Beautiful landscape of San Francisco from up high this park. Really a gorgeous view when the sun is here! You can see pretty easily the ocean, the new Ferris Wheel at the Golden Gate Park, the Sutro Tower, Downtown etc. There are some other hidden gems like the 16th Street Tiered Steps and the Hidden Garden Steps close by to go visit. Really worth your time!

In my opinion, this is the best view of San Francisco within the city. You get a 360 degree view from the ocean to the city. Its another great hill, near Twin Peaks. Be sure to check out the Moraga Steps on the way down. Its worth the panoramic view, the artistic steps, and the exercise. Location-wise, this is near Golden Gate Park and not far from good restaurants in the Inner Sunset. Its a super sweet workout. If you get there early enough (I reached the peak by 8am), you can see the fog completely cover the city from the ocean.

Beautiful view! I will say that this isnt quite a picnic at the park kind of park. Honestly, I which I was aware of that before planning a picnic dinner here with my boyfriend. However, there IS a small area of grass along the hill facing the coast and you definitely can sit and eat there with some friends while watching the sunset, but it truly isnt big enough for too many people and isnt the most comfortable of lawns to sit on. Id say visitors truly come here for the walk up the hill (or 16th Ave Steps) and the gorgeous view - which is still well-worth seeing!

This place has grand views of the Pacific ocean, Golden gate park, Presidio and whole of the west of SF. Cars dont go up to the top, so expect to climb like 100 stairs, definitely worth the climb. No restrooms or water at the top, so carry a water bottle. My best viewpoint in SF till now.

This park is absolutely magical. You can see almost the entire city from this vantage point. Be prepared to climb some awesome stairs and work those thigh muscles lol. Come to watch the sunset here and stay til the sky turns completely dark. You will be so grateful, as am I for Grandview. Each phase of the sunset every new day here is so spectacularly unique and Divine. The sky is so clear here. It gets a little chilly when it gets dark so you may want to bring a jacket. Once the setting sun morphs through all its wondrous phases ending its show by settling in its grand finale, the night sky gently falls over everything like a curtain as the lights thrill and ignite through the buildings of all the people safe, cheerful and Loved in their homes. One night everyone literally clapped as the sun said its final goodbye. It is truly a magical, pure vibrational, energetic place to go/be.

Grandview Park :Once you go to the top of the Tiled Steps (16th avenue or Moraga Street), take a right on the road and you will see another flight of stairs leading to a park. Take the stairs, and you will be taken to a great vista point. There are trees here, which look like cypress trees. The top is shaded, so its a great place to rest, lay back and enjoy the beauty of the city.

Uphill spot with many steps leading to the top. There are entrance steps from at least 3 different street locations including Moraga.Once at the top rewarding views on a clear day and night towards Ocean Beach and towards Financial District of San Francisco etc - 360°view? Or almost.Take care not to trip over tree roots at the top at night and take care down the wooden steps. If walking at night or evening one will need torch/phone light as no street lighting up there. On cooler days wrap up well before venturing up to the top.Wear shoes with good grips. The soil at the top is loose and sandy. There are occasional benches to sit & relax.

This is a little neighborhood gem that the whole world enjoys. It is fun to watch all the visitors walk up the hill to see the 16th Avenue Tiled Steps outside my window. If you make it to the top of those steps it is just a little bit more climbing to the top of Grandview Park. When arriving there one is greeted with a panoramic view of the West end of San Francisco. You can see San Bruno Mountain. You can see Ocean Beach. Golden Gate Park and the Marin Headlands are to the North. Views of San Francisco are somewhat obscured by Sutro Mountain, but in general, Grandview Park is a great free place to enjoy the quiet heights.

The best bird eye view the Pacific Ocean and houses by the side as well as panaromic view of the citywide. This was where I got my first sneak peak of the Golden Gate Bridge. Love to hike here but I was pretty depressed about it after the Station Fire- it turns out they didnt need to back burn the area, but they did anyway and it destroyed all the uniqueness of the park. It is now coming back and the trails off to the left are the best. The wild flowers are in full bloom and are beautiful and you can take part of the Rim of the Valley trail which has a stream. It will still take about two more years to get the Crescenta Valley trail in any real shape. Great facilities.
