historic building that could benefit from some internal upgrades. The seats are only so-so as far as comfort, some are better than others. Nice touch that they have a curtain that draws up for the previews, drops down and pulls back up for the feature. Great staff

I love this theater. Locally owned and a fixture of the neighborhood. Open seating and fairly comfortable seats with drink holders. Bathrooms are on the second floor, which can sometimes be an issue, and theres not a whole lot of space in the entry area, so it can be chaotic when a lot of people are at the snack counter. Staff is friendly and helpful. Close to lots of bars, restaurants, and cafes if you want to eat or drink before or after your movie.

I was excited to finally go in this iconic art deco theater. I had read some ten or so years ago it had been purchased for renovation. It was great that we didnt have to sit through trailers, a policy of this theater I have not seen elsewhere.I guess that renovation never happened. The seats were butt-sprung and super uncomfortable. We fought and lost for armrest space. The art deco elements are mostly on the outside, so the interior was blah. Parking was available for the 7 pm Saturday show, - we paid for 3 hours to watch a movie that ran 2 hours plus fifteen. $8.59. The $1.59 was listed as tax?But not the theaters fault. Pay for parking is part of city life. The theater aisles were not lit along the floor, and we had to use cellphone flashlight once the lights went out, as inside it really does get Pitch Black, one movie I would return there to see.I guess this place is best for its neighborhood indie film festivals and the like. One bonus is several same-block choices for eats, beers and ice cream. Sadly, Starbucks was closed by the 7 pm show.

This is a theater that should probably grow to fit the growth of the neighborhood its in. Its clean, well appointed, and has a certain class to its atmosphere that feels like youre living someplace with a lot of well-educated people. The theater does have a cold snacks and hot-dogs. Drinks are filled behind the counter by competent and polite, but not necessarily cheery employees. Its one of the theaters I enjoy in the Seattle area.

Its not a huge theater, but the seats are comfortable, the popcorn is excellent, and the people are always friendly. Concession prices are a touch high, but fairly comparable with other theaters.Additionally, the Majestic Bay has a personality that many other, larger cinemas lack. Between the posters on the walls and the Popcorn Pig on the third floor, the Majestic gives off an ambiance of fun with just a touch of old-fashioned class. Its my go-to theater, and has been since I was a kid.
