This is truly an outstanding ride. They do a fantastic job with the theme all the way through the line which is actually worth waiting in to see the various items throughout. The ride itself is a great deal of fun. It was a ton of people and moves almost continuously. That is a great feature to have.Spoiler alert. One thing to be on the lookout for is the spider. When you see it, it squirts water at you. Once you’ve experienced it, you know what to expect. The first time through, however, it can be a surprise.

This ride is fun but somewhat anticlimactic. The simulation feels pretty real but would be better with a 3D feature. The restraints are a bit much as well, as the ride doesn’t really invert at any point.

Very good effort to replicate Hogwarts and the experience while waiting in line is quite nice for Harry Potter fans. On the other hand, the simulator makes you dizzy and its not the most thrilling in the parks. All in all, would recommend if you dont have to wait more than 30 minutes or 60 if you are big big Harry Potter fan.

This attraction is different compared to the other attractions at Universal which I really like. I do though wish in some of the scenes they made it so that we dont see the other attraction vehicle when flying in the air. Making you see this vehicle takes you out of the perspective of being on the broom. With how creative the Harry Potter imaginers are, I think it would have been nice if they added the cafeteria from the school to the castle. Make it a reservation only system with decently priced food though, nothing expensive where it would cost $30 - 100 per person. Maybe an average about $20 per person. The second issue I have are the lockers. If you come during busy hours you can lose your spot in line and that could lead to longer wait times. Especially in this attraction, the queue lines are ridiculously long something like youd find in Flight of Passage. If this ride every does get a refresh, it would be interesting to see an actual broom stick vehicle, like Hagrids motorbike or Trons cycle where we sit one behind another and just fly through the scenes like normal.

This ride is all around amazing. The queue is so detailed and true to the films that it makes you feel like you really are a student at Hogwarts. And the ride itself is probably the most fun out of any ride in Orlando in my opinion. Just be aware if you have a problem with dizziness or Vertigo you may have a hard time on this ride.

I’m going to start out by saying this is one of my all time favorite rides ever. It took me 3 tries to actually get the courage to get on it, but when I did... I most certainly didn’t regret it. Two girls let me go on with them and I’m very thankful for them because I probably wouldn’t have got on without them. This ride is terrific. Some parts might be a bit scary for younger people such as (SMALL RIDE SPOILER:) a part with dementors and a part with spiders. The spiders can be a bit creepy and they spray stuff at you, which is just water for anyone who is concerned. At the dementor part they just get really close to your face and it can be a bit startling. The ride is sort of like the Jimmy Fallon ride except instead of only screens it does move and have animatronics as well as screens. The seating is very safe and it only goes sideways and puts you on your back. It seems like you go upside down but even if you do it’s for less than a second and you barely notice with everything else going on. If you’re scared just think about the scenery and all that was put into the scenery. That’s what one of the girl’s told me and it worked 100%. 10/10 recommend.

The cue line for the ride is one of the most interesting and engaging of the whole park. Lots of magical talking paintings. The ride doesnt require 3D glasses but the screen segments are still very realistic. The movement of the actual ride itself is pretty thrilling too, even for a non-coaster.

Review №11

While this is one of my favorite Universal attractions, its not without flaws. If youre prone to motion sickness this ride is not for you. Unlike a roller coaster, this rides motions feel unnatural and chaotic. You will often find yourself on your side, looking up on your back, or staring at a screen, usually with your vision obscured. The seats are somewhat claustrophobic. And if youre afraid of spiders or have arachnophobia, steer clear of this ride. There is a long section after the dragon sequence with large spiders up close, in darkness, with flashing lights, thunder, and webs.If youre not claustrophobic, arachnophobic, or easily sickened, you will definitely enjoy this ride. The special effects are excellent, the setpieces are elaborate, the screens look great, the monsters look scary, the story is fun and easy to follow, and all of the fan favorite Wizarding World characters are in it. The queue through Hogwarts castle is also beautiful and close to the films with nostalgic music.

Ride itself was great. All of the production was INCREDIBLE! As a HP fan, you can’t ask for anything more. However, the ride barely fits an average size male adult. They need to do better with making this ride and the HP rides more specifically, easier to accommodate taller and wider hiped patrons. We also had to wait an additional 20 minutes once we got to the the loading zone because the staff were just letting anyone they wanted, get into the car.

This ride has amazing mechanics and storyline. The way that your vehicle moves along with the ride makes it feel as if I am actually in the world of Harry Potter. Not only that, but the end of the ride puts me in a good mood every time... since they clap for your bravery. There is also a gift shop at the exit of the ride. However, I must warn... if you are prone to motion sickness, this ride might not be for you. But overall, I will definitely revisit this when I come back to Islands of Adventure!

The ride which you ll never forget... HP lovers gonna love this...Fantastic ride. Lots of twists and turns. Universal kicked it up with this one. This ride mandates that things must be stowed away in the lockers provided at the entrance. Locker is free and it is in sync with your waiting time till you come back so dont worry ;). we have visited this in off season so it was only 10 minutes wait for us and as we read the reviews before going ( like as soon you enter the park, go back to the end of the park which is Hogsmeade village) so we did not face much crowd and enjoyed this ride twice within 30 minutesOn your way to the ride inside the castle, you get to see the talking and moving portraits, go by dumbledores office to the defense against dark arts classroom. Dumbledores office is marvelous with each and every detail in place. The film is breathtaking and the mixture of animatronics and film make the ride even more unique. This is the game changer for Universal Studios! The ride is simulated one, surrounded by screens that simulate flying alongside Harry around Hogwarts until you encounter a dragon. You are then swung through another series of set pieces that include a fire (smoke) breathing dragon. You also encounter the spiders from the forbidden forest (one spits water at you) and the Whomping Willow. The next simulation footage is of the Quidditch pitch that eventually swarms with dementors. The next series of set pieces is of dementors. You then end by flying back to Hogwarts, where you are greeted by the Harry Potter cast and Hogwarts students congratulating you. You then use floo powder to travel back to where you began. Be sure to practice your Patrons Charms before you get here...youll need it! The magic world is in your hands!Rating - 9/10

This is another 4D coaster at Universal, and to be honest, my favorite of all the 4D rides at Universal Studios. It utilizes a claw like seating structure that suspends from a ball bearing pivot like arm. This allows the ride to pull you up, down, and all around. Keep in mind these movements are subtle and smooth. The ride utilizes screens and environmental effects to obtain more of the simulated movement. The castle experience is well designed and definitely puts you into the Harry Potter world! Love it.Lines can be extremely long here, especially during when schools are out. Please make sure to come early and get this out of the way before the day progresses. You get to listen to Dumbledore, Harry, Ron, Hermoine and others. At the end of the line you get to meet the sorting hat. This ride was AMAZING. The best ride from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. They make it feel like you are on a broomstick and following Harry in and out of Hogwarts (the ride is IN Hogwarts) with 3D screens all around you for most of the ride, and it is incredible! Considering that this is the most intense ride from the Wizarding World, it is still not that bad at all, because I definitely dont like big rides and I loved this one - the little fear I had while riding it was washed away by how great it was. So, for those who are scared like me : Dont worry, there is no upside down 360°! I highly recommend this ride: you absolutely have to try it! I would have tried it again if the line wasnt so long : If you want to do this attraction, the best thing to do would be to get to the park right when it opens or even with early park admission and rush to the castle, cause the queue can get up to 2 hours or even more during the day. But dont get scared by a 30 minutes queue: while waiting, you get to visit Hogwarts, and it is really cool! Note that you have to leave you bags in a locker. If you need a bigger locker, it costs 2$. But in the end, it is still a ride so if you have a lot of motion sickness of intense epilepsy (because if the 3D screens), I would not recommend it.

SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW! They tried to fit everything Harry Potter into this ride! It’s a very unique ride experience but not quite as immersive as I wanted. Let’s start at the beginning. The Hogwarts Castle looks amazing - so impressive as you walk into Hogsmeade. The locker experience in the middle of the line was terrible (and we went on a day that wasn’t too crowded). The queue was awesome being in Hogwarts and seeing the talking pictures and being in the classroom and common room. Excellent theming. Now to the actual ride. Neither my wife nor I knew anything about this ride. I hate spoilers so I didn’t look up the ride beforehand. I had no idea what the ride was as I got into the sideways-moving seats. I’ve been to a lot of theme parks around the world and never been on a ride like this! A mix of real animatronics and cinematography. Not quite as immersive as I expected. We could see the other seats ahead/behind us at times which really pulled us out of the experience. And we saw the animatronics reset after scaring us. I could see beyond the edge of the screen to the track and the robotic arm that the seats were attached to. The ride included so much Harry Potter in it, it’s as though they weren’t expecting to make any more Harry Potter rides in the park! Quidditch, flu powder, dragons, dementors, Hagrid, Aragog, Harry and friends... Instead of leaving with magical memories I left feeling queasy (and I don’t get sick on rides) and wondering what just happened. Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. We enjoyed the Escape from Gringotts ride much more.

Im going to give 5 stars even though the locker situation in the beginning sucks. I think that if they were to change the lockers (which are needed) to something less crowded and easier accessible, the ride would be more enjoyable overall. Not to wild, but the integration of technology with the ride in the form of video screens was amazing.
