Beautiful area of Epcot World Showcase area. The shop has a lot of great Japanese products and the toys, ramen serving sets, snacks, and fashion wares and choices are abundant and various. There is a kawaii subculture museum that showcases this art genre. No ride in this pavilion but the shopping makes up for the lack of a themed ride.

Landmark reviewLocated in the back of Epcot in the international pavilion is this slice of Japan. When you walk into this section of the park, you feel like you are transported to Japan with the architecture and bonsai trees. I did not get a chance to try the restaurants, but based on the other reviews they appear to be tasty. They do have a large store that has a lot of different products from Japan and you can also purchase freshwater pearls straight from the oyster. Finally, there is also an area that shows off Japanese culture with an excellent explanation about Harajuku. I also missed the drum show.

The exhibition truly gave a excellent introduction to Japan. The drums were very much enjoyed by everyone. I was most pleased that the performers were willing to answer questions. They were not just beautiful performers but well versed in their culture. It is a wonderful experience to be able to enjoy different customs and cultures but having a good conversation with the people is a hundred times better. I must say that this was my favourite world exhibit at Epcot

Japan is a great Epcot pavilion. First of all, dont miss strolling through the beautiful and tranquil gardens. And enjoy the architectural details of the area. There are many great places to eat here. The tepanyaki restaurant is always a favorite as well as sushi. Snacks, sake and shaved iced are all available at the kiosks as well. The shopping is really great here. There is a cultural exhibit as well so take the time to explore all areas of this pavillion. And dont miss the Japanese drum show.

Really beautiful with lots to see and buy, but... was really disappointed when I watched the pearl store opening the oyster to find a pearl (that is guaranteed) do a slight of hand (and not very well) and swipe a larger white pearl that was in that oyster for a little dark one. Pretty underhanded and shady and sad.

All the items that are sold in this store are not only Very over priced but the quality is Poor to say the least. Check out their purses if you dont believe me; made of cheap cloth but priced for leather. I have shop at this store enough to know not to anymore. They must think the average guess are too stupid to notice but some day it will happen. Please save your money and buy only Disney products because Disney guarantees their products and helps you with returns. This store does not.

With its subdued cultural nature, the Japan Pavilion is a breath of fresh air compared to most of the World Showcase.
