Went to visit a friend and his son and enjoy the afternoon and the neighborhood. Very cheering to see all the children of various ages enjoying the space together. Spent all of our time in just the one corner near the entrance, but saw all manner of activity: bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, frisbee...also, lots of kind, welcoming people there. 5 stars for Community!

Fun, funky, beautiful park and playground. Soft ground for the littles, play areas for big and small children. Safe with a fence and latched gate. In the heart of North Beach so parking can be tricky. Also has fairly clean public restroom. Library next door and coffee across the street. Good people watching. Love this park.

I was at the 2019 Italian Heritage Parade. I attend every year traveling 54 miles from Antioch. I believe this year was my 45th year. I missed 2015 because I was out of town. The parade is a great experience for young and old. It’s Fleet Week Sunday so the bonus is antique in lane flyovers, a United airlines jumbo jet flyover and the Blue Angels.

Took my kid to play basketball. Even though there was another OPEN basketball court, this Indian adult just came over with his other friends and took over the court where my son was playing. He had the nerve to take my sons ball and use it with asking. What a douche! The neighborhood changed over the years. Use to be a lot of neighborhood kids playing all the time. Now you get these adults(transplant from another country) just taking g over the basketball courts without any manners of asking if they can shoot with you or share the court.

Showing my kids where I grew up, I used to come here when I was a kid when it was called the North Beach playground. Totally renovated, beautiful playground area now moved from the top section to the lower deck by the pool and library. The pool is still here, used to be $0.25, now $1.00. still a great bargain. Just missed the sandy playground.

This newly renovated playground is perfect for everyone. The playground provides, well just that, a huge playground for the kiddies, basketball, tennis and boccie ball courts. Indoor Swimming pool, a club House to rent out and public library. It has two very small bathrooms one for men one for women both equipped with a baby station and a bunch of picnic tables that can be rented out for special occasions.

Very fun place to go hang out and also has a few nice skateboarding spots if you’re into that. They have water fountains, a closed in play area with turf ground and cool modern looking play structures, and basketball/tennis courts, with smooth ground. Overall I think this is a great spot to chill at for a while and be with friends. Usually not too busy but sometimes there can be a lot of people. Also has bathrooms and sometimes you can get a spot right in-front. I give this park a 9.5/10 just because of all the fun stuff to do and I’ve met plenty of chill cool dudes here.

I think I enjoyed this park as much as the kids did. Super clean, enclosed park with unique play structures--allows kids to stretch their play boundaries and bring out the kid in adults. There is a massive climbing dome, large metal slides that one can race on, and an awesome structure that I can only describe as a combined see-saw and swing. I laughed until my chest hurt.Located just around the corner from North Beach restaurants and shops. Good place to hang out when youre waiting 1.5 hours in the Tonys Pizza queue.

Pros: beautiful after remodeling, nice playground for kids, 3 nice tennis courts, 1 full basketball court plus 2 half courts, got one of the largest tennis wall you can find anywhere, lighted until 10 pm, has restroom.Cons: not well designed for tennis. There used to be stairs next to tennis wall so one can easily retrieve balls hit over the fence, but now you have to walk the equivalent of 6 blocks (3 blocks each way) to retrieve ball and go back to the wall. Plus the holes on the fence are too big so that balls can get through, not so with the old fence. The gaps on one of the gates into tennis courts are too wide so balls can get through. Usually long waits for tennis courts on weekdays around 6pm. Basketball courts can be hit or miss. One of the half courts net is too tight so ball can get stuck. Restroom closes 2-3 hours before park closes.

I love this place. The play ground and basket ball. I swim in Texas and de used to swim in the pool here.I got into the Cool pool with the slow swimmers. There is a lot of people swimming and it is not what I am used to. So maybe my review is lackingWe swam in a circle in an extra wide lane. That meant having to look up about 2 or 3 times while swimming to make sure to not bump into others. Most people are Olympic Swimmers here and flouncing through the water doing the butterfly and breast stroke. They are professionals and it seems little focused on an old lady just getting some exercise by swimming laps. It is too much need to interact with all the other swimmers. I am spoiled maybe and prefer to just swim and not dodge duck and negotiate my next lap. Dare you take a brake between laps and disrupt the circle. The showers have a sign posted to only take a 2 minutes shower. There is no dry spot or place to set shampoo or towel except the floor. No dry spot and military style showers. For sure I am spoiled that I at least have a hook to hand a bag for my care products. Which is a comb, shampoo and conditioner. There is no soap in the shower at all. It is meant to just rinse and runThere is a salad spinner to tinge the water from your suit which is rare and super useful. There is no towel service. You must bring a deep hinged pad lock and the receiving parts of the locker are think and bulkier than most.Do t plan to actually shower here.Be ready for Wilde professional swimmers who dominate the lanes. When I looked at the schedule posted it showed the pool is open for lap swim at a certain time. I came 15 early to dress, shower off and get in. I tried the door and could see people swimming. It was locked. I thought maybe I didn’t push enough so I tried the door a second time. Then just stepped back and another person came to wait for the door. He told me it doesn’t open until the exact time even though it is midday.A woman came in her towel and wet and angrily stated it is their lunch time and they need lunch too ya know.I tried to explain I didn’t know and thought the door would be open prior to swim time. I apologized but it felt creepy. So to the employees take your lunch but maybe post that the doors are looked during lunch and post your lunch time so people have a clue. None of the sort was in the schedule posted. It is a simple thing to do to communicate your needs which the public is sure to understand. The facility is great and the people who work there are lovely. I however will be swimming in the bay next time.
