Update: 3/3/20 There is a fire in the Santa Ana Riverbed. Stay safe. What a beautiful, FLAT, green place to take a leisurely walk in nature! Took my 8-year-old niece on a weekday and just saw a couple of other hikers and horseback riders. The best part of Hidden Valley is the spectacular views of the green hills and snow-capped mountains in the distance. I visited in late January. The Nature Center is only open to the public on Saturdays from 10-4. It’s open Tuesday-Friday by appointment only. The entire road to it was actually closed for maintenance when I visited. Parking is $5 on the honor system.

This is a great place to hike. Head to the nature center and even if it isnt open they have fun areas around the center for kids to play.

This is a nice place to take your kids. Its an educational experience, and if you check them out online, you can see what events are coming up in the near future. The park is inside hidden valley, at the end of the drive. Every time I take my son, I make sure to hit the trails, sometimes all the way to the river, and walk around the nature center. The park and nature center are always clean, and the people Ive encountered here, hiking, cycling, horseback riding, or whatever, are almost always friendly. Definitely worth it to spend a day here, or even just a few hours.

Beautiful spot but I would like to see it be more maintained. A couple years ago there was many ponds probably about 10 now there’s on 1 and it’s just a small puddle I wish that one day they get refilled and the park is more maintained and overgrown than how it used to be. I am also curious about this weird house in the feild

I liked the way the trails have been carved into the natural terrain, snaking down toward the pond level. I sat on a bench that was well situated, facing an amazing picturesque, framed view, watching birds of wide variety of species flying and landing on the tree s canopies. I was impressed by The collection of fossils, as well as the sky and land animals specimens that were on display at nature center hall. it was an enjoyable and educational experience. The staff there was very nice and responsive to my questionings about the animals on display and the park.

The horse trails are awesome. Bamboo tunnels create a 10 deg cooler ride in the summer and plenty of sandy dry areas to ride in the winter. I feel lucky I live in Norco and have this great place to ride in..

Rode horses today down in the preserve, the trails where impassable had to turn around. No shade as trees have been previously sprayed to kill the bamboo and they were killed also.

Hidden Valley is a beautiful nature center with a great set of bike trails, event center grounds for many organizations like boys and girls clubs that can be reserved. Also, there are horseback trails. Its in a nice quiet location even with its close proximity to major freeways. A must visit to local residents and visitors to the area.

I went as a parent volunteer for my sons kindergarten field trip and it was great! The tour guides were very friendly and patient with the kids. They are very charismatic in the way they educate the children. They had a whole program planned out, we had an arts and craft part, a feel and learn time with different insects, the children were able to see insect parts through a microscope, we had a mild very child amicable hike where we saw frogs and differwnt animal prints. We were able to have lunch there, the facilities were very clean. Our guides were Sammy and Louis they are exceptional!
