Our room was huge, an entire apartment really, with a full kitchen, living room, a big bathroom, and a king bed, but the price was about what we would have paid elsewhere for just a bed and a smallish room. The view of the marina was incredible and I had fun watching the swing bridge in action next door. I only wish that we were in town longer.

A very good place for water activities.. its on the North myrtle beach, so less crowded.. great place for renting condos for big families, with a great view of the waterfront..

This is a beautiful landing for boats but it is also a delightful place to take a stroll. Sunrises can be particularly breathtaking here.

Loved the Dolphin Tour! I highly recommended anyone to ride at least once. You wont be disappointed!

Fun place! Good food and drinks, live music and a view of the intercoastal.

I recommend this place for any and all especially if you like boats, fishing and all things in between. Your view overlooks the marina...now we want a boat. The service was amazing yet pushy. I needed triple A batteries. It was cold and raining. The ladies at the front desk made me try several batteries until a few worked to keep me out of the weather. They were very nice and helpful. We will return but in the fall though.

The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly. Views are good too. Buuuuut the lack of privacy on the balconies is a shame. I dont wont to hear or see what others are doing, and surely dont want em seeing what im doing lol...its zero tolerance nonsmoking for all you smokers out there! Otherwise, its safe, its off the beaten path...nice change of pace from the busy mrytle strip

Positive: The room was had nice sized kitchen and nice sized bathroom. Sitting on the balcony and view of the marina was relaxing for us. The front desk staff were very congenial and helpful when checking in. Negative: It was a disappointment no free breakfast. We did have issues with setting the closed captioning button on TV but staff was very helpful to resolve the problem.

We were down for the week with my family and we had two rooms. They were clean and it was nice overlooking the marina. The kitchen amenities were VERY basic but enough to get you by. They have several public beaches nearby along with a public boat ramp into the intercoastal waterway. The marina has a nice restaurant and perhaps live music but we did not venture over there. Several fishing charters and dolphin tours are readily available either in the marina or a short drive away.

Nice location, room was large and equipped with a refrigerator and cooktop. The bedroom was updated but the living room area had not been refunded. Front end staff were very helpful

Its off the main drag and very quiet. Tidewater grill is across the street, is suggested for dinner.

Upon arriving at the front desk I was greeted with an unpleasant attitude from an elder woman. I was told that my third party reservation could take several hours to complete and that I should just leave and try again later... at 6 pm.

This place is amazing with lots of amenities and beautiful intercoastal waterway and marina views. Stayed in the beautifully furnished #326 and didnt want to leave. So convenient to the beach and fabulous shopping yet so peaceful and friendly...just a great place to stay in the heart of Cherry Grove.

Location, location, location! Conveniently located to Hwy. 9 and Hwy. 17 at the swing bridge. Lodging, restaurants, boat rentals and slips, all can be found here. This is our 2nd year watching the Intracoastal Christmas Regatta from Harbourgate. Already looking forward to the 3rd!

Absolutely beautiful facility nested on the Intercoastal Waterway..

Positive: Its close to the ocean and intercoastal waterway. The staff was amazing. Negative: There was a funny smell that may be dye to cleaning solution. Not complaining at least it was clean.

Nice sized rooms, full kitchen, even has washer and dryer. Room service is excellent they clean your dishes and give you more bath towels for your stay while your gone. FREE DVD rentals with updated movies. Beautiful view of the lake and boats. The only downfall I did not enjoy was that my room had a shared hallway with another room and when the guests ran in and out my door rattled and made so much noise. Other than that the stay was great, I would book again in the future.

Upon arrival, Bridget, the rudest person I’ve ever dealt with(we have video) said our rooms have been changed and there’s nothing they can do. She said it was our fault for booking with Expedia. She proceeded to yell at us(we have video) and put me on the phone with corporate. The reservation card had the rooms we reserved(I’d confirmed the day before), and they were marked out and gave us rooms 3 floors apart.(we have pictures) As we were walking out Bridget called me a drunk. Which was not the case bc we’d just driven two hours to be treated like this. We appreciate you ruining my wife’s birthday trip. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had and advise anyone to find ANYWHERE else!! I suggest you look into this, immediately.

Amazing stay but staff not the best. Felt rushed in every time talking to as well as waited 20 minutes to check in for noone in front at 5pm

This is a really nice Marina to go to even if you dont have a boat you can just look at the boats that are already available in the area its just relaxing

This place you call a hotel, is actually owned by independent owners that have their own condos. The front desk will NOT tell you that! Respect the property and remember this is a smoke free building.

We just checked in, and although the property seems nice from the outside, the room we were given was not acceptable. Immediately upon entering, it smelled like cigarette smoke, there was a large stain on the mattress, and there were multiple wall repairs that were never painted. When I complained to the front desk, they said they couldnt get us into another room, but that they could send maintenance to spray an air freshener and flip the mattress (it was single sided). Not a great start to our vacation.

Ice maker not working in room. No ice machines working. Was told to go to Hampton inn and get ice. Room not as advertised either.

Harbourgate Marina is top notch. My family and I have had the pleasure of staying here many times. We have never been disappointed. The well stocked condo units provide everything needed (pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, etc.) to cook full meals when we wish. A washer/dryer combo in each condo allows us to go home with clean clothes. Harbourgate is always clean and quiet and the employees go above and beyond to make your stay great without being intrusive. The location is easily accessible. We love the view of the waterway and marina. Very highly recommend. We have stayed at many other nice places in this area, but Harbourgate is our favorite.

To the eye it is asstedicly pleasing, it is roomy to a degree but the furnishings are very 80s.There are hardly any dishes and the plumbing and traffic noise is terrible. If you are handicapped and require one of those pool lift assist chairs that puts you in the pool, FORGET IT !!!

Well we have been at Har ourgate for about 5 years .And the last year every time we come we have to be very Quiet because of a older man comes down and tell we need to be guit .Watching Clemson last night We had TV out so could watch it and have a good time and not talk loud because he calls police. I dont understand that when we pay as much as he does for his room .We have never said nothing about people partying up there .We thought about moving boat out farther out but the people he calls on down there .He even come down on deck..Well I understand he goes to be early but sleep in other bedroom not on boat side .

Due to the HOA management group Resort Association Management and board member who constantly harass owners and guest, this place is absolutely the worse place to spend a day, week, month, and or own a unit. HOA dues are out of line to the maintenance of the grounds and building. Minorities are harassed to the point that Law Enforcement has to be called to calm things down. The poor girls at the front desk are scared to death to park their cars or leave one over night for fear that the HOA group will have it towed. Do yourself a favor stay away from this building and the other properties managed by Resort Association Management.

Nice place

Great resort to stay at! We booked through a vacation website that compares multiple prices. The resort had one, two and three bedroom suites. It looked like some were lived in permanently while others were booked by the night. Its right on the waterway and beautiful. The swing bridge is right beside the resort and the beeps and sounds can be loud from it but not overly so. It was very nice to stay at!!

Really enjoyed my stay. You get some decent perks just for staying the night. Two great restaurants within walking distance. Only negative is the bell ringing when the draw bridge is activated. It can wake you up if you dont have a fan on.

One of us in my party of four had to bring back the food two times before the person could even eat their meal. Plus everything was super expensive and the portions were soo small. The service was great but otherwise Im never going back there and I suggest to everyone else to stay away.

First-rate Marina with a very good restaurant and a very Scenic area

Very nice accommodations about 2 miles from the beach. Plenty of room for 8 people in the 3 bedroom unit. Pleasantly surprised with the supply of kitchen utensils for cooking and prepping meals. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the large selection of free DVDs.

My client owns a condo in here. Her and her family enjoy a couple vacations every year and she rents it out to guests who enjoys it as much as she and her family does. The staff is always friendly and helpful!

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Big rooms full size kitchen with everything down to a dishwasher. Probably a great place for small family to vacation. I just come down to gamble up the street at The Big M. Great deal for balcony over looking the Marina. Usually pretty good crowd in area being a couple restaurants are in walking distance being one of them next door. Its call fillets and have heard nothing but great things about the place.

Very nice location, with quality slips for many different sized boats / yahts. Freedom boat club is also located here. The prices might seem high but once you get into all the costs and hassles of owning a boat its very reasonable in my opinion. Theres a few nice restaurants in the area as well.

Great view. Did not find the staff very friendly. Hearing the bridge constantly turn got quite annoying. Very little sun coverage on the pool. Decent for visiting on business but probably not for a vacation. It is a good distance from most local attractions.

Extremely fun dolphin cruise on the Sea Thunder. Try to get a seat on the front of the boat, if you can. It makes it much easier to see the dolphins when they surface.

Went on the sea thunder dolphin watch. Didnt see any dolphins, however they did promise a free trip anytime, just need to make reservations through a texted link. Will try to come back again if Im in the area.

Undercooked vegetables, cold bread..Server never brought anymore after initial, long wait for food and not that busy. Drinks were good and not expensive. Review is for Filets Restaurant located in this location.

Truly wonderful! Clean, fluffy pillows, the amenities were just amazing! Beautiful pool. So much to view from balcony. FREE dvd rental down stairs. 3 min away from Dollar General for a qiuck meal to cook on full stove. Love! Love! Love!

Just took the jet ski dolphin tour. Absolutely amazing, & SO incredibly fun. Very nice & pleasant staff also.

This hotel and customer service is great. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious(It easily fit our family of 6). We were only a few miles from the ocean we had a nice time.

Online said 6 rooms available. I get there and was told that they were sold out. If i wanted to wait for a room i could but it would cost 186 instead of 105

Great place close to everything plus sunset views

Not booking this room/resort would be in your best interest. Im still not sure how it could be titled a resort. No breakfast or breakfast bar, no coffee filters in the room to make your own coffee, uncomfortable and squeaky bed, terrible wifi, improperly working AC, and an unprofessional maintenance staff, all made it an unforgettable experience but not for good reasons. The front desk staff were extremely friendly, but I had to bring the same issue to one lady twice before she finally sent someone to my room. The first maintenance guy was very nice, but did not fix the AC. The second maintenance guy came in and basically blamed me for the AC not working. It also wouldve been nice if my infant daughter was acknowledged as a person in the room.

Great place for short stay or long vacation. Family friendly, great views, Filets is awesome too.

Drove past it while on vacation, if I could stay for nothing I would. I go to visit my mother that lives down the road from the harbourgate marina.

Too close to a swing bridge. Old furnishings and really old carpet. Inadequate kitchen utensils. Vaccum broken. Beds were decent.

Great group of people running the dolphin boat rides! Such a fun and memorable experience.

Great stay and room but why cant u smoke outside??? Even on the balcony??? But other than that no issues.

Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable about different sharks, turtles, etc.
