During your wait in line, you get to see clips featuring the Simpsons throughout. They slowly tell a bit of a story as some context for the ride. The wait isnt too bad either, and the clips make it feel even faster. The actual ride is pretty nice, its not an actual roller coaster but you do get shaken around a bit while watching the video and while that doesnt explain it too well, Id say this is definitely a ride worth checking out.

Great line with lots of Simpsons details to amuse you while you wait. Entertaining story in ride. Photo ops with characters. Unfortunately, of all the rides in the park, this one has the worst motion sickness rating. If you dont get cat sick, this ride gets top marks

One of the kiddos favorite rides. One of the reasons that we visited Universal Studios! They changed up the before ride videos, that was fun to see some up to date shows.Pandemic rules in place make the wait longer than other rides. But, you feel safe and everything stays very clean.

This used to be the Back to the Future ride. Its a really great conversion that feels 100% Simpsons. Love the giant Krusty head. They changed the cars somewhat so you dont see other groups of riders, and dont hear other groups, which is cool & makes a better experience.Only complaint is it gets hot in the final waiting area before you board the ride. The whole Simpsons area is really great. Better than expected.

Enjoyed the 4D aspect of it, but the movement of the machine with the giant screen made me a little queezy. Rollercoasters and rides like Men in Black did not give me the same feeling as this ride. I love the Simpsons, and I thought they did very well making this into a ride though.

Superb Simulation after fast & Furious... One of my favorites at universal studios!we have visited this in off season so it was only 10 minutes wait for us. Lucky us :) as people have waited even 2-3 hours for this ride in peak seasonLove the simulator. When we got on the line, it was moving pretty slowly, but after about 20 minutes they opened up a new line for us and we were the first ones who got to head up the ramps. I love how they have constant clips running throughout the time youre in the queue. Simulated motion with Simpsons characters that Interact with you via video while youre in the interior queue. when we were in the lift, they show a cartoon and it was hilarious. After the little video in the room, you move on to the ride. You sit in a little car that tosses and turns during the simulation. It was like the whole room became a video. It was constant movement, which eventually got to me, but the video was great. The funny storyline and you really feel like youre in the video.the ride itself is a simulated ride, but it is great and will bounce you around even more than Spiderman. In fact, I believe it might be the best-simulated ride in the park along with Fast & Furious. You fly through Springfield and meet all the characters and have a wild experience. up and down, feels like your stomach is empty. You sit in a giant Krusty with two rows of 4, the ride goes up and down to a simulated roller coaster with a lot of stop-and-goes along the way. Even though its a simulated ride, and an animated cartoon, its so amazingly realistic that you feel as if you are on a moving coaster. Drops, dips, crazy movements.I cant be 100% sure, but this felt like one of the longer rides in the park and for a 20-minute wait it was well worth itRating - 9/10

Worst ride at the park. I got a headache, was nauseous, my neck hurt for a full day afterwards, and the animation felt old like the simpsons video game from back in the 00’s.10/10 would completely avoid this ride.I’m no wimp either, the mummy was smoother even when they slam on the breaks at the false ending before the mummy coaster continues... I would so much rather ride a real coaster than this bs excuse for an attraction. The simpsons ride - It’s like being at a movie except the cgi is worse than sharknado, and you get tons and tons of whiplash in your plastic bench seat.

WHY replace Back to the future the ride. I know The simpsons tv show is good but why Back to the future the ride. the simpsons ride moves like star tours but in back to the future moves like a regular movie simulator. I like the restaurants and stores of springfield but not the ride. so whatever you do BRING BACK BACK TO THE FUTURE THE RIDE!!!!!!!!

Love this ride being a fan on The Simpson’s and some of the 3D motion rides at Universal. It’s action packed plenty of going on and a great feeling of being there and on a ride too.The only bad point and reason i gave it 4 instead of 5 rating is the seating setup, if your sat in front it’s x10s better compared to the rear seats where people in front obstruct your view especially my 10 year old who struggled more to see with tall group of adults sat in front... It needs rear seats risen to give people at the rear a less obstructive view whilst on the ride.

This was the first ride I done in universal and I went back on 3 times in total. Its brilliant and like nothing you have seen before. Its so realistic and you actually feel like you on a rollercoaster. If you a Simpsons fan make sure you dont miss this ride. Perfect ride for people who are scared of the big ones. Still very thrilling but very safe at the same time

It was a fun old school simulator. It is not in 3d, nor does it have air ir water blowing on you to simulate movement. As one of the attendants described it, You look at a movie screen and are bounced around. I would think of it as a gateway ride to introduce children to 4d rides.

This was surprisingly one of the better motion simulators. The ride is not on a track, but still had a pretty good motion simulator effect. The ride was fairly intense for a motion simulator, which I really enjoy. The short wait time made it even better!

This was our second time doing the R.I.P tour. Our tour guide Logan was excellent! He really did an amazing job with our group. He explained every Maze and Zone in full detail. He even went though each one with us. Our tour guide last year didnt go through each one with us and it really makes a difference. The best part of the tour is no waiting in line for anything. It is worth every penny and we will be doing the R.I.P tour again next year

One of the funniest rides at Universal hands down, the whole themed Springfield area around it is just as great.*SPOILERS AHEAD*For those of you unfamiliar with it, The Simpsons Ride follows “America’s favorite family” as they visit Krustyland, Krusty the Clown’s brand new amusement park. However, Sideshow Bob, their old nemesis, has broken out of prison and is on the loose in the park. As you’re selected to test Krusty’s newest ride, Bob hijacks the park and takes control of your vehicle. From that point on you’re in for the ride of your life as you soar across Springfield and beyond attempting to escape Bob’s traps by any means necessary. The most hilarious part in my opinion is the ride’s climax, where Maggie (now 50ft tall due to nuclear radation) gets her pacifier taken by Bob and grabs the vehicle to use as a substitute. When this happens a baby powder scent is sprayed into the vehicle and you get spat out and splashed with water. Though it’s nowhere near as good as the Harry Potter attractions, it’s still a real treat.

When I first went on this ride, I wasnt too impressed by the wait time, as it ended up being longer than the actual wait time. When we got on the ride, it actually ended up being shorter than the original time I rode it. Not only that, but it also became less intense than the original version. This is why this review is receiving 4 stars from me. But overall, this is a very fun motion simulator that I think people of all ages should ride.P.S. Watch the pre-show when you are in the standby line. Its hilarious! :-)

A very enjoyable simulator ride featuring the Simpsons! Even though the lineup was long, it didnt take that long to get through it and onto the ride. Most of the time waiting was spent walking the length of the line to get to the actual ride. Actual time spent standing around waiting was under 10 minutes... the ride itself had a fun little story and plenty of twists, turns, and drops. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but not that bad overall.

Let me preface this with I dont do well on simulators with a lot of centripetal force. Ive done this once and it was fun in the beginning before I started to feel like I was going to hurl. Once youre actually sitting down in the ride its pretty fun. The problem is that once you get to the front of the regular queue and youre split into groups you think youre about to get on the ride. You stand in that line for two or three loops of the video that sets up the story for the ride. Then you go stand in a small room with your group for another 10-15 minutes until you watch another short intro video. Then you can actually have some fun on the ride.Im not trying to discourage anyone, I think it just helps to know ahead of time what kind of waiting there is.

The setup is great! You are immersed in the show with the decoration, the sounds, and the great team members overseeing the lines, I also loved the safety video that is like a setting episode of the show itself. The ride itself feels its not that great. The movement of the car is very jarring and bumpy, like riding on rusty tracks. The animation is 3D, but very early 3D tech, and it feels dated when you see it, but the narrative is pretty funny.

The ride is big fun but again a screen based ride, what if you fill the building with a darkride system and you put some simpsons animatronics there? Maybe build a real krustyland? We really loved the whole springfield area and its theming.. So why not create a real simpsons ride instead of another simulator....The story was fun and all the small simpsons jokes make it a 4 star ride.. Not the ride itself

Major points for theming and keeping things faithful to the TV show. Unfortunately, its only faithful to the dreaded later years of The Simpsons. Really pulls you into this crapsack world of unsafe amusement parks, poor customer service, and unrestrained capitalism. Unfortunately, the writing isnt stellar, the jokes and plot are forced, and I didnt find it that funny. Its amusing enough on its own, though, if a bit nauseating, so yeah-- its good.
