What a gem! Fantastic little oasis in the middle of gorgeous Golden Gate Park. Here you can enjoy your book or have lunch with your family or just truly enjoy beautiful roses. Try to smell them - because they most of them smell beautifully.

Rose Garden is amazingly beautiful and is truly its own little world. I love it here, so close to LA and yet seems so far. Its so fresh in here and a great place to escape with cute little benches tucked away in strategic places. I love the Japanese garden and the Hope rock thats up the trail next to the house on the hill. Just lovely! Sprawling grounds of vegetation wherever the eye can see! Oh yeah, admission is cheap, about 8 dollars or so, theres a cute gift shop, and a cafe. Free parking, too........ all this in the heart of a quaint little neighborhood....an oasis for peace.

I cant be there this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but in years past, the Rose Garden in Golden Gate Park has been absolutely stunning. The variety of roses that bloom in the garden is amazing, and you will also be impressed by the brilliant color variations.

When you are in San Francisco for the spring and summer seasons, please remember to visit the Rose Garden in Golden Gate Park. I visited in summer last year and the little garden was full of color and rosy splendor. This spring I took a visiting relative. While the bloomers were not as bountiful, the ones that were taking in the spring sun were nevertheless beautiful. I highly recommend visiting the Golden Gate Park Rose Garden!

If you are a rose lover, this is a place you must visit. There are roses of all varieties and of different colors in one single location for you to explore. This place is perfect for pictures and no admission tickets are required. It is open every day for your visit. So if you will visit the park, remember to drop by here.

The Rose garden is one of the most beautiful places in San Francisco to visit. Each rose has a unique scent and individually named.

Same walk as always, something about that Indian summer type day in the garden. With fall looming, not many chances left to see the flowers in full bloom.

The garden is fairly small, but theres a good selection of roses. Unfortunately, when I went a lot of them were cut down, so only a couple were left standing. However, Im sure this garden is absolutely beautiful during the summers when the weather is nice!

This is a wonderful Rose Garden on the edge of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. The new Rose Master there has definitely improved the place. They need to use organic methods and more mulch and maybe more control over the pruners there that hacked the roses a little bit too much sometimes. But definitely an improvement and definitely a huge selection of roses. I hope they will continue to use the old roses and not so much the brand new tea roses. The old roses are so much better to look at.

I love the rose garden so much. Its a piece of heaven in the park. It inspires poetry. How this could get anything less than 5 stars is beyond me. Its FREE!! For a free garden, its magical.I do wish ALL the roses had tags identifying what the name of the rose is though. It seems 60 to 70% of the bushes are tagged. Invariably, its the ones without tags I want to the names!Thank you for not picking the flowers.

The garden is tranquil and beautiful. There are a number of places to sit and smell the super fragrent roses. Plus you cant beat the price. If youre in the park be sure to stop here. The only drawback is on busy days it is crawling with folks taking Instagram photos of the lovely flowers. Personally, I love to see people enjoying the garden so this doesnt ruin it for me, but if this isnt your jam, be sure to visit early in the morning or on less busy days.

I went during December so there wasnt a ton going on here. Maybe during the blooming season it would be a better time to go. But its all part of the Golden Gate Park so its pretty cool in that aspect. Its a peaceful location where you could sit for a while and relax on a sunny day since there are tons of trees to provide shade and comfort. Without the roses blooming though, it wasnt that spectacular.

When its good its very very good. Some roses do seem to do better than others, but this is not the most conducive micro-climate. Now, if this place were automagically transported to the Mission... So, if the roses didnt come up to your expectation, check out the redwood grove next door and downhill. Did you know, redwoods are beneficiaries of global warming? BTW, if you are looking for the rest room, its located uphill behind the rose garden.
