We stayed here for my birthday weekend, I picked it because it had a “spa” included. I was thinking day spa, definitely no spa. Biggest concern for me would be the cleaning, I went to shower and there was hair from the previous guest on the shower walls. That to me shows that detail cleaning is not their specialty. I let the front desk know that way they would let housekeeping know, they apologized. I did like that every time I walked in and out everyone was like “Welcome back” and “Enjoy your day”.

As an owner prol top 2 places Ive stayed. 10th floor suite. beautiful suite, beautiful view, great customer service. didnt want to leave! even with covid, felt very safe. gym also very nice

My wife had an acute medical attack and instead of supporting us, they quite literally evicted us because of liability. The building/facilities are nice. The leadership is deeply lacking and will forever color negatively my impression of the Wyndham brand. Its in a good location, but there are many other local options in this city. If you just want a place to stay, its okay. If you want to be in a safe place in the face of calamity, go someplace else. This is a building that is clearly most interested in its own liability, not the well being of its purported guests. If anyone from Wyndham rolled into my ER or ICU, I would take care of them, no questions asked. Clearly Wyndham isnt that kind of an organization.

Loved our stay there for the New years! The hotel was clean, spacious and provided great amenities. The management provided finger food, bubbles and great decoration fur the celebrating. Our room had a separate bedroom and a pull out couch fur the kids. It looked like a RCI unit as it had everything we needed.

Absolutely loved our stay, location is perfect staff is amazing. The room was perfect for my family of four. Joe at the front desk was very friendly and met all of our needs.

We just got back yesterday from a 4 night stay at the Wyndham Cantebury. We couldnt be happier with our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms were well-kept and very spacious, and it was in a great location. Ive seen some of the previous reviews complaining about the location/neighborhood....which is a bit silly. The neighborhood is great. Yes, there are a few homeless folks in the area, but its San Fran. There are going to be homeless people around everywhere you go. The fact is, I felt 100% safe at all times in that neighborhood, and enjoyed it very much. This is a timeshare property, and they will try and sell you on that (your first morning there), but that wasnt a problem. And for our time, they gave us a decent breakfast and we got 2 free tickets to the Hop-on Hop-off bus tour ($140 value). We would DEFINITELY stay here again. A big thank you to the lovely staff there. Thank you for making us feel comfortable and welcome.

It was a great place and all the people working there were all so friendly. The location of the place was easy to walk to pretty much any places.

We love this timeshare in San Francisco. Note, this is not a hotel. It has no pool. The 2-bedroom suite we got was clean and updated. Better than the suite we got in Midtown, New York. Would definitely stay here again next time I am in San Francisco.

Windham is dirty and greedy. They suggested we scalp rooms to make money to pay for maintenance fees, among several other very dissatisfactory actions and claims. They chased us when we tried to leave an update after we gave our hour and then waited outside the bathroom to accost me again before I could leave. Really horrible company.

I stayed here with my sister for 4 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was ready when we arrived (around 1:30pm) which was very convenient. The location of the hotel couldnt be better. It was easy enough to walk to all sorts of different areas, or grab an Uber/Lyft to get around.I wont skip the Timeshare aspect since this was my biggest concern. The check-in counter is separate from the timeshare counter if you will. We checked in flawlessly but were immediately stopped to get a map of the city, as well as other information/coupons from a girl working there. The conversation of course ended up at the Timeshare pitch, which I of course wanted to avoid. What I didnt appreciate is that the girl wouldnt let my sister and I converse about when could possibly work for us to sit through their talk. After traveling nonstop for 10 hours, the last thing I wanted to do was feel pressured into agreeing to a time that could work. Yet thats what happened; we agreed to an early breakfast to hear their pitch. Once we got upstairs and settled in, we received a phone call regarding 3 qualifying questions for the breakfast. Having a general idea of how timeshares work, I knew I wouldnt qualify (based on income). We never attended the breakfast because neither of us had any interest (and didnt qualify), which resulted in no repercussions.

Truly loved my room! So worth it! The decor was delightful! The studio equipped for a wonderful #Staycation! And the location is perfect for many outings within walking distance.

We stayed here as a guest of my parents timeshare on our honeymoon and were extremely grateful as it was an incredible stay! We loved the facility, putting it one of our top places to stay. We were given a beautiful room with a breathtaking view of the city. The Canterbury light was outside of our window and added to a serene feeling during the nights. It is not bothersome at all, but there is a blind for those that may have that fear. The room was in an immaculate condition and the staff tended to our every needs. Plus the location was perfect for us to walk around nearby things in this district (and there were a lot) and Uber to everything else around. We love San Francisco and we also love the Canterbury now as well. Thanks!

Very nice place to stay. Was given the room as a gift from a friend so don’t know exact cost but it seem pricey. But then again everything in San Fran is pricey.Upside: People were very friendly and took care of all of our needs. We were in the single room and it was very nice with a lot of space. Had everything we need but does not come with a stove.People at the concierge desk were great and very helpful on what to do while exploring the city and surrounding areas. They have discounts and such for food and events so be sure to check with them.Downside: The lobby is very noisy at time and the recreation areas can be noisy as well. If you do the timeshare program then be prepared to be there for 2 1/2 hrs. It is a timeshare program so be prepared to be sold.

I love this property. I was there for 3 days with my family. It was nice to be able to have the space and ability to eat in our room. It was spacious, clean and walking distance to union square and china town. The parking is crazy expensive $45 and they tax you. The other thing it’s bad how much they call you for the time share talk. They say come get your free gift I politely declined because nothing is free. Don’t fall for it. I just wanted to have a good time with my family.

Hotel is nice design wise and clean inside, but horrible location, and everything is too complicated. Different organizations are involved controlling different services like food, parking and cleaning? Parking is not Free!! 50$ per day. Super ghetto on the streets. Don’t walk around in the evening. Drunks fighting and bums sleeping everywhere. The whole process of this hotel is complicated with you getting a membership of something you might not use and you are just wasting money.

We are owners and honestly there have not been very many good things to say about some of the Wyndham properties we’ve stayed at but this one, oh this one was everything we should have been receiving as owners and more. It was beautifully designed, very clean and the staff were all so wonderfully pleasant and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back.

Lovely hotel in the city within walking distance of many attractions. Concierge staff deserve a shout out especially Eric!! All were very helpful and great ambassadors for their city.

Love the Canterbury.. My Stay was from 8/27/17-8/30/17. Greeted with a refreshing Cold Drink. From the Bellmen to the Concierge Staff, they were all great. My room was beautiful. I am VIP OWNER. However, housekeeping could be better. I had found short and long hairs underneath the covers, popcorn on the bedroom floor, and a opened bar of soap in the shower.I was in room 404, so not much of view..The windows were facing a residential building.I will definitely stay there again.

Excellent location, beautiful lobby and unit. Can’t beat having a one bedroom apartment-type unit for the price of a tiny hotel room in SF, especially when traveling with kids! Son loved the game room with old school Pac-Man and pool table.

One of the better Wyndhams. Room is modern. Shower and bedding are good. Location is awesome. A bit pushy on the owner update and quite expensive.

High quality property with excellent facilities. Eveyone was super helpful and friendly. Central location - plenty of food options nearby. Kitchen facilities were good for basic meal prep. Laundry room very handy. Just be aware that this is a Wyndham property and you will be encouraged to attend a presentation about investing in timeshare holidays. We politely declined.

Stayed here 2x while in town. One week each time. I love this place. The hotel is great, rooms are well equipped, clean, large for SF at a very good price. Staff is friendly and helpful. I look to book it every time I come back in town.

Nice place to visit a resort that catering to you

This is our 4th great stay with Wyndham Canterbury. The Staff is always friendly and helpful. This trip there was an issue with our toilet (it kept running) it was fixed immediately.

We visited this location from April 14-21, 2018Pros: The room was nice and clean. Front desk and the concierge was very nice. I mean really nice. They help with finding great places to eat and things to do.Cons: they do not offer a full kitchen like other Wyndham resorts. Also this location do not have mid week room service. We had to ask for everything.Overall my visit was great and I would visit again.

Came in with high hopes, and I gotta admit I was kinda let down by one incident. Oh well it happens I guess

I got walked here by the Hilton down the road because they overbooked. Luckily this place had room. Holy cow, super nice hotel. My room was a suite (separate bedroom from living area) with kitchenette and everything. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Nothing bad to say about the night I stayed here. Kinda wish I could stay the rest of my trip here too.

I wish I knew it was a timeshare property. Somehow I missed that when booking. Nice hotel and staff, but it means that the amenities are more tuned to vacationing families than folks traveling for business.

Fantastic first class experience! Staff here are into going above and beyond in providing each visitor with a wonderful experience. The hotel has beautiful ambiance and is one of the historically maintained properties among the Club Wyndham chain.

Besides this hotel being absolutely beautiful & pristine - the staff & location couldn’t have been better. Staff was very friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in, until we left. The location is super convenient if you want to be able to walk to any attractions or great restaurants/bars. Don’t know where you should go? Ask the staff! They were very helpful.

The accommodations were first class. However, I was asked for a $20 deposit on what was supposed to be a free breakfast, for them to give me a sales pitch on a timeshare property. if somebody cant give you a $20 deposit back why would you want to spend thousands with them on timeshare.

Its was a lovely place to stay, spacious in a good location to walk to Union Square.

So we went here for the free breakfast, which is the bait used when fishing for suckers. But lets not talk about that. The Canterbury is a beautiful old hotel. The lobby is all art decoish and done in marble. Some day Id like to explore it more.

Absolutely beautiful it was very clean, bathrooms were very nice. Bed was comfortable. Amenities were good. Only thing there is no housekeeping. Housekeeping is only done if your their more than 4 days

This is the best Wyndham Ive visited thus far. The staff was friendly and the room was gorgeous. I felt like I was somewhere in Italy. Its very unique. I had a great time and look forward to returning.

Stayed in room 405 Jan 17-21 2020. The room and hotel was very tastefully refurbished. Unfortunately, the heater in our room failed on each of the 4 nights we were there leaving us cold in the morning. The service personnel were super helpful getting it working each time but to have a handyman in our room for 20 minutes each day was not ideal. I didn’t get much from the front counter staff other than extended apologies. I would have thought after so much trouble, they would be forthcoming with some compensation - none of this eventuated. Extremely disappointed with our stay.

For the price that you spend for this hotel, youd think that they would offer a continental breakfast, a donut or something. Not at this Wyndham. Those that are able to receive a continental breakfast are those that are going to the seminar to buy into ownership. I thought that there would be a washing facility in our room as there was when we stayed at another Whyndam.

Outstanding. Its so luxurious, super clean and comfortable. Right at the heart of the city. The staff are so friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed myself at this resort, didnt want to leave.

Beautiful presidential 2 bedroom. Exquisite decor and fixtures. Cable very slow to load on server so just left TV on the whole time. Staff and concierge extremely friendly and courteous. Throughly enjoyed my six day stay!

Nice, well kept property. Bellmen are excellent. Stayed two different times in one week. Was recognized as a VIP the second stay, not the first. Requested and promised the same scent free room the second stay and did not get it. Otherwise, good experience.

My Presidentis Suite had the best view! Comfort and a full kitchen for entertaining. That double shower head was amazing! A place to detach and relax from the business world. Restaurants and entertainment in walking, bus, or Uber/Lyft close. My vacation was truly restful.

Stayed in 101 two bedroom suite. Super cute. 7am trash collection every morning knocked it down a star.

Great hotel with great service, the timeshare salespeople are super thirsty to make a sale though which was the only drawback. They offer free valet if you sit through a desperate 2 hour sales pitch.

I love this place! Its close to Union Square, the rooms are large and well maintained. The staff is wonderful.

Its a nice historic building in Nob Hill, which tends to be in a nicer part of town. Theyre very proud of their crown molding. Its nice that they have a lounge with a pool table, a foosball table and an arcade machine, for when you or the kids want to relax after an outing. They have laundry onsite, they say its complimentary. I wouldnt know, as I didnt use it. They also have a mini gym thats available 24/7 (I believe). A personal liking of mine, is the shower. They have nice common areas.As a strong positive, they are a very clean establishment.(This is the reason I increased my rating from a 3-star to a 4-star. I felt I was perhaps a bit hard. However, I do firmly believe they are not a 5-star.)I dont feel the customer service was exceptional nor great. Some people were cold and dismissive, and some others were ok/good. A negative, I called the front desk twice at about 4 AM, but no one answered (maybe it was bad timing, idk). The toilet seat needed adjusting since it moved when you sat down. I am not sure if its me, but the bed in the room seemed more like a full than a queen, which isnt right when its marketed as for sleeping two full grown adults. FYI: they charge $50 per day for parking, which I believe is average in San Francisco. (If youre just doing the tourist stuff, you dont really need a car). The room is cramped if you use the pull out bed.But in all honesty, for the cost/credits its overall not more than another hotel/establishment of the same cost. Parts of it remind me of a nice air bnb. It would have been nice if they would have had some complimentary water in the rooms (there was coffee and one bag of microwaveable popcorn).Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of the inside.

HORRIBLE website. DO NOT BOOK HERE. Absolute worst experience. The website generated its own date for me to book, and booked the completely wrong date. I have tried contacting the website multiple times to receive a refund, immediately after booking, but have not been able to reach anyone. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. THEY STOLE $200 FROM ME. Now I have to contact the bank, because there is no written confirmation of my booking OR cancelation/refund. Absolutely ridiculous.

The place is very nice and only a couple blocks from union square shopping. Got some push to be involved in the room time share meetings but nothing too crazy. Staff was friendly, place was very clean, and updated. turned out to be way nicer hotel than we originally thought.

Terrific value for the accommodations & location. Convenient to walk just about anywhere. The lemon, cucumber water and bottomless coffee in the lobby is a great touch. The room was immaculate and extremely well-appointed. And the furnishings were truly lovely. Highly recommend and will definitely book again on future visits.

Converted from hotel into timeshare property - well maintained and great location.

This is basically a time share that rents their excess as hotel rooms. The smallest suite is a one-bedroom w/a kitchenette (small fridge, microwave, sink, dishwasher, coffeemaker, and toaster. They will even bring an electric frying pan if you ask, but with so much delicious food in the area, all thats needed is the fridge and microwave for leftovers.) The bed is comfortable, but we have found that the sofa bed is a crapshoot...some good, some not. There is a well equipped work out room, a media center with a couple of computers and a large screen television. This place offers everything I need and the location cant be beaten. This is our go to place in San Francisco. I highly recommend it.

Good experience overall but deposit that was taken when checking in $100.00 US should be refunded when checking out!! Was told that it could take up to 30 days for refund as I’m Canadian which is not acceptable.

The one bedroom apartment was perfect and the location was great.

Staff is very nice and accommodating. The rooms are very nice and clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. The location is close to a lot of midtown activities. Parking is valet only and the cost is on par with the area with unlimited in and out. There is self service laundry available on site.

The staff is pleasant and the rooms are beautiful within transit and walking distance to everything.

Perfect location a lot of things are in walking distance. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Concierge gave us useful tips right after check in. Valet parking worked perfectly. Rooms were as promised and as shown on the pictures, they were very clean and had all the things we needed, stove is not in there, but a microwave and even a blender.

This place is amazing once you walk inside. Very bright and classy. Customer service is spectacular when you walk in. They greet you in and out of the door. The room we have is very classy yet hold its old fashion feel.

I have stayed at Wyndham hotels before. I had my honeymoon in a Wyndham resort in Kauai. I have worked as a tour guide and been in contact with Wyndham about our San Francisco tours with various companies. I have even given a private tour to the vice presidents family of Wyndham. My recent experience was as a pedestrian coming in to use a toilet that I knew was there because of my experience of being a tour guide. The security guard came in and shouted at me because I was not a guest at the hotel. I told him that I was a Tour Guide and got business for the hotel. He was very rude. He treated me as if I were a homeless person or vagrant that was walking in off the street. If you would not like the public to use your toilet please display a sign. If you would not like someone to use your restroom, when they leave, politely say please do not do this again. Please do not open the door so abruptly and shout. That is all I have to say about my recent experience at the Wyndham hotel.

Ihave been to this hotel in the end of Mar 2017. Overall the hotel place and price comparing to what i see is a great. It is very new hotel I believe they just renew everything. The staff are very friendly. They dont have there own garage. Ut they offer valet parking 32+tax. The have no breakfastwhich is bad. The house keeping is once every 7 days staying but they provide you with every thing you want. By the way they have washer and dryer machines complementary.

Thats a great place to stay for a few days its right in the san franiscoSo what ever you want to do is close if its the beach or base ball game or shopping theres things for everyone there.

A nice enough vacation rental~its not a hotel, as I learned upon checking in. The lady at the front desk was pleasant as she explained this, adding that since it was a vacation rental there would be no housekeeping, there was no room service, etc. My boyfriend and I were then directed to another desk which handed us a list of restaurant suggestions and maps~then began the time share hustle. 9pm at night and we were being hustled to attend a brunch about time shares the following morning! We finally got to our room and it was pleasant enough, but the following morning the phone rang and it was the time share desk asking if we were interested in attending the brunch again.

We just finished up a week stay there in a 1 bedroom suite. The staff and resort was great. The location is awesome as well. Its right in the middle of everything. You can walk just about anywhere, as long as youre in shape for lots of hills. No complaints at all.

Excellent location near so many top attractions and great restaurants. Great rooms and wonderful staff that provide excellent service. Parking is pricey at $50 a day.

The hotel was very elegant. Staff always greet you outside to help you. They always have refreshing cool beverages, like lemonade, ice tea, fruit infused water, coffee, etc., waiting for you in the lobby. Very quiet and clean place. The design throughout the hotel and rooms were elegant, warm, very clean and inviting. We would come back for sure!!

We have been to this location a couple of times. It was a very nice property with very efficient polite staff. The location in San Francisco is conducive to mass transit travel. We look forward to going again in the near future.
