Lovely place to chill during the summer. Plenty of space and ample tree cover. Just be sure to bring a blanket as seating is limited. The northern portion isnt as nice, I generally prefer staying a few blocks south of Burnside.

Gorgeous place to watch the cherry blossoms. The colors during a bright sunny day are amazing and worth the wait. This beautiful spectacle only happens once a year and lasts for two weeks but its so worth it! Families come here with their kids and walk around or just sit under the shade of a tree and relax. Tourists can also be seen here as well as couples and friends just meeting for a chat. Others come here to run or bike around and be weird. It is lovely and just what Portland is all about.

Theres some playgrounds there that you can let your kids play on.Theres a plenty of Pokemon stops in Pokemon around if you want to play Pokemon while youre there.I hope you enjoy yourself while youre there. Please if you would follow me or like my review it would really help me cuz Im trying to move up with my Google badges. It will also encourage me to do more used go to other places to try other things.

This is a great park - wonderfulviews and a nice place to visit when in Portland, especially on a sunny day. Unfortunately it is also filled with homeless and there is tons of evidence of drug use all around, which unfortunately makes it not very family friendly. It is unfortunate, but dont think well be visiting any time soon with our two small kids.

This is one of the places that really makes Portland. The views are phenomenal and its very walkable. The bridges are all unique. Theres a marina on the South end of the path, and shops/ restaurants. Further north on the roughly one mile walk theres boat rides. Ive been on a jetboat, and Portland Spirit river cruise. On a clear day its wonderful, but always worth seeing.

I had a very pleasant run here. I ran alone and wasn’t bothered at all. There are multiple loops you can take if you cross the bridges in the area. The path is shared by bikers so it’s important to be aware of their presence. The views of the river from the banks and from the bridges were lovely even in the cold and rain. I didn’t see very many bathrooms or any water fountains in the park.

It would be a beautiful place but the city has let the homeless sleep wherever they want so you see bums, yes bums because I have been homeless before but I found a way to stay clean and get a job so I could get out of the situation but these people are filthy and they litter and have no respect for others or the city itself, so they are all over this park and the streets nearby. And the streets smell like piss. Its so sad that this area is like this. It could be so much more.

Street people and trash all over. Not a place to bring the family for a picnic. Very sad to see such a historic and beautiful place in such disarray. Has to be one of the best downtown parks in the country. On sunny days that is. Its like everybodys there. Parking is a pain but the walk there is worth it. The city is remarkably clean, even with all of the outside rural living quarters found throughout. Everyone loves being out doors.

This park is so nice. Great views the whole way. Wide walking & biking paths allow plenty of space for transportation. There are only a few spots with bad traffic noise but mostly the nose is drowned out by either the river or public fountains and wading areas. Tons of friendly geese and pigeons at all times of day. Not aggressive like some birds in other parks - bring some grain for them and they love you! There are a few urban camping enthusiasts in the park, but none that seemed threatening. Maybe it was just due to the sunny weather, but everyone seemed chilled out and happy to enjoy the park.

Although the Tom McCall Waterfront Park had an absolutely gorgeous view of the two bridges and the water, the atmosphere was less than ideal. The grass was super dry and gross. If you like a view of a river with more city on the other side, then its nice. Lots of homeless hang around or camp underneath the bridges in the area, but most are harmless and mind their own business. Its a nice place to walk, bike, jog, picnic, and take your kids for park related activities.

I absolutely love the waterfront! Wether you are going down there for a lovely stroll, or a specific venue, it cant be beat! There is almost always something happening down there! Ive been down there on a multitude of occasions, but most recently I went for the pride festival 2017!! It was such a spirited event filled with love and kindness all around! Of course right along the waterfront like every weekend(March through Christmas eve) was Saturday market! Which we also paid a visit to for some amazing food!! Great sights, sounds, smells. Handmade items for sale, what more could you ask for! All around great experience!I guess the only thing I would warn anyone about would be plan on paying to park, and walking alot!! Or taking public transit. Be prepared to see quite a few homeless people around because they are around down there, but they are no bother, they are actually friendly!

My husband and I just walked the waterfront for the 1st time since moving here in July and had such a great time!! It was a beautiful day and the water was so nice to be next to. The walkways are nice and wide so theres more than enough room for everyone to get through. Theres a cool looking maritime museum that was closed when we were there but we plan on going back to check it out. 1 star is knocked down because of the smell when you go under the bridge where that old sewage plant is. Im not sure if its up and running or not but that threw off our carefree vibe lol otherwise though it was great!

One of the best places to go for a walk if in Portland. This place has a lot of events going on during the summers and you will find a lot of people waking by, running or biking. You can rent the Nike orange bikes across the street or there is one more bike rental at the park itself. There are a lot of options for ship rides. Check availability and pre-book. The famous one is the Columbia River Gorge scenic tour. You can view fireworks during 4th of July from this place. At the end of the park is a jetty for motorboats and you can walk until there. The only turn off is the green grass areas are it well maintained and a lot of geese poop around at times.

The Portland Christmas Ship Parade is truly spectacular!****************At almost 37 Acres big, Tom McCall Waterfront Park has been named one of America’s ten greatest public spaces. It has helped beautify downtown Portland and sits along the Willamette River. My family first became acquainted with it on a visit over a decade ago on the Fourth of July. The festivals, food, and fireworks were all just so spectacular!Since then we’ve moved to Tigard and have been to the Park plenty of times: on route to the Portland Saturday Market, to rent bikes from Wheel Fun Rentals, to see the world’s smallest park (Mill Ends Park), to take a Helicopter Tour (Oregon Helicopters), to eat at such fantastic restaurants such as Dar Salaam and Rovente Pizzeria, to walk our dogs, listen to music, etc.We even rode our rented quad-bike over Tilikum Crossing Bridge and saw some fantastic views of the city and then crossed over to the side where OMSI and the USS Blueback Submarine are.A must-visit Park any time of year!!!
