This place is beautiful but unfortunately the people that come and visit arent all that concerned about picking up after themselves. There is trash on most of the trail up the river. Other than that if you could ignore that this place is quite peaceful during this time of year great to have the dogs off leash and let them have some fun as well.

What a wonderful place. Weve been here twice in the span of two or three weeks. Tip, bring a wagon with large Wheels. Makes it easier to bring all the necessary items. Even though we travel light, I still offer to help my family to bring their stuff from the parking lot so its a tip I guess for them LOL

Its a nice place to hang with the family. Bring chairs, some form of shade and food and drinks to last the day. Its really quite pretty, with the trees and the sandy beaches. On our way out, we picked up some trash. Maybe you can too, if you decide to visit. Thx for reading.

I loved IT here the water was super clear not too deep for the kiddos but enough to get your whole body wet... its like going to the beach only safer ! Good to spend some quality time and theres enough parking and a bathroom so thats great !

It’s littered with glass along the 1-mile stretch of river I walked up so be careful if your kids try to play in the sand. Water is up to 3’ deep in some areas but is typically around 3-4”. Quite a bit of trash along the rivers edge and I can only imagine all of the wastewater that collects into the river; I wouldn’t advise dunking your head in, maybe just a feet-in-the-water kind of river. Also, heads up on homeless encampments, wouldn’t want to startle some of these people as they may get aggressive. Good luck!

Its a nice place to take your toddlers to splash in the River, not a swimming area. Tips dont forget your ez up, chairs, and picnic foods. No grilling allowed; theres no signs saying so. 7am to 7pm Hours. Parking is small first come first serve, or you will have to park around the neighborhood. Its a bit of a longer walk to the river. Dont forget to pick up after your self theres big trash barrels at entrance of River. The water is nice and warm not cold like the Beach. A wonderful place to spend the day with your family.

Really cool place. Especially for kids, the water is not deep nor cold. It gets warm to the point that you dont want to get out the water. We had a blast. Time pases by fast!!! Just be aware that it gets crowded!!! Good thing rangers are checking constantly to make sure people dont have loud music or throwing trash they even ask you if you need trash bags. This is a PLUS to keep that place clean. Even though irresponsible drunk people do throw beer glass bottles into the water because we found a lot of pieces of glass in the water. This is the only thing that had me concerned.

We just came Back from there it was closing and a park ranger by the name of ryan, he wouldnt say his last name or give us his badge number. He walked up on us and another group really fast as if he was going to try to put hands on us, saying if we entered he would give is a 200 dollar ticket. My hisband didnt hear him and said,What did you say? And he said if you go In there I have a ticket for you, in fact do you want a ticket I got one with your name on it right now Ah we werent even in the park so how could he give us a ticket and he walked up on us really fast as we were leaving and said we ran up on him and threatened him!!Omg it was so ridiculous as we were leaving he kept agitating my husband saying things to try to get a reaction out of him, probably to entice a physical altercation,. He followed us out and then said he called the cops on is. As I watched him video tape us I said really loud were not trying to argue with him and he said I was threatening him as well. Which I wasnt. We didnt know if we should leave or what because he said he had our vehicle number. He was describing my husband to someone on his phone, so we called 911 as well due to the fact he was the aggressive one.Come to find out he never called no one and was simply lying pretending to talk to someone on his phone. The 911 dispatch said just leave because there were no callsWe seen some sheriffs on the way out and spoke to them and they confirmed as well there were no call made!Total jerk with no common sense! Companys really need to watch who they hire! And this is for you ryan learn some customer service skills or find a job parking cars! You clearly dont have what it takes to work with the public!
