They remodeled it really nice! I like how you can just choose your own drink and do it yourself cause theres a lot of options! The new layout is actually done really well! I like the whole feel. I actually really like the theater too! You can lay back all the way on the seats, which is pretty sweet! I Will go back again! Friendly staff and the bathrooms were done great as well.

We felt super safe and the place was clean. Downfall was that the signs where the movies were didnt work. Wed go back

This place has been upgraded since the last time we were here.The theaters are comfortable with the reclining seats, easy to operate, and spacious.The snack bar has been upgraded and youll pay about the same as other theaters.They have a fully stocked bar with beer and liquor, if that is your thing.I had a minor snafu with my AMC app, but I spoke to a manager and he took care of the issue right on the spot. No questions after I told him what happened.I ended up renewing my AMC Premier membership just based on the service here alone. Premier members dont pay fees ordering tickets online and when you arrive, they have a specific line just for Premier members!Restrooms were clean and handicap accessible. The 4 stars was just because there are only 1 set of restrooms and if youre at a movie at the far end, with a small child, you sort of have to rush down there and back to not miss a lot of the movie.Food choices were also great.Take advantage of the Premier membership, its most definitely worth it. Youll get you money back on just a couple of visits.Guaranteed!!Lots of pictures of various spots and amenities.And dont forget to validate your parking ticket (I believe its still 3 hours) and if you stay a little over the 3 hours, youll pay a couple of dollars in case you decide to shop.Just remember to pay for your parking before you get.to the exit at the kiosk because they dont do cash anymore.Park on Level D, it takes you straight to the theater.

This review is for the movie theater itself. The customer service was great, Bob at the ticket booth was. Very helpful and upbeat, great customer service. The girls at the concession stand were also very polite. The low rating is due to the condition of the theater: the lightning dull and somehow bothering, could be replaced with the new LED strips; the seats were uncomfortable and narrow and perhaps the definition of the movie couldve been considered poor. The sound system however was good but that theater needs some remodeling.

I love this place. Great place to watch movies but I do wish the popcorn could be better. I do like the choice of soda. I grew up with AMC but I do wish there was more then one in San Antonio.

I see several movies a month here. I travel across town just to come to this theatre. I am an AMC Stubz member. The added perks of this are great. The theatre itself is well kept. I absolutely love the seating arrangements. They are recliners with powered adjustments. The concessions are very quick. The staff is always friendly and courteous. They will validate your parking ticket too. I will keep coming back.

The staff was great and very nice! If you let them know you parked in the garage, you get a voucher that pays for up to 4 hours of parking. (Make sure you still keep your original ticket. It has to be scanned first, and then you can scan the validated ticket the theater gives you.) The theater itself was AWFUL. We happened to be shopping in the mall, so we decided to watch Star Wars. Despite it being 50 degrees outside, the theater was FREEZING. The chairs are so outdated. They are closely put together and are SO uncomfortable, and thats because we paid to see it in IMAX. Weve seen IMAX movies in Chicago and Corpus Christi. The size of the screen was not impressive. This theater is in need of some major updates. We will not return.

Great place. Very spacious, and comfortable seats. If you staying closed by and want to watch a movie this is the place to come. There are many restaurants closed by too, so you could grab lunch or dinner afterwards.

Me and my family enjoy go to AMC Rivercenter 11. Not just for the movies but the experience. The recliner seats that make you want to miss the movies because they are so comfortable. The concession is on point and prices are affordable. Last, but most importantly, the quality of sound and image is what any spectator wants. We always enjoy our visits and look forward to coming back again. Thanks for the experience.

Got tickets online. Easy walk up to machines. Enter confirmation number and tickets print out. No waiting in lines. Carpets and theatre are clean. Comfortable reclining seats. IMAX theatre is separate. Just a couple minutes from other theatre. IMAX theatre is clean and quiet.

A 12 screen multiplex. A small size theatre. But each auditorium has recliners seats. They only have less than 60 seats in my room, including handicap seats in the last row. Welldone

Everything is in walking distance and very safe plenty of things to do like the botanical gardens and the riverwalk outside and mall inside, plenty of shops and eateries, boat rides very reasonable prices a great part of history all along the area and there is something for the whole family everywhere!! I definitely recommend walking & enjoying the low 9.00, 6.00 for seniors boat ride to get pictures and map all the historical sites that you want to see, then hop off and enjoy your nice stroll around the riverwalk and if ylu get hot just step inside a store of the mall for even more to enjoy!

Theater is divided in 2 different parts located on 2 different places of the mall: the way from one to another is very badly indicated.

The seats fully recline and you can lay comfortably in the theater. I dont like that they have 2 theaters and I was told my movie was on one end of the theater to find out that it was on the other side of the mall at another theater. But other than that it was a great experience

The theater is nice but parking is expensive and it was really hot. I went to a later show and it was not too crowded which I liked. As with all theaters food and drink are overpriced. The chairs recline which is nice but they could be softer and more comfy.

Every employee provide great customer service assistance. The ticket gentleman was so patient today when we went to see a movie 11am. The young lady taking our tickets upon entering the movie was very polite. We enjoyed the movie which was a birthday celebration outing. Someone passed out right by my chair. Not sure who this person was? I advised the usher of the issue. I wanted to sit back in my seat, however the usher advised me to sit anywhere until the person moved?

I have hips! Im plus size and the seats are not comfortable at all! Screens are good and seating view is good Id rather go to the Mayan where theyve added reclining seats and are comfortable.

The staff was friendly. The screen was good but some of the seats were badly torn. You can refill your drink so thats something new and nice. Its a great place to spend the hottest part of the day.

Choosing AMC over local chains is worth the drive. For a morning movie, you cannot beat the price. Overall the theaters are more up to date than the competition, and I enjoy being able to recline; it makes sitting up in the front rows more tolerable than standard seating. When you do go, do not forget to validate your parking - under three hours is free. The drive is quite long, otherwise I would also make use of their rewards program...

You would think this theatre would be the bomb right? No. those were some of the oldest seats that didn’t recline or do anything but hurt your back! It was super squished and uncomfortable. The biggest plus i had was the free popcorn for my birthday ️

The movie experience was great, theater had had great pictures and sound. The reason for the one rating is it had no recliner as stated plus arm rest was wobbling and fell off and worst part is I got bit by a flea or bed bug. Will never return to this theater again.

Walking in I thought this might be a good experience until. We got inside the concession area and it was hot. Didn’t feel like the a/c was even on.Went to our theatre hoping it would be better but, no! Still hot and sticky inside the theatre.Decided to go get a couple of drinks to hopefully cool down. $7.03 for a 44ounce drink after I stood in line behind 7 other customers with one very slow cashier working. Now I must mention the other 8-9 employees seemed to be unaware there were customers as they just wondered aimlessly except for one or two behind the counter who would occasionally look at the line then look away..Looked like a manager was walking around carrying a schedule and I only mention him because he said it was a schedule to someone as he walked right in front of our bling line with the single cashier.Now, after I finally got to the front of the line realized I was about to get ripped off for drinks I decided I only needed one drink due to the ridiculous price.After I got my $7 cup, I walked over to the two drink machines where 4 people were standing in line waiting for the only drink machine that was working.This is the one and only time I will visit this location.And for that matter if AMC has gone to pricing like this I think I’ll either start smuggling in my own drinks or just stick to reasonable prices theaters.

They need to make the food lines more distinct as to which line is for what. I had people cut in front of me because they pretended to not know that was for the frequent movie goers. The staff saw them cutting and didnt say anything to them!

Nice theater, all recliners for chairs with comfortable cushion and you can kick your feet up if you choose to... Its the first movie theater like this I been in... You also choose you seat so no switching unless empty!!! Matinee prices are great, I paid $4.79 for Dark Phenix you should come plus its in the mall

Very nice theater with comfortable reclining seats. The folks behind the snack counter were polite, professional and welcoming - it felt as if my business was really appreciated. We had the caramel-coated popcorn which was out of this world. It costs a little more, but was worth it.

Watch out for attack birds. This is a beautiful mall with access from the street and the river walk. It has a food court and an IMAX theater. They also have a pokemon store.

Needs more signs. No one at customer service. Turns out auditoriums 10&11 are separate from 1-9, like on the other side of the mall. It would have been nice to know that before I got to the concession stand. Then, once I got to where I was supposed to be, there was only one ticket taker, the line stretched out the door. No one said line starts here. Definitely not doing that again. AMC needs a theater closer to me.

My go to theater, and Ive never once had a bad showing. The screen is always clean and crisp in quality, the seats are very cozy for regular shows but the IMAX theater seats are a bit dated, and more rigid but not that terrible. Aisles are kept clean and the staff is always polite snd courteous. Wish the prices were lower for food. Love it!

I love this theater and the employees. We went to see a movie and I had gotten the tickets online. We had a mixup and they helped us so we could all see the movie. Ive gone there for several movies. AMC has the best seats. The IMAX seats are smaller and more traditional. I would recommend this theater to anyone in San Antonio. Excellent customer service and very clean.

I would give four stars but there should be some updating of the seats. Most theaters are going to a recliner system, even smaller theaters I’ve been to and would assume it as a must since this is an imax. The popcorn was fine but could have been fresher. Other than that the theater seems clean and is as good as any other standard theater

I love this theater!!! Its a little weird to have it split up across a mall but regardless I love coming here! I come here almost every weekend because Im an A list member but everyone is always to nice and accomodating. The only thing Id change is the fact that its 100 degrees outside and I have to carry a sweatshirt with me to wear in the IMAX theater because Im shivering!!!! It doesnt need to be that cold! Im too busy thinking of how cold I am to enjoy the movie.

Phenomenal experience. Wasnt aware that they had a Tuesday special for stubs members. (Free program) was able to get tickets for $5. Took the offspring To see scary stories to tell in the dark. First time here and I was actually very impressed! I didnt know there was 2 separate theater areas but a very nice employee escorted us through the mall to make sure we made it without confusion, SUPER nice of him!!! Theater we were in was very clean and comfortable, snacks from concession area were all great, a long with every employee we had contact with! Overall we were extremely pleased with our experience and will come back when we can!!

Watched Alladin. When we initially walked in to the theatre it felt very muggy and humid. Other than that everything else was good. Service was good,chairs were comfortable and movie quality was great. Dont forget to stamp your Rivercenter parking garage ticket at the ticket booth for free parking.

Awesome theater very clean

This theater was difficult to find the first time but nice recliners. Although we had to clean them before sitting in them (very sticky). We didn’t watch IMAX but watched regular screen and it was a great picture quality. I didn’t like that a lot of the seats are starting to rip and look worn. Overall it was a good experience and right by the riverwalk, so convenient to walk to after a day outside.

This is by no means the closest theater to me. We pass at least 2 others just to come to this one. Its always clean, all the staff is polite and we are there pretty often. Keep up the good work!

Went to the Meg 3-D, the movie experience was epic. The only issue was after ordering tickets online when we arrived at the theater they had to track down the scanner so we went to the concession counter, great customer service there, but when we tried to go into the theater they were having trouble with the scanner working. I do not blame anyone but would simply recommend a different process for the people ordering online tickets if the scanner is this difficult. Still 5 stars!

Really nice theatre. A little hard to find, three different entrances on three different levels for the different theatres. Nice comfortable recliners.Staff was fantastic, and very helpful in helping me find the correct entrance for the theatre I wanted to go to.Free parking is pretty much non existent. I suggest taking the bus, Uber or a scooter. Or just pay for parking.

What can I say this is a great movie theater the seats are comfortable the staff is courteous and friendly. They had a lovely girl take care of us when we came to get our tickets she was so courteous. I think her name is Gianni. I come here quite often and I would recommend it to anybody its a jewel.

They need to advertise where the movies are located. Apparently they have an upper floor and lower floor and I bought my stuff on the lower floor and I had to walk a long ways to the upper floor with my popcorn and soda....just walking by department stores....trailing popcorn as I try and find the entrance to the upper floor movies....goodness people! What a maze!

Most comfortable seating ever!! Seats recline and are supper comfy with alot of room. Im also pregnant so if your looking to go watch a movie without your legs swelling up this is the place for you!

So at the time, we were on a family trip. And this place is great. And they are one place that has a free public bathroom. In the stores I think and throughout the mall. Nicely convenient for those who are walking through the streets. It has a bunch of nice places to go to as a Mall should. Lots of clothing places and I dont think they have any Microsoft or known electronic store. They got your basic restaurants like taco bell and chick-fil-a. Every other restaurant that you probably never heard of is garbage. I tried the Louisiana food, garbage. Tried the Italian pizza- sucks. Not even real pepperoni in there, its just Ham.

The best theater of all time.. lol I like that people actually have respect when your watching a movie. Staff is courteous and the popcorn is always fresh. Definitely recommend

Had. To wait for the room to be cleaned. The tickets said the movie starts at 6:30 so we got there early. And we had to wait in the waiting room till they finished cleaning. The commercial s were running while we waited. The movie didnt start till after 7 pm. So why post that a movie starts at 6:30 when in reality it doesnt start till 7:30

This is by far the best theater I’ve been to... yes better than Casablanca! The couples seat are so comfortable, I can literally recline all the way back and still see the movie! I don’t think too many people know about how great this theater is... selfishly, I’m enjoying that for now.

This movie theater is clean and well maintained. Theater rooms are modern with comfortable seating and very spacious. Staff is friendly. Concessions are a bit pricey But thats true to any movie theater now a days also the line for the concessions was too long. Me and my gf had a good time though. Not the first time at this theater and wont be the last.

This is my favorite movie theater in town. The seats are very comfortable and everything is always clean. The curved screens and sound system are excellent. I would recommend reserving your seat a day or two ahead so you get the best seats possible and not the ones on the end. Either way, this place is definitely worth 5 stars!

Its a pretty good theater. Its divided over multiple floors, which can make finding your theater a little tricky. The theater we were in was very small. It had the AMC nice recliners. They have an IMAX there if, you want a larger screen. Its inside the Rivercenter Mall so, there a lots of nearby restaurants and shopping. If you use the AMC app it would be a really easy theater to deal with. If you dont, you could likely have to purchase your ticket on one floor and then travel 2 floors up to make it to your theater. If you purchased your ticket on the app then you can just use your phone at any of the floors ticket takers.

Loved the IMAX, however, the concession can be a little better. The popcorn was extremely salty, which was disappointing, especially knowing the money necessary to purchase. I couldnt even finish it. However, the IMAX movie experience was very good.

Best theatre in town. The seats are very comfortable because they are huge lazy chairs. The chairs have a button for reclining and are joined with twos in mind. The set-up is reserved seating. The place is inside of a mall, so you are allowed to bring in bags with food. Above d busy days like holidays and summer weekends unless you like the rush of large crowds.

Awesome place cheap prices and God I love the reclining theater chairs. Highly recommend if in downtown and want to watch a movie while relaxing.

Slow. No customer service. You have to stand in line for 45 minutes to get a ticket from a kiosk and then even more time to get popcorn. Why dont they have people working or more than just 2 kiosk? The theater itself is nice which is why I give it any stars at all.

We went to see joker the movie was great but we were so uncomfortable the seats were to small and we had to keep our less and arms tucked the whole time, no room to move around . not going there anymore the other theater ther has reclining seats and is less compact. We just made a bad choice with I max.

Bad customer service from cashier and supervisor/manager. Had to ask for a receipt and credit card reader wasnt working. Cashier couldnt work register and didnt return gift card being used for payment. Over priced concession. Only one beverage machine working for a mid-day Saturday showing and popcorn wasnt fresh.
