Felt surprisingly comfortable seeing a movie again. AMC is on top of mandating masks and spacing people out. On top of that, theater rooms ceilings are so high and their airflow is so good, that youre not just mellowing in other peoples exhalation.

I am one of the few people I know who had never seen The Sound of Music in its entirety. So having already experienced the Beauty and The Beast Sing-Along with my best friend and daughter, I knew it was time to cross over into mainstream society and join the masses in singing along with Julie Andrews. We purchased our tickets online and after a trip on BART and Muni, we were ready.

I felt like a grown up here, they carded me at the door and carded me when I purchased my Carribbean Cooler at the concession stand. I enjoyed the quaint little theatre to watch The Equalizer 2 which btw is amazing. Popcorn was fresh and staff was friendly. The atmosphere was comfortable and like walking into a high end bar. It wasnt the recliners like at other AMCs but the seats with side tables were comfy.

Thing to know, they serve alcohol so no one under 21 allowed (they check IDs). As a dad it can be annoying that the theatre so close isnt one I can bring kids to. Maybe it is unfair of me to deduct a star for that. If you are over 21 it is the best. Roomy seats, no bad seats for the screen, more food/drink options than just popcorn and pop, and a few lounge areas to drink, eat, and discuss the movie. Great place for a movie date because after the film you dont have to go outside in the rain.

Solid movie theater. Though they do not have the reclining seats like other AMCs in the area, the seats here are more comfortable than your standard theater seats. You can order alcohol here too! They offer a good selection of movies. They do not have a parking lot so youll have to pay to park nearby on the street or in lot.

Pretty cool theater. A little on the older side, not as nice of features as the newer theaters. Such as the reclining chairs and such. It’s cool, a bit more vintage. I liked it because it’s less crowded than the flashier spots. There is a full bar which is cool but SUPER expensive. Overall definitely a pleasant experience and would return again for future movie viewings.

Seeing a movie later in its run is always nice. Comfortable seats that are paired with decent sized rests for food and drink between every other seat. Full bar, prices arent horrible (11-16 for spirits, pretty standard), food is more appetizer sized though as opposed to dinner. And pre-movie lounging on the leather couches upstairs is always nice

Probably my favorite theater, though Im biased because its so close to me. They have assigned seating for all screenings, which is amazing for coordinating larger groups. The snacks include things you dont get at other theatres, too, like gluten-free chocolate-covered pretzels, which is a great find for my friends who are often cut out of other movie munchies.Ive had plans derailed because I forgot my ID a few times, but the concessions include alcohol, which some people like.

Parking is awful, so expensive (about the price of a ticket, itself). No convenient street parking options. The place has gotten very dirty in the last few years, especially in the main entry area, lots of dirt and grime. Place used to be really nice, classy even, but I think there must have been an owner change. Too bad, feels like an afterthought of a theater built on the skeleton of something better.

One of Seattles more independent-focused chain theaters. 21+, so drinks can be taken all the way to your seat - and the seats are a bit roomier. But the projection & audio often feel sub-par, and the upstairs bar is rarely (if ever) staffed. Its also in a bit of an awkward location, with no free parking and limited choices for food & drinks within walking distance. Fine if youre an A-List user who wants to see the latest indie darling - but if youre just looking for a night out - youve got better options.

Of course this is my local, within walking distance, movie theater but the real reason I love this place is because it combines the best of a comfortable, modern multi-screen theater with a bit of old Seattles more funky lounge-like, homey feel - comfy leather couches to relax on while having pre-film drinks and food.

To buy tickets online they charge a $4 “convenience” fee... to buy online. Once I arrived at the theatre there was no parking for customers that you didn’t have to pay for. I called to confirm this and they said if you put in a code it’s 45 cents to park. Got to the kiosk to pay this and it came up to almost 9 dollars to park. Called back to ask why and they said it was 45 cents OFF to park. Will not be coming back to an AMC in Seattle again.

This is my favorite theater! I like it because it is 21 and over only. No annoying teenagers distracting you during the film and you can have a drink while youre watching the movie: Win win. This cinema is wicked cool. The decor is au natural with wooden branches lining the hallways, there are leather couches in the upstairs lounge, the food looks amazeballs and seating is assigned and super comfortable and clean. Love that the couple next to us had an entire bottle of wine in their cup holder (that actually fit!) and the hallways were like a small art gallery for local artists. They card everyone so yes you need your ID. Its thoughtful that they offer free parking but geez its like 4-5 blocks walk away, might as well just find street parking when u go. If youre ok with smaller screens but theatre rooms with only 25 people, a wicked bar and lounge setup then this is the cinema for you.

We usually enjoy this theater. Our last visit was strange - no one at the door to check our IDs, no one at the entrance to take our tickets, then were called after by a staff member to check our IDs as were walking into our theater, less than 10 minutes before the movie was to start, and then said staff member tells us we should wait since the theater might not be cleaned yet. Not cleaned 10 minutes before a movie starts? This was a Friday night. Why so understaffed, and why so rude to us?

21+ cinema has changed management several times over the years. AMC management has retained much of the charm of the Sundance version. Smaller house sizes with reserved seating. Comfortable seats have space to put down food but seats do not recline. Decent bar food and themed cocktail options. Regular restroom is upstairs, along with space to sit and hang out, but theres an ADA restroom downstairs, too. No dedicated parking lot. Go on Sundays for easy, free parking on street or nearby at UW. Otherwise you add $11-18 lot parking to cost.

I understand the 21+ policy, but I am 52 years old. I live close by, walk to the theater frequently (but not anymore after this), and I forgot my ID. The manager (older man, sorry, didnt get his name), barely let me in. Rambled on about the policy and said Ill let you in only this time, and you have lost your alcohol privileges. I was stunned at his rudeness. My husband waited in line and was going to get two drinks anyway, (the policy allows this), but I foolishly was in line with him and the attendant asked for my ID. When I told him I didnt have it, he said, let me ask my manager, its up to his discretion. The manager was already on his way over (he must have seen me in line), he said absolutely not and made a small scene about how he just told me at the door etc. I repeated that I was told its up to his discretion and he said he would not risk the fine. I told him to refund our tickets. At this juncture, I was able to talk to him more. I asked him why he wouldnt allow me a drink, as it is in his discretion - he said he wouldnt risk his job on me and a 10,000 fine!?! OMG. I told him that we come there frequently, but it didnt matter. I also mentioned the 2 drink policy and my husband could have gotten me one anyway - he said if he would have seen me with a drink, he would have kicked me out of the theater. I am a business woman, a well respected citizen in this community, and would not have been a risk to his theater in any way with one drink of wine. I will never go back to this theater and its a shame because I loved it.

This theater has the potential for greatness, but for now is just okay. This theater is in a convenient location which is a plus for me. It also usually has a really good selection of movies compared to other theaters in the area, as they usually play a lot more arthouse/indie/foreign films. I also do like that it is 21+ so you dont have to worry about kids. The reason I cant give this theater 5 stars however, is the fact that the facility is sorely outdated compared to other AMC properties. The seats are really old and not comfortable, and the screen sizes are smaller than most theaters. AMC really ought to renovate this theater and install reclining chairs and modernize the theater equipment. Doing that would easily make this theater a 5 star location.

Mandatory paid parking. Paid $10.11 for 2hrs but movies don’t just end in exact 2hrs bc all the trailers before the movie starts. We paid total $20.22 for parking, tickets were more expensive than other AMC theaters for no reason. This theater doesn’t even have recliner seats other amc locations provide. People seem to review a lot about the theater being +21 but why does this matter so much? Movies are rated anyway so teenagers wouldn’t technically be allowed to purchase rated R movies. Won’t be going back again. Go to Oak Tree amc location, they are much more new, clean, organized and have recliner seats (really does make the difference) and if you are paying the same amount of $ why not be more comfortable to enjoy your movie night out.

This was my first time at this theatre since it changed from being a Sundance Cinema to AMC. All I can say is -- what an incredible disappointment! Yes the comfy seats remain, the ticket prices are typical for Seattle and fine -- but whereas the discounted parking used to be like $2, now it is essentially the same as non-theatre parking (I paid $9 tonight). But the worst is the change in refreshment selection and quality -- when Sundance ran it, the food and drink choices were amazing: northwest wines and microbrews (all listed on a chalkboard), and a menu good enough to substitute for good restaurant food. Now they servemovie food -- popcorn, movie nachos, mozzarella sticks, and chicken fingers. It used to be a real treat going there -- but no more. This was my first and will be my last visit under AMC ownership. Terrible.

This is not a true Dine In theater. There are only two options for hot food: flatbread and wings. Everything else is snack food. There is a bar upstairs that is basically abandoned. The fireplace is nice while waiting for your food though... Because there is no in-theater service, you have to order food at the counter and then head to your theater. The 3D glasses are obviously reused (no packaging) - not sure if they are cleaned between functions. I hope I didnt get pink eye.Im terribly disappointed that this is advertised as a dine-in experience. Its just a regular movie theater in terms of seating and service. The only difference is that the seating is assigned. Overall, the facility is dirty, the hallways are used as storage (see second floor)... Boxes just lying around. I would not come back.
