Super awesome venue! Loved the Bongo hour! Great burlesque show also!

Absolutely love the shows here. The show hosts female & male are the sexiest and coolest ever. Arrive early to get yourself a seat downstairs or in the upper floor. The drinks service is good but drinks are very strong, guaranteed to get you drunk. The shows are hilarious and very sexy. The venue is very special and beautifully decorated. The price of the tickets is of great value. I definitely recommend this place.

Came here for the first time looking to watch my first burlesque show and I gotta say I was blown away. It was a variety show that made me laugh and left me awestruck with the stand up from the host, the dancing from the 2 beautiful ladies as well as the beautiful male who I give props to for his amazing courage and skills. Truly I night I will never forget.

This place is so much fun. The shows are always unique and incredibly entertaining, never a dull moment. I love when my favorite magician Cardone performs (no relation lol). Its get crowded which for me can be overwhelming but the place has little pockets against the walls you can stand /sit in that keeps you a bit shielded if you get there early enough.

YOU, YES YOU HAVE TO THE AMAZING SLIPPER ROOM. To have a great time, purchase your ticket online, try to get both the 9:30 Show and the midnight show (it was only $15). The doors open at 8pm. Get there 30-45 minutes before the doors open!!!! You will not find a seat if you waltz in at 9pm. It gets paaaaccckkkeeed. Get the table and chair spot upfront like I did. One table to the far right is for the legend. Hes about 80 and goes to all the shows, every night!! The comedians are so good. They definitely engage with the audience so be ready to be a volunteer and a heckler. The performers...my God!!! Amazing!!! Please have cash to tip them. They deserve it!!! There are burlesque dancers and so much more. Definitely stay for the midnight show to see the so much more! The drinks are really good, regular prices, and good sizes. I dont drink, but my Orange juice was in a huge cup. Everyone around me was lit, so Yea! The bathrooms are very clean, small, but clean! When youre done enjoying the slipper room go across the street for a slice of pizza. 24 hr pizza!! The Slipper Room is its own community so enjoy and be weird!!

We were in town visiting from Edinburgh Scotland and had an incredible experience here. The waitress who served us was very attentive and such a delight and the show was unbelievable from the two compares, Gogo boy and Cupid to all the wonderful performers.The venue itself takes you back to the early 1900s speakeasy with the decor which adds to the amazing atmosphere.I highly recommend this as a place to visit and show to take in if you are in NYC

This place is awesome. Ive never been here for a burlesque show but I did go for the Fire Side Mystery Theater. It was an entirely new experience altogether which I thoroughly enjoyed. If you get a chance, check out their podcast. The place is nice. When you get there, you have to walk up a flight of stairs. Theres an upper level seating area, not sure how much that holds but nonetheless, its a cute little spot.

Definitely go here if you have the time.I stayed the entire time (shows start at 9 and end a bit after 2); the quality of the acts remained high the entire time.The MCs were great too. They kept the crowd smiling and entertained throughout the night and were extremely funny.The 9:30 show was really crowded, lots of people left and new people came in for the midnight show but you should try and watch both if you can.Definitely recommend anyone visiting NYC to visit this place; the shows were all great and showcased the talent of the performers and it was risque and sexy as well!

Came for the Friday night show and it was awesome! Great entertaining MC, not too PC and well made drinks. The venue itself has a relaxed vibe and I’m a fan of the design of the overall place. Nice workers as well. Would recommend

What a great night! Visiting from NZ and thought wed stop in and so glad we did. The hosts were hilarious and the girls were classy and talented. My partner and I had such a good night. Highly recommend must do if youre visiting NYC

Amazing show but leave out the politics. What an incredible place!! Staff were awesome, drinks were fairly priced and we got there early enough (8pm) to make sure we got good seats, and it was worth it. The performers were all incredible and the MC had has in stitches! It would easily be a five star place if the MC just left out his political comments, took away from the show a bit.

Wonderful experience!!..I brought my husband there for his bday and went to the 9:00 pm Saturday show. If you are tired of the usual date nights in NYC like dining, movies, etc and want different kind of entertainment, I definitely recommend this event. My husband and I both enjoyed the variety of performances. Just an FYI, please go with an open mind because if you are the serious type or easily offended with things, this place may not be suitable for you; especially since there are racy and sexual jokes. I had an amazing time!

I celebrated my 50th birthday at The Slipper Room and had a fantastic time. The ambiance is great, the show was fun and the drinks were good. I was a happy lady.

Good time super fun place. I went the harry potter themed burlesque it was an experience I will never forget. Great food great drinks beautiful women / men. What more could you ask for... A real golden snitch!!

The animator is very talented and very funny. We wanted Burlesque and we received Burlesque in a very fun way. We had a great night at the Slipper room. We recommand for sure!

First time here. A group of us went for a show and left talking about the show all the way home. Truly entertaining. Catch a show and you will not be disappointed.

Funniest place ever. I went two birthdays in a row. Always a great spot with cool entertainment. Not for the squeamish!.

Fun show put on by great performers. Was surprised at the caliber of performers for the price of the ticket. Get there early if you want a seat. Bring ones for the go go dancers. Some amazing feats and some weird feats. You wont be disappointed.

If you don’t know how to spend your night, go to this place ! A lot of talented performers will make your night unforgettable!

Wonderful shows, but this time we had a mixed experience. The place was overbooked and we couldnt even enjoy the show standing up.. Great shows, but they should really care about how people enjoy it rather than how many people can fit in one place..

Ive been here a half dozen times or so for the Friday night show, and it has always been incredible fun with a great mix of humorous, sexy, magic, and weird acts. Last nights show, however, was terrible, with an incredibly weak MC and lackluster acts (at least the 4 we stayed for). My apologies to the couple on the street I convinced to go that show. Its usually better!

Best place to spend your weekend here. The show of Saturday is one of the best show in a week. The magics of magician are funny and wonderful. The stunt of fire of one team is amazing. I always appreciate the practice, hard work and confidence of these guys. The tickets of the show are always available in very reasonable price.

Great place and the Monday movie night is a great event to see upcoming movie makers showcase their work

A real New-York experience. Do not miss if you are visiting NYC. The creativity of the skits is limited but the costumes and the talent of the artist are delicious. The sassy comments of the MC are what make live show so great here!

My boyfriend and I went for Valentines day. It was our first Burlesque show and we DEFINITELY enjoyed it! It was very crowded so you should be there early to get an actual seat.

I had a great time at this little place. I came for a burlesque show and was not disappointed. I bought a VIP seat near the stage, but I think sitting anywhere in the place would be wonderful.It is a very intimate space, everyone is packed in together. There was an artist drawing the performers live, which was insanely cool. He was so talented. The hostess of the show, Broadway Brassy, was SO GOOD.I thought it was neat that they featured both male and female performers. Every artist was great and very talented.I would recommend.

Best burlesque show in town! I have sampled a good number of places in NYC and The Slipper Room far exceeds its competition. If you are fortunate enough to find the street door to this ancient theater then go right in and grab a seat asap because if you dont it will be gone in a flash. This place has a constant change of acts and shows almost nightly. All the performers they have are highy entertaining. Most shows have a comedic MC who is interactive with the crowd.

Place is an iconic theater. Went there tonight for for the first time for what was hailed as one of there top shows. Instead, I ended up dealing a mediocre show with third class burlesque and unfunny master of ceremony. People that there however, where very nice and accommodating. The show was on the pricey side as I paid $40 for my reserved seat which I did not really use because it was assigned to me and I did not like the location as it was very close to the stage.

Sunday burlesque show is absolutely fun and wild and worth it. Make sure you bring plenty of ones to tip the performers!!! Worth paying $45 for the reserved seats/table down in front

SO much fun! We went to a Sunday night show, a little worried that we may be getting the B team. Not the case! The MC was amazingly funny and engaging. The magician was perfect. We sat up top which offered a great view without the risk of getting pulled into an act.I highly recommend the Slipper Room.Great for groups and celebrations.

Really good dancers and a type of shake that can make you quiver in the knees.

Some good acts, mixed humour, some very impressive physicality from the performers and occasional bit of nuance. Poor standing/seating options unless not overcrowded.

Intimate, old LES theatre setting. Great, small performance space. My beloved Lizs book launching was here so its special for me.No seating but there is a balcony. The capacity cant be more than 150 people. There is a fully stocked bar.

Excellent space for a drink and a funky NY show. I really recommend it to anyone who wants to have a fun and alternative NY experience.

TL;DR - loved it, my wife and I will go again, every time we go to NYC.First off - the show is hilarious and the MC ‘Wilfredo’ is a fun character. The women are beautiful and their performances range from classic burlesque to fun variety shows. Pardon me for forgetting all of the names, but Pinky’s hoolahoop performance was outstanding. Just mesmerizing. The “love stinks skunk” bit. Please no. I don’t think it landed.Tanzy and errr, Penny Ren?, were amazing. Tansy’s reverse strip to “Turn the Page” was just beautiful and perfect. Penny’s traditional burlesque to, let’s say, to more aggressive actions was spectacular. It really felt like the performers were enjoying themselves.I will also say the unsung heroes of the show were the male performers. I hate to say I forgot his show name, but the 6’5” male burlesque dancer was fantastic. Really a feat of strength and grace. Just an absolute professional.Wilfredo was a surprisingly enjoyable host and his ability to work the crowd was appreciated. Really tied the whole show together as a variety show.Peter Peter. Jesus. I don’t even know what to say. I was standing next to him in the crowd thinking, “who is this Bill Nye looking Mother F****r?” Yeah. Made sense after. I was equally thrilled and terrified of his follow-on performances. Well done.Over all, loved it. A must attend for anyone with an open mind. What great performers.Lessons learned - hour early isn’t early enough if you want to have seats. Get there around 8 for the 9:30 show. Get all the drinks you want for the show during that time. Once the crowd shows up, you’ll be lucky to see the stage until intermission.

I was removed from the chair I was occupying and forced to stand after I had arrived an hour early to make sure I got seats. Alas. Ill know better next time. More communication, guys.

Wow what a great show! I’ve never heard of this place and I went for a friends bday. If you’re ever looking for something to do that’s different come here ! The show makes you feel apart of the act and what amazing acts there are. Please come here. I gave this place 4 stars simply because I wasn’t a fan of the drinks but you shouldn’t let that turn you away I’m willing to go back and try the drinks again to see if they can earn that 5 star rating.

Went expecting some good burlesque. Arrived early (recommend) and had one of the best times! Great prices on drinks, good pours, amazing atmosphere, and top notch burlesque. Cannot recommended enough!

Dark, moody, sexy and funny! My girlfriend and I stayed here until they were closing up and loved every minute. The place itself is great and the hosts and performers are fun, professional and we really warmed to them. 5 stars, totally recommended.

I went for a burlesque show. A tight little venue with pleasant serving staff (how many times do you get thanked at the door?) and a close environment that makes it easy to see the stage. Some of the seating is a little grungy, but hey, the place has a vintage vibe.

I am at a loss for words for the fabulous art of burlesque brought to us in a classy and sophisticated manner. I loved Rosie Cheeks and Tansi along with all the other performers. I will never come to NYC again without a trip to The Slipper Room just like I dont miss seeing a Broadway show. Thank you all so much for keeping me entertained and filled with joy!!!!

Went with a friend who has been here before. Great recommendation! Comfy little place which got pretty packed. The show is amazing! Hosted by a funny comedian it was separated in multiple smaller acts, from sexy burlesque dancers to stunning acrobatics. Really something special.Prices seem to have become a bit higher now, but still worth it!

The only thing that Im sad about is the fact that we had to leave early. It was such a fun time. I just wish there was more seating or we wouldnt have left!!! The MC was AMAZING...So funny. The show was great. Definitely going back!

Performers are amazing and the host super funny. Too bad that tourists discovered this place, in the crowd there were too many douchebags. But even then, the cast made the night incredible.

Entertainment was great. Problem with this place is that its small and they definately overbook people to watch the show. If you want a seat you have to get there once the doors open at 8pm and sit there for an hour and a half to 2 hours. May go back but not 100% it would be worth the hassle of standing up all night. My feet were definately killing me the next day.

I have never been to such an amazing performance with such absolutely astounding people. The atmosphere is fun and the energy in the entire room was wicked.A note for those with disabilities:I had back surgery 2 years ago and there are times that it flairs up, badly, and I have extreme difficulty walking. This place is wicked handicap friendly!!! There is an elevator and a handicap bathroom, both of which they are more than happy to let you use. If you need help (like I did) they are extremely accommodating.So seriously. Go. You will be wicked happy you did.

So much fun! The acts were amazing, the MC was hilarious, and the bartender was ON POINT! the only issue I had with this place was it was crowded the night we went. But that is you know EVERYONE wants to be there. Go with friends and youll have a great evening!

It blows my mind that they would sell more tickets than they have seating. If you buys tickets make sure you get there early because if you don’t it’s standing room only. I wish I could rate the performances , but I couldn’t see a thing.

Revolting, awestricking, sexy, funny. The Slipper Room combines all these elements to create a truly memorizing burlesque production. This a phenomenal way to spend your time and money. Make sure to bring some singles ;).

I have been to a Burlesque show years back in Las Vegas so this was a fun thing to do here as well. A friend recommended The Slipper Room and after reading the reviews, we decided to go for the midnight show. It was packed and it was kinda smelly (maybe as it was raining all evening) but other than that, the show was great and the crowd itself pretty entertaining. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking to do something different and want a real NYC experience. Be ready to stand and be jostled around by the other patrons as the place itself is not too huge.

Another NYC staple and a true gem of this city. The experience begins at the door when you are greeted by a welcoming, smiling, well and neatly dressed man. Pay your door fee which may range from $10-$20 depending on the night and scheduled performances.Once upststairs if you are lucky to find a seat then help yourself to one. EXCEPT the one to the right of the stage, that table is exclusively for huvy. Run to the bar and youll be pleased to find that drinks are very reasonably priced. Make sure you tip your bartenders, the dancers and the bucket when passed around. These people take their jobs to the next level. Acro-performers, fire eaters, burlesque dances and comedic monologue MCs in between acts.VERY IMPORTANT!!!If you are easily offended, if you consider being a prude one of your virtues, if you find no humor in visual or verbal vulgarity, if the nearly nude human body offends you. This place is not for you. However, if you can leave your inhibitions at the door then you will find this place as a place of humor, coquiterie, sensuality, racy acts a true marvel that we must support. Slipper room, thank you for an amazing night, my hat goes off to you, your staff: door, bartenders, wait staff, performers, mcs.. i loved you.

Went for the Slipper Room Show on Friday and stayed for the entire night. This place is a real gem and Bastard Keith was an amazingly gifted, inspiring host with no sense for poltical correctness whatsoever. Will be happy to return whenever Im back in town!

First time going her and didnt know what to expect. If you come with a open mind you will have a very good time. They have a really solid show. The host has a strong 10 of stand up and his ex wives are talented and some very athletic.
