A nice theatre but its very big. We saw Tootsie at the back of orchestra and rear orchestra at this theatre is further back than rear orchestra at most theatres on Broadway. The theatre is inside the Marriott Marquis hotel which is great as they have a lot more bathrooms and nicer bathrooms than most Broadway theatres.

This theatre in a hotel is a great Broadway experience. Essentially in the lobby of the Marriott this wide spacious theater has great Broadway production acoustics, lights and sets are spectacular! Since this is a newer theatre in Times Square it was built to create stunning visuals and set changes. The night I went Tootsie was performed and this was a great, truly great show, shame that its closing in January. The theater itself is great tho and Im sure the next show will be spectacular as well

A belated but most sincere thanks to Tiffani Gavin, Staff Manager of the Marquis Theatre , NY, NY. In October 2019, I took my Mother to see Tootsie and had a glorious time. My Mother is oxygen dependent, visually impaired & mobility limited. I contacted Ms Gavin, a week prior to our arrival & she assured me that our day would be taken care of. True to her word, on arrival we had a staff member assigned to us to assist us to our seats, where an electrical cord was waiting to plug in the oxygen compressor.Tiffani is an asset to your organization and a real people person. The entire staff was so accommodating and professional. Please acknowledge Tiffani and her staff and compensate her accordingly. While the play was fantastic, Tiffani & her staff were the real highlight of the day.

A beautiful theater located inside of the Marriott Times Square! It has been one of my favorite theaters since I went to Me And My Girl many moons ago. I love how convenient the car parking is because it is undercover and very close. The theater is quaint. Recently we took in Escape to Margaritaville! A perfect show for the Marquis theatre.

Had an AMAZING TIME seeing Tootsie! What a terrific play! All the fun of the movie, with more wit and humor. Many real great laugh-out-loud moments. They made some great twists on the original story so dont think you know whats going to happen! And threw in correctly placed, non gratuitous, profanity.Only the second play where the F word is worked perfectly into a song. (Book of Mormon is the other)

The theater itself is pretty nice. Well graded for good views from most seats. Decent legroom. The ushers enforce the no mobile phones policy. The problem is there are only a few single-person wide escalators to use to exit, so it tends to back up. The security staff at the stage door were very nice as well.

We got lottery tickets to Tootsie for $45 and were seated in the center orchestra section, 3rd row from the front. We had an amazing experience, loved the show and the actor Santana fontino... My god he carries the entire show on his shoulders and he does Justice to it. He was amazing as a woman, better than himself. Somehow his character blossomed as Dorothy and he seemed so apt for the role. Loved the show to the Moon and back. Its a must watch comedy.

Nice theatre in the heart if Broadway. Took my parents to see Tootsie for their 50th anniversary and we had a great time. The orchestra seating is sloped so everyone has a clear view of the performance. The theatre is connected to the Marriott hotel so if youre visiting from out-of-town (and have the cash to spend) you can go from room to theatre and back again without leaving the building.

The theatre was OK. Seating was kind of tight. The problem with the theatre is that there are no restrooms after you pass through security which most people did not realize. Review №60

The theater itself is nice. The seats are a decent size and comfortable and nearly all seats have unobstructed views of the stage. The down size is the complete lack of proper escalators and elevators to get everyone to the 3rd floor of the Marriott hotel where the theater is in a Timely fashion. It took us 25 minutes to go from the door at the street to the theater. And it requires the use of 3 escalators. I would avoid the theater which is impossible if the show you want to see is playing there. Hopefully they rectify this problem since it has been going on for quite some time.

The show was amazing and Id recommend it to anyone and everyone. The venue itself was somewhat lacking. the bathrooms were in the lobby area rather than within the theater area. I was encouraged to use e- tickets, and, because they were on my phone, anytime a member of my party needed to leave to use the restroom, they needed my phone for re entry. Leaving the venue was pure insanity. Even after using the restroom, the wait to leave was absurd. They filtered all 1500 people to one, very narrow escalator (one person at a time) to leave. It was unquestionably a fire hazard. Eventually, security opened two emergency exit doors to allow crowds to filter out. Im not sure why this is even a thing, why the theater doesnt have it together, but we were latte to dinner because of the mess. Ive been yup a number of shows and Ive never seen anything like this. Luckily, the show was amazing and cancelled it out.

Only entering and exiting pose problems for this large and beautiful theater. Reopened after major renovations to accommodate theaters technical demands, the performance I saw was comfortable and colorful and tucked all boxes. The theater is located inside the Marriott Marquis hotel, and access to anything in this building is via elevator or escalator. Ince arriving at the appropriate floor, one is funneled through a small entry bridging two areas, but made less claustrophobic by open views out, up and down. If youre not in a hurry to arrive or leave, the spacious theater is the place to be.
