What an awesome place to have a gate away from kids. You order your tickets and reserve your seats online. Show up early to get your drinks and get your drinks and snacks orders in. Theyll deliver drinks to you at different points during the movie. The seats are new and updated compared to some pictures you see online. I cant wait to go back!

This is a date night place, located in walking distance from many really good restaurants. Good choice of adult drink and they bring one out to you during the move if you order ahead. Plus it is nice to just site in one of many sitting nooks and have a drink before the movie.

What a secret little treat in Belltown. Perfect for a casual date night. This single screen theatre has a full bar in the lounge area and the most addictive truffle popcorn. This is definitely a unique experience. You can also order drinks during the movie! Id recommend getting here early to get the feel of it and if you need valet parking. Only negative would be if your a tall person like myself, Id wouldnt get seats in the second row. That row is high traffic for people and servers delivering drinks.

Loved that we found this little Seattle gem! Guess a local hot spot! So book early and online to get a seat and the one you want as our mid day showing was pretty much a sell out! Can be hard to spot from the street because it is in the lower level of a restaurant. They had a small sign in a window which can be missed if driving by. Luckily we were on foot. As you walk in, to the right you go down some stairs. You will will see the bar & lounge area and confirm your seat and get an explanation if new like us how it all works. You can order drinks at that moment to bring into theater or sit on comfy couches til movie time, you can also order for drink delivery between 45-90m into the movie. Cute theater and set up! On the smaller end but newly remodeled and clean! Really enjoy that it is 21+! Great concept! A must do if a tourist especially if you have a late flight like us!

Great movie going experience! Different from regular Cineplex (which can feel very impersonal). This is a warm and homey feel, like watching a movie with your friends at home. Staff is very friendly and the owner is an amazing person (ask him about the history of the place) with long time experience in the movie biz. Of course, the bubbly is great too! Definitely recommend for date night or for a movie experience with a personal touch.

If you have the chance definitely check out this amazing little movie theatre! Wonderful ambiance in the lounge area before the movie and a quaint vibe in the theatre with only about 100 seats.My only regret was not taking them up on their mid movie drink delivery!Would return!

Seats were cramped and uncomfortable, I’m 6’2 so maybe if your shorter you would be ok. Screen was small side so def don’t sit in the back it will be hard to see the film. The mixed drinks are way too sweet so stick to the wine or beer. Won’t be returning.

Our company did an offsite at this location, and WOW! I’ve lived in Seattle my entire life, and had no idea this place existed. It’s a private movie theater, with a bunch of additional little cocktail-style rooms, it was perfect for the ~30 people we had, but could easily accommodate many more. The service was friendly and very attentive. The theater was modern with comfortable seating and a clean interior. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a fun group outing for a corporate or social setting. Was pleasantly surprised, and will definitely come back!!!

Big Picture is the BEST! The vibe of the theater is cozy and intimate and the food and beverage services are unparalleled! Would I like a 2nd cocktail delivered halfway through the film!? Um, yes please! Literally the only downside is there is only 1 movie showing at a time (so if that’s not the film you were hoping to see, you’re out of luck). BUT- provided they are playing the film you want to see, I don’t know why you would go anywhere else!

Retro style cinema with bar. They bring drinks and food to your seat during the movie as well. Really nice vibe and beeing early for a movie hasnt been that fun as here...where you can chill in the nice bar. Cinema wise the sound ok but screen slightly to small so try to sit in the middle or front rows.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful dinner at El Gaucho and decided to checkout Big Picture bar area after dinner. We asked a few questions about the place and the employee was incredibly rude and dismissive. It turned out he was the manager

Cozy seating with couches and chairs put together for fun gathering spaces to imbibe before or after the movie in the lobby. Seating in the theater is comfortable - leather chairs with cup holders. Only thing that could be improved is if they were reclining with foot rests!

The original and the best by far!! The Big Picture is a real hidden gem. Such a pleasure to visit the intimate ans luxurious theater. I visited recently as part of a tour ans they could not have been more hospitable. Luxury seats with a fantastic screen!! Wonderful selection of adult beverages and the very best news, its 21 and over so no crying kids! The owners are so welcoming and their desire to please their guests is evident in all the special touches they provide....they really have thought of everything! Whether you go for a movie or rent the theater for your group The Big Picture is somewhere I will go over and over. Cant say enough good things....5 stars for sure.

Fun place to watch a movie. Theater and screen are small so its ok to get second row seats.

Book ahead online, grab happy hour upstairs at El Gaucho, head downstairs for the movie. Order a drink and yummy bowl of popcorn (the cheese flavor is spectacular), and head into your seat. About half way through the movie you can opt to receive a second fresh drink if you pay ahead for it. Seats do not recline, but theyre comfy leather. Recommend sitting in the front where they have small ottomans if your feet tend to dangle, plus it eliminates having a tall person in front of you.

Lovely intimate setting to catch a movie. MUCH MUCH more comfortable than most theaters, plus theres a full bar. No gross nachos here, only specialty drinks and friendly staff.

If you get there early enough to get a front row seat, you can put your feet up on the foot rests. Added to the truffle butter popcorn and the drink delivery twice through the movie, not sure what else you could want from a movie going experience. I love that they do the themed drinks for each movie too. The speakeasy feel of the place makes you feel like youre in another decade, when movie going was decadent.

Old-timey movie theatre with a “gilded-age of Hollywood” aesthetic. Aisle-side drink service during the movie which you can pre-order before the show. The staff is friendly and the popcorn flows!

The theater itself is good. I can’t describe how bad the pizza was though, and how much it cost. Stick to draft beer.

Hidden gem alert!! Super cozy theatre with drinks and THE BEST popcorn (make sure to get the combo of truffle and cheese!). Lots of great little seating areas to hang out before the movie, so we always go a bit early. The seats are SO comfy and its awesome to have such an intimate experience.

Who knew this place was even here!? So glad that a friend introduced me. The staff is really fun and quirky. The movie theater layout is pretty small, which is perfect for the atmosphere and seating. The sound system was much better than I thought it would be and I give them an A+ for overall sound quality and bass response.Perks:Theres a bar and has amazing popcorn. You can even stage your drinks to come at different points in the movie.

Super friendly staff/ownership, were the only ones there and were made to feel like VIPs. Super unique design along with great and varied drink options and good food makes for an awesome experience. Seats were also super comfortable, will be going back again soon!

It is nice to go to a 21+ place to see a movie. Went and saw Lady Bird, and so it was a fun crowd.They dont have a full food menu its popcorn with optional truffle salt, cheese, mini pizzas, and of course candy. Its hard to find this info on their website.The seating is pretty tight, especially if you have drinks, pizza and popcorn. There were three of us, I sat in the middle of the 5 seat section. The 2 people to the left of us were pretty big guys, so I was cramped the entire movie. I was having flashbacks to being the middle seat on a plane.Get there early to order drinks & snacks. You order, and they deliver later.

Cool movie theater! Retro style. Would highly recommend. Very friendly staff and we were also greeted by the owners. Good prices, we got bagels, a drink and a movie for $18 but that is only on certain days. Go check it out!

I adore this place! Comfortable seats and regularly changing movies on their single screen. A decent bar with a selection of cocktails along with rotating specials that go with the film thats on. The popcorn is delicious, the pizza is so-so. My saddest complaint is that they dont do my favorite cocktail any more (the Fantastic Sidecar)!

As someone who is not a Seattle native, I cant help feeling like this charming place is a hidden gem. The staff are friendly, the space is bursting with character, and the theater itself is a delight. Coming here almost feels like going to watch a film in a speakeasy.

While the screen is not typical movie theater size, big picture makes up for its small space in amazing drinks, the best popcorn I have ever eaten, and fantastic service. The chairs are comfy and if you sit in the front row you get an ottoman! Perfect rainy Seattle activity.

It’s a fun concept — a combination of lounge and theater — but the execution is lacking. The decor is dated and moldering and the staff is cold to surly. It’s also hard to find the actual entrance — you have to go inside the main building then down some narrow side steps.You can get drinks delivered to your seat, though, which is fun.

This venue is just fun! First, youre going to see a movie, so the basis of your visit is already off to a great start. Then you have a great bar where bartenders whip you up specialty cocktails, and pour craft beers. Throw in the option to have a mid-movie beverage delivered straight to your seat. You can also reserve your seat ahead of time, and rent out space for special occasions. We usually hit the happy hour prior to screen time, located at the classy restaurant just above Big Picture--thats what I call a Sunday Funday, or Monday...

We loved our viewing experience. Small intimate experience, great seating, awesome cocktail bar that can serve during the film for a refresher. Just a great change to your big box cinemas. Dont go if you are expecting IMAX experience. I like it more! Oh and the Truffle Butter Popcorn a must!!

Very unique place to see a moving

Coolest hidden gem movie theatre Ive ever been to. First alcohol serving movie theatre on the west coast for 19 years now. Popcorn varieties are delicious and you can hang out in awesome uniquely decorated rooms before or after the movie.

A movie theater designed for adults (you have to be over 21 because of alcohol and the bar). The theater is a little hard to find as its located below a restaurant, instead of entering the restaurant you goto the right and down a flight of stairs. The theater only shows one movie, so be sure to check out whats showing (you can also buy your tickets/choose your seats ahead of time).The bar is comfortable offering a menu full of fun cocktails. They also have an ok selection of wine and beer. You can order a bottle of wine to take into the theater (which is a nice option so you dont have to get up during the movie). Theres lots of comfortable seating outside the bar, if you want to arrive early and drink.The theater itself is very cozy and has comfortable seats. Its not a very large theater so its pretty intimate. Its a fun way to watch the movies!

I love coming here to see movies as the location is right by my house and its tiny and comfortable. You can order drinks and have them delivered to you during the movie. That being said, the drinks are highly overpriced, but what do you expect at a movie theatre?! They renovated the seats a few years ago and could definitely use a renovation of the different seating areas outside of the theatre, but at the same time i think its what gives this place its charm!

Order food and beverages before the show starts to be delivered during film with minimum of interruption. Great matinee prices! No table or bar at seat, so pizza was served in box and held in hand while eating. Not a major inconvenience

Lovely small little theater hidden under the El Gaucho restaurant. They serve drinks and food and will even deliver to your seat. Tiny little theater with only about 8-10 rows of seating but feels very homey and nice. I will definitely be going back!

Top notch, esp when u wanna show that lady ur trying to convince to sleep with u ur a classy, but down to earth kinda guy. Great dri ks too. I been here several times. With and without a companion, once with large group, whoever they get to Tend Bar(maybe they recruit from Goucho? Idk) they were never uh, shy when it comes to their pours. And ambiemce, a dim candle lit kinda feeling, almost classic in a jazzy, throwback sense. Feels like maybe a speakeasy would have 100 years ago, one that snuck a projector and piano man in there. Very cool for. Solo, date or group, its great... Maybe mot for the kids though haha jk

What a delightful experience-- from tickets to curtains! I felt like I was watching a movie with 60 of my closest friends. Folks were respectful, but laughed and sighed just like we were at home. And at the end, we all clapped. I loved the feeling of watching a movie with people who were excited to be there.

Its fun to see a film here every once and a while. Great drinks, great popcorn and great service. You can get drinks delivered to you seat. On occasion you will get a couple of chatterboxs due to the alcohol.

Nestled in the basement of El Gaucho, there is a unique movie experience. The Big Picture is a small (nay cozy) theater that I would recommend for seeing comedies or dramas. It isnt really suited for your large-scale, special-effects laden, sci-fi epics, but on the other hand they serve alcohol. So try to get there a few minutes early and enjoy a drink with your friends/date/partner. Or if youre alone, you can take drink into the theater and drink in the dark!
