A quiet retreat right on N. Myrtle beach. 48 units but only about 24 are time shares. Time shares are managed by capital vacations which has more in N. Myrtle beach. All units have balconies facing the ocean. Parking is limited but a large lot is reserved for guests only 1 small block away.Great place to get away. Seasonal outdoor pool.

Second time we have been there. Had a wonderful time. It was very peaceful. Something we needed at this time with everything going on.

Great service and beautiful rooms. Awesome location on the beach. There are no hotels to one side and the beach is less crowded here. Parking is tight, but thats the only downfall. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

I went down during off season. Location was perfect right in the middle of north myrtle beach and mrytle beach. All the amenities that I needed like private master bedroom two bath rooms out door pool, and kitchen.

Need more public parking for visitors.

This is a place where you need to have a take it for what it is type attitude.PROS- It is literally on the beach and has nice. ocean views.You cannot get much closer, if at all to the wonderful beaches in the area.- A private pool is located on the property.- The condo is very close to a ton ofdifferent shops, restaurants and activities.- It is also very affordable. I personally found it difficult to find any other condo at this price range, while still being on the beach.CONS- The absolutle worst part of the experience was the parking. We were originally told that each resident would get 1 parking spot at the condo, and another at the lot down the street. We only were able to park by the condo one time the whole trip, and were subsequently blocked in by two other vehicles who decided to block in the other guest staying at the location.- The condo is pretty outdated, but it was to be expected with the price. Certainly not unlivable.- If you are a light sleeper, or have babies, this may not be for you as it is incredibly noisy at all hours of the night. You can hear every step outside, upstairs and next door.- Our balcony was slated downwards, so we stayed off of it. Seemed sturdy, but wanted to be safe.

I go here every year and meet my family. The room we always go to is usually clean but sometimes need some touch-ups on wear and tear. Right off the beach and its a nice quiet area. Plenty of shopping in me area as well as Barefoot Landing however theres not much to walk to unless you dont mind walking 8 to 10 blocks.

Place is crazy nice for the price. Definitely will be here next time.

I was here for only 3 days, although my parents were here for 2 weeks as part of their annual trip down here from Virginia. They ve had a timeshare here for around 30 years. The unit has been recently renovated and is very nice. Its very easy access to the beach. Parking is somewhat limited, but the extra lot isnt that far away, if needed. Its pretty peaceful here. Its not as exciting being here after being at a bigger place with an indoor pool, which matters more in the winter months, but its easy enough to find entertainment a short distance from here. Usually my family comes with me and it has always worked out well. My parents say the help is very friendly and responds promptly.

Our family has been vacationing here for 30 years. Great family condo with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, pool and uncrowded beach.

The room was large enough, but the room smelled of cigarette smoke even though it said no smoking inside the room and the microwave did not work. Parking was also very limited. The overall experience was good because the pool was clean and the room was nice. Just a few inconveniences.

The location is perfect for a family vacation. You have the best access to the beach. The room was nice and clean. It was so quiet and peaceful. It was my first time ever staying here and I come at least twice a year. I usually stay somewhere else but they were full this year. I really enjoyed my stay and this may be our new vacation spot.

Our family of 6 has been coming to Myrtle Beach for 23 yrs. Fifthteen of those staying @ Windy Shores. But this yr we have been very disappointed in the upkeep! We were promised a new refrigerator for 3 yrs. Rusty exterior, cracked bottom level that makes using the drawers very difficult. And until this yr, finally all food in the back wasnt frozen when needed! Stove burner knob kept falling off & burner stayed on highest setting. Fire hazard!! Sparks coming from outlet behind master bedroom furniture. Fire hazard again! We reported these things to the main office with no reply!! And we are owners, not renters! Perhaps this is why so many units are for sale! Everyone is fed up! The only improvements we ever see is to the exterior or new bed spread & curtain sets. Wake up Windy Shores. Listen to your customers. Maintenance fees increase leaving the essential needs declining. MERCY!!!!

Right on the beach. In North Myrtle Beach. Parasailing and banana boat 50 feet away. Place is about an 7.5 beach makes it worthwhile.

If you are looking for a clean place right on the ocean, this is it. Its in North Myrtle Beach, so a quieter environment, yet a very short drive from all the attractions. A little outdated, but very clean with comfortable beds and basic kitchen equipment. There is very limited on site parking, but adequate parking a block away in a designated lot. The spacious balcony is a real positive and we spent a great deal of time there as well as the clean pool and beach. Planning a return trip!

Disappointed as a time share owner for over 30 yrs that care of WSII has gone down hill so much with the amount of fees we pay. Many utensils and kitchen items are missing in our unit . WiFi is horrible. Large screen tv is gone. No wonder people are giving up their units and no one is purchasing them. We use to have a welcome brunch to attend and activities at the other resorts, those no longer exist. Very disappointed with Defender

We spent Christmas in the tree bedroom unit 303. The only thing that is great about the resort is its location: at the end of a culdesac and at a beautiful part of the ocean.Otherwise it is old and dirty. Sheets had spots and we were afraid of bed bugs. No amenities and minimal parking. Neighbors above us were super loud and our next door neighbors smoked a lot.This should not be part of the RCI timeshare community.

Condo was very clean and comfortable, although decor was a little dated. Great ocean front views. Nice pool area, also very clean and well maintained. Time-share vacationers were very friendly.

Parking was awful. Amenities you had to get on your own. Called for service that never came. Enjoyed not having maid bother us everyday. Location was perfect for what we were there for.

We found that even though Windy Shores II is equipped with an elevator that it was less than accommodating for anyone with mobility issues (wheelchair etc.) The Resort offers limited level parking spaces(12) with only one of these allotted to vehicles/persons with handicap permits. There were at least 3 other permit holders during our stay and utilisation of the hdcp permit spot was at a premium. These 12 spots were all covered, the remaining on site parking is uncovered and on a steep grade with overflow parking at least a block away. As the hdcp space was at a premium and the other level, covered spaces were preferred by other guests on numerous occasions we (and Im sure other handicapped guests) were forced to park on steep slopes while loading and unloading a person in and out of a wheelchair. As the entrance to the resort is down a very steep grade the offsite parking was not an option for us. The resort should allocate more permanent spaces for permit holders or be prepared to assign temporary permit holder parking spaces based on demand.

The stay was very nice overall. Its located in a good place near the main strip where everything goes on at the beach.

It was nice and quiet and had a perfect view. just wish they had a pool person to make sure it stays clean and maintain but overall when I return I wouldnt mind staying there.

The place is older but the room, or is it a condo?, we stayed in had 3BRs and 3BRs as well as a dining area, kitchen, and tv type room and balcony. The place was older and clearly in need of some updating inside and out but IT WAS CLEAN.
