I went to the theater and I was very pleased with their appearance and comfort. Thank you for all your help. In a day and age where good customer service is a phrase that is used frequently, but in reality, rarely occurs, you and your cinema stand as the embodiment of excellent customer service.

The PACCAR and Boeing IMAX Theaters at Pacific Science Center is beautiful inside. While youre waiting for the show to start, just look around and observe the intricate details on the walls. Even waiting in line outside can be a pleasant experience since youre able to breathe in coffee aroma from the cafe next door.

When it comes to picture and sound quality, there not theater in the state that can beat it. The screen it huge, larger than any other imax screen that seen with great view pretty much everywhere. There are only limited viewings of shows though and the seats are pretty good, but not the great reclining ones that you can get elsewhere. Always sell out for new release and a huge line to get in so get there early.

There are only two theaters in downtown Seattle my friends and I frequent, no offence to AMC, the Cinerama (our #1 choice) and the IMAX at the Pacific Science Center. There are two screens, the larger Boeing IMAX and the smaller PACCAR. Skip the PACCAR which has narrow aisles and uncomfortable seats. The Boeing seats, on the other hand, are terrific...Very supportive. The sound and visuals are incredible. We have our visit down to a science. Arrive at 6 pm to take advantage of free street parking. Dinner at 6:15 at the Skillet in the Armory/Center House food court and head to the movie at 7 pm. Perfect!

The best place to go watch a movie in Seattle. The standard digital IMAX experience with great image, sound and view from any seat. Also the movies start quickly with no publicity and only a handful of trailers for other movies you may actually want to see

They way you should see a movie for sure! Audio and video are way better than normal theatres. It is also quite competitively priced with other local theatres.

The theatre can be best described with one word- breathtaking.Despite the amazing screen, cool extra tidbits like free movie poster printouts and play area outside the cinema, coupled with super friendly staff and great prices for IMAX though, I wont be coming here again because the seats are super uncomfortable.I had the benefit of coming here on an evening weekday with most of the theatre being empty, so I was able to kick my legs up on the seats ahead of me, but I would imagine this would be impossible on a typical weekend night. If youre tall or big built, the seats are uncomfortable and will take away from your movie experience, so do bear that in mind when choosing where you will see the next blockbuster around the block.

Visually, this is the highest quality cinema in Seattle. The ticket price is comparable to regular cinemas and it goes to supporting science! There are no commercials at the beginning of the movie, only previews. Every seat is a good seat, but shows can quickly sell out and you can end up waiting in a long line. If you are with a group show up early!

Ar

Reasonable priced IMAX theater with reasonably priced concessions and it is a REAL IMAX screen not an IMAX Formatted screen.. Get here early and sit in the middle section to completely immersed in the movie, especially if it is a 3D release. They do a great job of bringing in the big, popular movies for a first run here like all the Harry Potter movies, TRON, Mission Impossible, etc.

This is an average IMAX, with uncomfortable seating and an odd sweat spot needed to enjoy 3D movies. The concessions was average priced but the quality was lacking, not a lot of options and stale popcorn. We all know that theaters are over priced and this location is no exception.Multiple times the movie seemed to go blurry with the slightest movement of my head, to enjoy the movie you must sit at the same spot and minimize movement of your body and/or supplied glasses. This is not an issue in any other theater I have been too, IMAX, Real 3D, etc.(2016: The Jungle Book an IMAX 3D experience)

They recently had a remodel, which is great, but even with the adjustments the seats are still extra small and uncomfortable, and the screen needs some work. They made big improvements on the sound though. And it really is the biggest screen around.

Ja

This is a real IMAX giant screen, but the sound is underwhelming, and IMAX 3D is not nearly as good as RealD 3D found in most non-IMAX theaters. Hard to get good seats. Incredible prime discount for MS employees though.

Saw Star Wars force Awakens here and was BLOWN away by the quality of screen and sound. The most immersive experience in Seattle. The screen in this theater, the Boeing (not the Paccar) is the largest in town although Cineramas might be wider and and the Dolby Atmos sound is phenomenal! No cinema within 100+ miles is better. Unfortunately theres no reserved seating so you have to arrive at least an hour early to get a good seat but IT IS WORTH THE WAIT (usually).

We were at the Boeing IMAX theater to see Rogue One, not the Paccar IMAX. Great screen and sound system, I only wish they offered reserved seating... The theater is right next to Space needle, attached to Pacific Science center. The screen is AMAZING and the sound quality is mind blowing. Love the short film that they show in the beginning about Seattle, n it actually feels like an amazing work on 3D technology! The only bad part thing about the place, No assigned seating. I reached 10 mins before the movie time for the first movie i watched here, and got the last available seats in the corner of the theater, and although it wasnt bad, it was still a great experience. So, next time, I reached 30 mins earlier, and I still didnt get the best seats! Advice: Reach there well in advance and stand in the queue for 40+ mins if you like to watch a movie with good seats.

Review №89

This is the best imax theater around. Growing up in these parts, Ive been seeing imax movies here for 30 years, long before the recently developed imax screens in your standard mall cinaplex. Yet the Pac Sci imax screen remains bigger and the sound is bigger, louder, and more immersive than any other, including all the new imax screens at newer theathers like Thornton Place in Northgate, etc. Multiply the immersion factor by 100 if its a 3D movie, there is nothing like viewing the fancy new 3D movies here, I dont go anywhere else anymore for movies like Gravity, The Hobbit, the new Star Treks, the comic book hereos movies, etc.SEATING is very comfortable, and has just the right feel of reclined position, not too much, not too little. It has stadium seating, so the rows of seats go up at a very steep angle, not only centering you in the middle of the screen vertically, further immersing you into the movie, but also you dont have to worry about a tall person with big hair sitting in front of you.Its also worth pointing out that the PRICE of a ticket here is typically a few dollars cheaper than the other cinaplex imax tickets. So better and cheaper! Whats not to like?Well, PARKING for one is not exactly straightforward, and not free. Best way to go is go down Denny Way west toward the water, then turn right and go up 2nd ave, so youre on the west side of the Pac Sci Center. On the right youll see a convenient parking garage, the spendiest option, but convenient. All along there on 2nd however is a lot of curbside back-in angle parking, if you get lucky grab one of those spots, for the cheaper street parking rate, and youre just as close as the garage. If those are all taken, go up and then take a left on John St. (by the way, right here to the right will be the closest park ENTRANCE, taking you right to the imax TICKET BOOTHS and imax entrance). After the left on John, hunt around those few blocks, and you can usually find a street parking spot just a short walk away. If all else fails, use the convenenient garage or some of the diamond lots further down John if even the garage is full. Also when a big new hyped-up movie first comes out here, seating can get interesting the first couple of weeks of its release. If youre going at a peak time (weekends or week nights) you may want to get there a half hour EARLY to be in the front of the line, to ensure you get a choice middle seat. I find the front rows just too close, and the sides are, well, the sides. So either get there early, go see an early weekday showing, or just wait a couple of weeks after its release and you should be fine.Other notes, the CONCESSIONS is pretty standard for movie theaters, over-priced but whatre you gonna do. The food court, oddly named The Armory, is also just a short walk north across the grass from the imax ticket booths. Actually really good, great options and reasonably priced.
